I think you’re right about most of this Bill but, do you have to sound so gleeful about it? It is, after all, the end of the great American republic.

I thought he sounded sadly resigned. However, I agree with your second sentence.

I think the use of the term “orange man” gave the impression he was having fun with it. Maybe that’s just me

Geez, Bill, your essay today stinks of hypocrisy! Let’s count the ways: First the red states redistricting creating a Republican benefit in Congress. What about Illinois, Massachusetts, and the all-time favorite, California? The Democrats have had a lock on stacking their voting districts to favor themselves for years. Now it’s a sin that warrants your condemnation. Sadly, this trend has only victims [the voters] and culprits [both parties]. Then you claim DJT tried to “control” elections. After the fraud in the 2020 election and the Democrats refusal to demand voter ID [gee I wonder why], the fed is the only means left to try to make our elections honest. But don’t worry, it will never get out of the Senate. Then you claim the dems will get even with the DJT fans because of DJT’s try to get even with his enemies. What in the h*** do you think the dems did to DJT after Sleepy Joe got elected. IMO, Trump should have spent the last two years locking up all the criminals that conspired against him. Then there may have been some deterrent to do this B.S. again. So, what will happen when the dems take over congress? First they will impeach DJT and many of his cabinet members. You will get your wish: DJT will not finish his second term. Then they will vote in D.C. and Puerto Rico as states and add 4 senators and God knows how many representatives to the house to pad their seat count. Lastly, they will spend whatever it takes to bastardize the election process so that every liberal voter, legal or not, will get counted at least once and every conservative voter will be challenged. Finally, Bill, you will see the USA so f***** up that even you will flee to Ireland, France or Argentina [maybe not there if Milei continues] to be able to avoid the mess you so verbally welcomed on us. Thanks, Bill, for your impartiality, worthless perspective, and totally valueless advice on our financial wellbeing.

You fail to consider the citizens in all of this. Like the Supreme Court ruling "no standing" for states that sued for fraud during the 2020 election.

How is it not in the interest of every citizen when one or more states have fraudulent elections?

When an enitre state, like California, is so corrupt that there can be no fair elections and the entire electoral vote goes to the Leftist candidate, that is a concern for all citizens.

How about the VA governor signing the ageement to nullify the Virginia election outcome by tying their electoral votes to the national popular vote? This agreement is a Leftist's dream. Now, they can commit fraud in just a few large cities and steal the entire nation.

Who is standing up against these actions?

The government fraud, and the Leftists' reaction to it, that has been uncovered during this past year should be enough to concern everyone.

They cannot be allowed to have power again. Take that statement however you like.

Bill I have come to the conclusion that you aren’t considering your reader’s comments or opinions. You are only listening to the left wing. We should have known when we knew you lived in France all those years that you could accept left wing BS .

Those endorsing gerrymandering are cheats and lairs.

Sacramento liberals succeeded gerrymandering the state in 2008, long before Texas.

Kim Jung Un would be proud!

-

There are more registered republicans in California than any other state.

-

Yet Sacramento has successfully gerrymandered the vote controlling over 80% of congressional seats for Democrats despite receiving only 60% of the vote.

-

Living here behind enemy lines in SoCal the conservative vote does not count for political appointments.

I will vote regardless, not to do so now would be to wave a white flag.

I just love a good conspiracy theory. I have been reading Bill for years now. In the past he was busy connecting dots, referencing Dan and Tom and measuring anything and everything in gold in a good faith effort to demonstrate the decline of the empire. However, this past year, or so, Bill has been besieged with TDS and the scope and sequence of his comments have moved away from dots and gold and toward the politics of destruction. Maybe Bill has been vacationing this past year and James Carville has been ghost writing? :😅

Bill, one thing you can count on: the decline of the degenerate empire will continue. Sadly!

The pendulum ALWAYS swings back to the other direction over time. The only question is how painful will that swing be? We are the same age and have seen this movie several times in our lives. Nothing is new under the sun!

Virginia gerrymander? Absolutely. For comparison, look at New England, w 27 House seats (CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME). Overall political registration is 45-38-17 for D-R-I. In 2024, Mr. T pulled >40% of votes cast. And yet... out of those 27 House seats, there's but one (1) Republican.

Only thing new Jim is to find the answer as to who is really writing this crap for BB. This is not the same author I signed on to read years ago!

I think trump devotion syndrome might be worse than the other one at this point…
