Bill, always the consummate student of history, you forever enlighten us. It is that study and knowledge of history which teaches that only time and technology change, but people do not.

Ah the study of history; which books and who wrote them? That is the question...

A splendid description of history past. Reparations would be a horrible idea. Too much graft and corruption would come from the implications of same, without a measurable exact tally of who would receive what. Insanity on steroids for sure. Bill, your knowledge of history is a real treasure. Thank you for sharing. Hope that you have a wonderful summer.

We already have reparations (to a degree)…… its called taxation - take from the productive and give to the non-productive.

Yes - interesting history lessons. And, as always, history is written by the conquerors - not the losers. What is also interesting is there is no mention of the end of the Petrodollar by the Saudis and the announcement of the development by the BRICS with its own international payment system supposedly to be backed by gold. World changin', Boys! Hang on to your hats.

More history, of the which I would not think of to look for! Also that the human being has not changed his or her behavior. Kill or be killed seems the norm today as back then.

It’s sad, from the grandson of William the Conqueror, early 11th century, until the 1900’s, the Irish fought for their country; now, immigration has dissolved it. So much for “The English Speaking People, the hope of Churchill who heralded his Anglo Saxon roots. Maybe, it’s ordained or maybe it’s just dumb.

History - Deploying eloquent hallucinations about the past to make persuasive arguments for the Approved Narratives of the present, and discredit as "conspiracy theories" the narratives about the past and present that debunk Approved Narratives. The multiplex theater of competing accounts of reality is more evident to those who migrate between theaters and take the time to become familiar with the connections of the writers, directors, and producers of the various narratives and their funding sources.

FVM, one of the most eloquently written summary paragraphs I have seen in a long while!

Connecting Narratives (both approved and alternate), Narrative Propagators (mainstream and alt) and Funding Sources remains the source key to unlocking an understanding of what is transpiring and why. And a primary reason I have followed Mr. B and company for nearly two decades....Connect the Dots and Follow the Money!

Bill, I like the paragraph on reparations. Reparation payments must come from the living, who had no part in the wrongdoing, and go to other living people, who did not suffer from them. This statement I think sums up current America in a nutshell. Thanks again.

PLEASE PARDON CAPS ALMOST BLIND

THANKS BILL. A WONDERFUL WALK DOWN HISTORY LANE, PERMIT ME TO COMMENT ON "REPARATIONS". ALL OF US COULD BLADDER ON FOR SEVERAL HOURS ABOUT THIS, ONE MORE FORM OF "WOKE INSANITY". BUT, WHAT MORE NEED BE SAID? IS SIMPLY ANOTHER FORM OF LEFTIST INSANITY. PERHAPS, THEIR MAIN PURPOSE REALLY IS TO SCRAMBLE OUR BRAIN TALKING ABOUT IT. MEANWHILE TAKING US A GIANT STEP FORWARD TOWARD THE "TIPPING POINT".

JUST ONE MORE WASTE OF MILLIONS PERHAPS BILLIONS OF TAX PAYERS DOLLARS AND DEFICIT SPENDING. ONCE MORE, IS THIS PATH TO BANKRUPTCY INTENTIONAL?

LET US USE OUR VALUABLE TIME DEVELOPING A THIRD PARTY MOVEMENT. THE TIME IS RIPED.

SINCERELY,

LIAM

It's just the progressive nihilist fascist left appeal to "victimhood". If you're a victim, you get free stuff and are elevated into a higher position than the "non-victims". Yes, you are right - it is just another form of leftist insanity.

PLEASE FORGIVE CAPS ALMOS BLIND

THANKS JOHN. YOU MAY RECALL THAT ABOUT A MONTH AGO YOU REMINDED ME TO APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE FOR THE CAPS. I REALLY DO NEED THEM. IT TAKES ME, WITH 3 MAGNIFYING GLASSES, MORE THAN AN HOUR, TO TYPE WHAT I COULD HAVE TYPED IN TEN MINUTES BEFORE I LOST MY VICION.

JOHN, I DETECT FROM YOUR COMMENTS THAT WE ARE 90% on the same page. PERHAPS, for the first time IN OVER A HUNDRED YEARS, THE TIME IS RIPE FOR A SUCCESSFUL THIRD PARTY MOVEMENT. MOST CAN SEE THAT BOTH PARTIES HAVE BEEN CORRUPTED, AND WE CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS. THAT WILL SIMPLY MEAN MORE GOVERNMENT BY ALIEN FORCES, OFTEN REFERRED TO AS THE DEEP STATE. BUT, WHATEVER ITS NAME, OUR VERY WORTHY CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN USURPED BY ALIEN FORCES. FURTHER, THESE ALIEN FORCES ARE LEADING OUR NATION INTO PERDITION. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT WHAT MANY, PERHAPS MOST, ARE CALLING DUMB, IDIOCY, STUPIDITY, LUNACY, INSANITY, ETC.--- IS ACUALLY,

INTENTIONALITY?

MANY OF THE SLEEPING GOOD GUYS ARE AWAKENING. MANY OF THE GOOD HEARTED WOKIST WOKESTERS ARE AWOKENING. THEY ARE BEGINNING TO REALIZE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN INDOCTRINATED, BRAINWASHED, LIED TO, CHEATED, ETC. THE UNWINDING OF THE COVID HOAX, VIA SUCH AS THE FAUCCI HEARINGS, IS A HUGE NEW BEACON OF TRUTH. THE WOOL HAS BEEN PULLED BACK FROM THE EYES OF OLDTIMERS AND LAMBS ALIKE.

PLEASE HELP US IGNITE A GRASSROOTS WILDFIRE THIRD PARTY MOVEMENT TO SAVE THE AMERICAN DREAM. WE CAN DO THIS. KEEP FAITH.

SINCERELY,

LIAM

Liam,

I agree with just about everything you have written, except for the third-party idea. A successful new third party would have to be based on Individual rights, and all the ramifications and underlying principles that lead one to advocate for individual rights. In a very broad sense, I suppose many would say that the Libertarian Party has that message. But it never gets any votes, and it seems to me, it has a muddled message in some respects and lack of focus, as well as lack of a fundamental, coherent, philosophical base. That is, there are all sorts of people who consider themselves "Libertarians" who do not have compatible ideas.

The problem our country faces goes well beyond politics and cannot be solved by a political party at this time. We need to get to a point where a significant number of people (doesn't have to be a majority) can think rationally - that is, based on the facts of reality. I advocate for Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism since she has given us a rational justification for individual rights. There is not enough space here to get into her philosophy. I will only say that she advocated for a rational education of our children teaching them how to think independently rather than being indoctrinated. She warned about the progressive takeover of our education in the '60s and '70s. I suppose we can start by convincing enough people that so-called "public" (i.e., government-controlled) education is not teaching our children to think. The only way to solve this is to have a free market in education. This may sound like a long process to you, and it is. But only when we reach some sort of critical mass of rational people, no political party will solve our problems because it will be no better than what we have now. I could go on and on and state many reasons why, but then I would be writing a book.

The Irish are rich, because of the leprechaun, the pot of gold sits at the end of the rainbow. Old English furniture cream oils the table. Dinner served, fried taters and perch.
