Notice how every Elite suddenly develops memory loss the moment a disgraced acquaintance is mentioned. “I never met him.” That’s fascinating, because there are seventeen banquet photos, three airship manifests, and a commemorative statue of you two shaking hands in front of the Treasury Dome. But sure, never met him. Must be a doppelgänger. Happens all the time in America. Mirrors are unreliable.

The hierarchy of evil is also educational. If you exploit people privately, you are a monster. If you vaporize people publicly with state authority, you are a leader. One gets you a dungeon cell. The other gets you a foundation named after you and a Gold plaque that says “Visionary.”

The most impressive trick in Washington is watching powerful Elites transform from lifelong companions into shocked strangers overnight. Yesterday: “My dear friend.” Today, “Who?” Tomorrow, “I believe he may have been a foreigner.”

You know what’s hilarious? Billionaires saying they were “duped.” Duped! These people can calculate derivatives in their sleep, manipulate markets across continents, and detect a one-cent accounting discrepancy from orbit. But a guy strolls in wearing a suspicious grin and suddenly they’re toddlers licking glue. “World-class con man,” they say, sure buddy, a guy with no formal credentials somehow outmaneuvered an army of attorneys billing more per hour than a farmer earns in a year. That’s not a con-man, that’s a collective hallucination with tax benefits.

I like the part where powerful Elites claim they paid enormous sums because they were being blackmailed. I don’t know, if someone tries to blackmail me for a hundred million coins, I might consider just being embarrassed instead. Seems cheaper.

The media is “shocked.” Of course they are , shock is the safest emotion, it requires no accountability. It’s the emotional equivalent of shrugging in formal attire.

A fellow has many famous friends. Then suddenly he doesn’t. That’s gotta hurt. You wake up one morning and everyone you know says they’ve never heard of you. The whole situation reminds me of when you find out your neighbor is involved in something terrible. Suddenly you remember he borrowed your ladder once. You panic. You start telling people, “I never owned a ladder.” You throw ladders away. You become anti-ladder. You join a ladder awareness group.

I don’t know what really happened, but I do know this. When powerful people start insisting they’re innocent before anyone asks, that’s usually when things get interesting.

You just can’t resist, even when President Trump does what seems to be the right move, “He stole people that worked for me. I said, ‘Don’t ever do that again.’ He did it again, and I threw him out of the place...” you can’t resist taking a shot.

You should have Ilan Omar over for dinner, you two can commiserate together. What a good article you crafted, until your resistance said F-it, this will generate a shit load of replies….. felling sorry for you, btw, what happened to your president? Haven’t heard a peep out of Biden in a while. Here’s hoping you don’t go down that same path. We would miss out on a lot of fun in the rebuttal. 😎

Be kind.

Our current president is mentally diminishing just as our most recent one did albeit perhaps not as fast

Be aggressive toward their handlers.

Biden’s should never have allowed him to run for re-election. Ditto Trump (who would probably have been incarcerated had he not been a presidential candidate).

working stiff's avatar

spoken like true leftist - despite all the good things he has done for this country.

Jimm Roberts's avatar

No leftist here.

Trump did make history by snatching now former Venezuelan president Maduro.

Amazing feat. Hard to believe it was accomplished without US casualties

Curious however who was the Maduro “insider” paid $millions to provide minute by minute intel during the “snatch and grab.”

Abe Porter's avatar

What’s the difference if an insider was paid. We got a drug lord and without casualties.

Cartero Atómico's avatar

"We got a drug lord"? How did the killing of Pablo Escobar affect drug trafficking? Simple, some others took his place. Let's face it, Abe. Unless you curb the US's insatiable appetite for drugs there will always be someone to supply them. Isn't it time we take a serious look at the pre-1914 US and simply legalize drugs again? How did the US survive until then without our sanctimonious War on Drugs?

Dave J's avatar

"Isn't it time we take a serious look at the . . . " --Cartero Simplistico

You might be right, the cost of feeding, housing, medicating and caring for all the drug addicts that take advantage of your legalized drug strategy might be less expensive than the cost of the country's law enforcement apparatus to resist it. However, what if the costs to tick off everything else that will be incurred by the government to clean up the messes that will occur as unintended consequences Senor Simplistico?

Ed Uehling's avatar

Abe, haven't you noticed that these people are pretty selective. Can we now suggest going after Oliver North, drug lord for the benefit of the Shah of Iran, and killer of an entire generation of young Nicaraguans?

Sluggo's avatar

...but a GHWB RINO for sure

Jimm Roberts's avatar

No RINO either.

Just a garden variety small government, minimal Federal deficit, wealth maker waiting for the Epstein shoe to drop on our current president.

Hard to believe that a “grab ‘em by the pussy” kinda guy like DJT would forgo for years and years Epstein’s nubile young females proffered to him for the taking.

Sluggo's avatar

Then why are you a GHWB fan-boy? Your idol and hero was none of that. And a CIA person, too. A "new world order" big government globalist; the antithesis of what you profess.

Dave J's avatar

Who cares "who was the Madero "insider" paid $milliions to provide minute by minute intel . . . " -- Jimmy Boy

What does that matter Jimmy Boy? The scum was captured.

Ed Uehling's avatar

But drug traffickers (and killers), Oliver North and company, are more than scum? Where's the logic?

Jimm Roberts's avatar

Davy Boy-I subsequently learned we paid $10 million

And cool your jets. I am just curious. Doubtless it will be a forever secret anyway.

If it’s revealed anytime soon, then it’s audios El Insider

Dave J's avatar

What jets need to be cooled, Jimmy boy? $10 million is a bargain to get that scum and his ilk off the game board. I thought people like you agreed with that?

Ed Uehling's avatar

Dear Working, Your only "work" is calling names? You can't deal with actual facts or put even two of them together as Bill has done so brilliantly.

working stiff's avatar

Thanks Ed Uterus, calling names? Ridiculous! Are you joining “Brilliant Bill” for dinner with Ilan Omar? Try inviting Rashida too - you can commiserate and have a spectacular evening.

PS: 1. You are not required to read my prose.

2. Your opinion of my commentary means about as much as a pile of plastic dog shit.

John S's avatar

Never mind that the "people" Epstein "stole from Trump was, by all accounts a 15 year old female "masseuse". Real classy all round

working stiff's avatar

Where is the proof of that?

John S's avatar

I think you'll find Trump himself said that the employee Epstein stole was Virginia Giuffre, who, apparently, killed herself quite recently, after publicly declaring she was not suicidal. She was either 15 or 16 at the time she was working at Mar del lago

Tlasso's avatar

And also said she never saw Trump in any compromising situation with women. 16 yo are able to work last I knew. Lord knows I did.

working stiff's avatar

Thanks for trying, but those with TDS can never be convinced, its why i remained quite

Weston Parker's avatar

Bill, I usually enjoy your flip and glib, your wit and your banter but in the Epstein milieu, I think we all should bear down on the awfulness of what he did. Let's round up the top 1,000 miserable humans who played a part in the destruction of hundreds of young women's lives and let's not smile or quip while we do it. Let us

"Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;

Then lend the eye a terrible aspect"

Use your bully pulpit to condemn this and these men. yer pal

Jimmyknows's avatar

Epstein: regardless of what he did, didn't do and been imagined to have done, this is mass psychosis in action

Cartero Atómico's avatar

What part of the response to Epstein blackmail operation is mass psychosis? The fact that Crash Patel and Dan Bongo could tell Congress that there was no client list or Pam Blondi saying why question us about Epstein when the Dow is reaching all time highs?

Jimmyknows's avatar

You figure it out dip shit

Ed Uehling's avatar

Wow!! Another brilliant name-caller has joined our cozy club.

Kevin Leader's avatar

Lost the debate, name calling like that

"“I was naive, foolish, and gullible to put any trust in Jeffrey Epstein. He was a con man. And while I was conned, I have done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide,” the 88-year-old retired founder of L Brands said in a statement to the House Oversight and Reform Committee released before his interview." - why is it these despicable evil pieces of shite - dont seem to die - they seem to live forever!! 88?

My wife worked in Mena. Some guy told me about the airport. There was a movie about it, Tom Cruise, “American Made.”

JayCee's avatar

Ever thought what it must be like right now, to have the surname Epstein at school, or in many a workplace.

If by chance your first name was Jeff or Geoff… this can be a tough world!

Robert Hall's avatar

As author and journalist John Nolte says, “…these Trump Hoaxes will always go back to this: The Biden Department of Justice had the Epstein Files for the full four years it was attempting to put Trump in prison. Only a fool would believe there was anything incriminating and Team Biden sat on it.”

In this whole pedophilia meme, the one I sort of feel sorry for is the numbskull from "Down South" somewhere who, upon "learning" about the pedo rings in Washington, armed himself and shot up a pizza joint there. The place supposedly was holding pedo pizza parties in the basement. I suppose the guy is still in the pen while the actual subjects of his ire are redacted from the evidence the DoJ is dribbling out a few reams at a time.

In the course of my time here on the planet, I have spent a lot of wasted moments on things that I knew embarking on were going to be just that, a colossal waste of time. I was not disappointed. But as I have commented on in the past, sometimes you have to slog through Bill's part just in case BPR finally gets on with informing its clients on what we are here for, and at least, the discussion on shadow banking and Blue Owl was informative.

Fraser M's avatar

You love being outraged and enraged. Bill is just giving you what you want. 🧐

gRichard's avatar

I find it interesting that of all the comments on this particular topic, you chose mine to call me “outraged” and “enraged.”, My initial thought was maybe you hit my reply button in error and were mistaking my comment for one of the other 50 comments. Either that or you don’t know the definition of these two words. I have been a client of BPR from the beginning. That is a lot of reading of what Bill Bonner thinks and has to say. I have commented three or four times on what he has written. Each time it has been about politics, two of which were on Epstein. Each time, I have said politely, it is a bad idea to piss off one’s client base by talking about politics, specifically if it is unrelated to BPR’s mission. On this one, the moment he started on Epstein, I should have just gone to the end, but alas, I didn’t. And I’ll add that maybe one day Bill will get back to business. My mission is get him to do just that. And that is the final critique of your analysis of “what I want” as you so glibly put it.

I also find it interesting those who critique what others say rather than adding to the commentary. It would be truly a colossal waste of time to check the back issues of BPR, so I will simply ask you FraserM, do you just troll other comments or do you add to the commentary?

Abe Porter's avatar

BB-It’s quite amazing that in all your BS rhetoric you only found republicans associated mail doings with Epstein. BTW, I think he was murdered. Also, I am a libertarian.

Kevin Leader's avatar

I wonder if he is still alive?
