Bill, your "Bird story" is better entertainment than Hitchcock. Thanks for keeping a smile on our face while Prof Joel gives us the bad news.

The crow story is the perfect example of unforeseen/unintended consequences, so well manifested by today's "government". We're so sorry, Uncle Albert... Best always. PM

Hi Joel ,

You can but shouldn’t say only half of the story :

The index dollar rose since January 21 from 89 to 114,75 and since October 22 til beginning of February it did indeed correct to 103,50 where it stand now . That’s the all story .

Correct. We followed it up, too... and now, down...

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears; I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their bones;

So let it be with Caesar. (Julius Caesar)

As the crow flies!

Ecclesiastes 9:5

ESV

(5) For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for jthe memory of them is forgotten.

I don’t know exactly why all of the above crossed my mind after reading Bonner and Comments! Hahaha! 😂😹🤣

Egypt -- No better example of your Shakespeare quote than Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. For every one TV documentary on a good person or group, there seems to me to be at least 10 TV documentaries on Hitler and the Nazis. At one time it was so bad on the History Channel that I began calling it the Hitler Channel! I guess many folks are more interested in evil than good. Sad!

Ain’t that the truth!

Who the hell wants to watch donations being delivered to third world countries and people getting off drugs?

Imagine the poor ratings on a channel like that, a TV news channel that would only televise good things happening around the world! Their ratings would be as bad as CNN! J/K 😂

𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤, 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥! Crows are intelligent birds. Science has demonstrated that they remember humans they come in contact with, good or bad. It is not uncommon for them to attack humans. For good reason a flock of crows is called a "murder! Hitchcock knew -- the birds in his movie "The Birds" were crows! Keep well, we need your excellent analysis in these troubled times! My two cents (partially with tongue in cheek)...

Love the crow story, reminds me of my skink story, but that is a story for another day. Lest anyone think there is serious business in DC to fix our problem, I read this missive on line yesterday. There is talk within the scientific community that a plume of "moon dust" would help to subdue some of the harmful rays of the sun if it were dispensed into our solar system. I read further and discovered that the US Office of Science and Technology was reviewing the comments on other rapid interventions to curb global warming and evidently were considering the same option. Also, the European Union is studying the idea. So, there is concern all about for fixing the problem. Our problem is the folks who are considering this as a remedy for global warming! Just sayin' not to take anything from the poor crow.

Bad diagnosis, in medicine or anything else, can lead to disaster. It’s always best to be absolutely sure of the big problems before setting out to fix them. Trial and error is for little things.

This reminds me of the global dimming theory that was popular after planes were grounded after 9-11.

Bill, As I recall it, the Federal Reserve was established to ensure there would always be suitable liquidity in the credit markets. If there was some extraordinary demand for dollars, then the Fed would produce them and, to avoid inflating the currency, it would withdraw them when the demand for dollars dissipated. Perhaps I've misunderstood its charter.

Regardless, is its machinations solely responsible for the massive loss of USD purchasing power? Does the lack of a restraint on Federal government spending contribute to what your AI machine cites the impending loss of confidence in the USD?

Bill fabulous story about how to get rid of critters/squatters who take up unwanted residence in your chimney .. one of the invisible stats that is really important are the dramatic rise in eviction notices which are still (by local laws) published in many local papers .. perhaps landlords or house owners/hoarders are now the 'crows' or is it the other way around? do we have a right to own more than one residence ? maybe the crows don't think so ? or they just did not like their relative/friend catching fire ? whose right and whose wrong always a hard call depending on local rules of law ..?

I wonder if any squatters have taken up residence on your dwellings in the land of the Pampas?

Just for info about the devaluation of the usd

Since 1971 the following currencies :

Gbp , Norwegian and Swedish crowns, australien dollar , New zeland dollars and all the emerging currencies lost value ag the “devaluated “ dollar and if you meant ag gold , how much more those currencies have lost ag gold .

The only currencies to have gain since august 1971

Are Swiss franc , Japanese yen and Deutche mark or Euro today . And yes even those tree have lost ag Gold .

Now half empty or half full the glass .

I do believe that the usd is going to lose a lot ag gold in the future , but I do believe also than it s going to strength ag those currencies above for a little while . Because interest rate and strong employment market at least better that Europe and Japan .

china just bought about 58 billions of us government bonds . And Japan it s not selling is dollars for fears of default but to stop the yen from getting weak to fast , the third most reserve of us , the British are not selling at all , come the Swiss with more than 600 billions in their réserve not one sell order .

I believe it will take sometimes before the panic button is hit , and we will see the “prémices “ coming , hopefully.
