Laramie, Wyoming
Dear Reader,
When I got the invitation below from Diego at the Bonner family ranch, I asked if I could pass it on to BPR readers. He said yes. So consider yourself invited!
Both Tom and I have ordered these rich red wines from Argentina ourselves. We enjoy them immensely. And I know many of you have tried and enjoyed them too. As you’ll see below, the crew have come up with a way to reserve your Tacana at a special rate, so you can always get it when you want it, at a very good price.
Bonner Private Research doesn’t accept paid advertising from anyone. But we like Bill’s wine, especially with a good steak. And we do receive a small royalty when you purchase the wines from Gualfin through this link.
Enjoy!
Dan
Hi Daniel,
As we mark the 5th anniversary of our club, we stand at an intersection where our growing success meets the challenges of limited availability. The privilege of sharing Tacana - the infamous malbec from The Bonner Family ranch - as broadly as in the past now faces constraints, marking a poignant chapter in our shared journey.
Feedback has reached us from many who’ve missed out on securing Tacana at special rates, expressing regret over missed offers. Your loyalty, particularly from those among you who have journeyed with us for five years, is deeply valued. In response, we're introducing an exclusive Tacana subscription.
Consider it a gentleman’s agreement, reminiscent of the old days when a firm handshake and a look in the eyes sealed a promise. While such tokens of trust may seem rare today, it’s ours to you — a commitment to ensuring you always access the best prices for Tacana, in appreciation of your enduring support.
This initiative goes beyond simplifying purchase decisions; it’s a recognition of wine as a narrative to be deeply appreciated. By reserving this offer for you, we aim to prioritize those who truly understand the essence of each bottle.
Despite turning away bulk orders, including one from a notable restaurant in Texas, our dedication to you remains unshaken. Tacana is an experience, encapsulated in our mantra, "Rights of Admission Reserved."
Choosing this subscription not only brings Tacana to your doorstep but also strengthens our bond through our gentleman's agreement. While we maintain a first-come, first-served policy, we’re now also factoring in the length of your connection with us, acknowledging the role of antiquity in our growing community.
Simply click here to reserve your spot and save $50 on every shipment!
Your unwavering support over the course of this adventure is the bedrock of our operations and our passion. Thank you for being a pivotal part of our club’s narrative and for valuing the depth of wine as passionately as we do.
Warm regards,
Diego Samper
I have been long time subscriber to various Bill Bonner news letters over the years. After my husband's death, I continued our subscriptions. I loved Bill's writings about Argentina and the many "adventures" at the Ranch.
Over the years, always wanted to support and order the special wine but, for now, cannot as I am a resident citizen of Mexico. So ditto to Australia's comment for home delivery here in Mexico. That would be a cause celebre. One must, however, understand the legalities and/or complexities of Mexico to appreciate when it will eventually become a reality. I hope at my age I will see it in my lifetime!
Your Gentleman’s Agreement, "reminiscent of the old days when a firm handshake and a look in the eyes sealed a promise", was a reminder of what now are considered "old fashioned" principles. "While such tokens of trust may seem rare today", perhaps over the years we can hope this principle will be revived. You have my respect as I am certain your valued customers will appreciate as well. Welcome to this refreshing return to what matters. I applaud you, Daniel Samper, for this approach and to all of BPR. It is appreciated and meaningful. because of of stories passed along by my Father and Father-in-Law. They were committed to the Gentlemen's Agreement, partly influenced through their work in the oil fields in Venezuela and Mexico many, many years ago.
Now as an aside, a group of us drove from La Salta to Cafayate for a financial seminar presented by Doug Casey. The group stayed at the Estancia de Cafayate Boutique Hotel and toured the homes, etc. So enjoyed Tom Dyson's writing about he and his family's stay at Bill's Ranch and Cafayate. It was another pleasant memory. Thank you. Zilla Harman
Hi Dan,
Is it still unable to be delivered to Australia? We have good steaks too! 😁
