Hi Bill and Elizabeth. I wish you and your family great holidays. Yes time does fly indeed, to quickly. I have 3 grandchildren in different states and I find that's it's okay as I travel back and forth. I miss my children when they were small and like Elizabeth I get misty eyes when I hear the beautiful songs that take us back in time! Thank you for not leaving us Bill and for keeping us posted with your writings in which I look forward to everyday. Merry Christmas!

Dear Bill,

Good to hear from you and Elizabeth in Ireland. I'm at the end of a long, full life but waiting for the denouement of the US "democracy" experiment is enough to keep me alive even though I can't play tennis anymore.

Chilly, grey and rainy in Seattle. Typical winter weather. The birds, lilac bush, and I will now start tracking the sun. It's fun watching the plants following the course of the sunlight while idiot humans watch the Dow average.

As ever,

Ellen Oliver

Bill & Elizabeth, Glad to see "Reports of your demise were premature". I always liked that phrase.

My mom was from Hungary. I went back to visit with her in the late 1970s. My cousin took us to a cathedral and the organ tech in the balcony there said that Franz Liszt stood right over "there" and conducted the music for the cathedral dedication...

In the US when a building is no longer useful we tear it down and build something new. Not much history, for the most part.

My dad said that after forty the tens go by pretty quickly... I believe he was right!

Keep up the good work!
