Is there any other kind of "Right" beside the "Far Right"? One wouldn't think so looking at mainstream "media" on an international basis, and even some obscure Substack authors embrace these mild deceptions. So many otherwise intelligent commenters "fall" right into the trap created by using not-so-subtly incorrect words and mislabels. The oft-repeated intentional mistake of calling the Democrat Party the Democratic Party is a perfect example. "Democratic" sounds good to most Civically-ignorant or otherwise apathetic Americans, but today's left have proven they are anything except "democratic."

It is typically a small farce, but the cornucopia of dishonesty in pursuit of propaganda has a cumulative effect.

"Words Matter", said Mr. Limbaugh - repeatedly. And he was right.

Sigh. It's all so very tiresome...

These days, anyone who believes we should strictly adhere to the Constitution is considered "far right".

Very tiresome, indeed.

The Le Pen family had to work at being far right. Somehow I've managed to move from pretty much center-of-the-road to far right without moving at all. Go figure.

Agreed. If JFK was alive today he would be despised by the Dems as a NeoCon. The Dem party is now to the left of Stalin and Mao.

By Bonner's description Le Pen is not "far-right". He's a leftist thug. Socialism, communism, collectivism, statism, fascism et al are manifestations of the same thing: might makes "right", and everything else, especially individual rights, are subject to the whims and aims of the state. The true "far-right" individual is an anti-government, free-market anarchist. That's not Le Pen, again by Bonner's description, any more than Nancy Pelosi's Daddy, Thomas D'Alesandro, Jr., boss of Baltimore's "Little Italy" was. Best always. PM

Le Pen's comments about the holocaust are accurate. Indeed, perportedly it didn't exist until the west and the soviets liberated the camps. The war was not about the jews. Hitler used them as one tool of hate along with many tools. While not a cause or footnote of WWII, It remains one of many blemishes on human history.

I'm with you up to the "free-market anarchist" part. You are correct in that these people do exist, but as Ayn Rand (your favorite author - okay that's a joke because I know you're not a fan) pointed out, anarchism and free markets are not compatible. Anarchy just degenerates into competing factions which perform the function of the government - protecting individual rights. Well, some of the factions do, other factions are the aggressors. I've gone into detail on this in another post, so I won't here.

Some Ayn Rand is better than no Ayn Rand. She's a lot more right than wrong. I just want her to stop with the baseball bat...

It's important that we understand distinctions, because we can be misled otherwise. Imagine that; somebody might want to gain advantage by misleading!

Truth is, I know nothing of Le Pen, which is why I kept qualifying my observations with "per Bonner's description". He (Le Pen) sounds like a real charmer, though. Best always. PM

I wasn't advocating anarchy; I was merely trying to explain how far right "far-right" is. Best always. PM

Sometimes I wonder why Ol' Bill keeps trying to show the light. Has to be frustrating when there are so many deniers flooding the Comments. Reality is a harsh master and soon as the financial chaos engulfs the U.S. and the world you'll wonder - "what happened?" Biden was never in charge and never made a decision. Trump Administration 1 was a disaster with almost $7T in debt added. Donald T is a spender of the First Magnitude. Bullying our allies and threatening sanctions isn't how to change America's future or lead the World. The BRICS are growing and for only one reason - the U.S. Hegemony and they are going to destroy it. Deny, Deny, Deny - all you want but won't change the path ahead. So sad........where is Eisenhower when we need him.

The rapid growth of BRICS is Trump's fault? Ol' Man - you need to backup and reassess the actions of TraitorJoe and his merry band of degenerates.

Top two on the list of prodding an accelerating BRICS? The completely incompetent "withdrawal" from Afghanistan and the moronic "sanctions" against Russia. Ol' Joey proved that under dimocrat "leadership" America as a nation is both an inept, bumbling entity and a blatant, unrepentant THIEF...

Bill:

As I hoped you would mellow a little in 2025, you are beginning with your BS rhetoric. Trump is nothing like Lê Pen. Biden has been a very ineffective president and has lowered our stand in the world to a climate change government. As a world leader country we reached bottom. Trump ‘speaks loudly’ but carries out his agenda intelligently. Words are just words; his actions will be applied more to the need of our country. He needs to change the way the Panama Canal is run and he is discussing a better arrangement with Canada and Greenland. If not you better start learning mandarin or Cantonese.

Are you kidding me?

We are already in "Financial Chaos". No one in the Federal Government will admit it.

The only thing real is that they continue to tax & spend and borrow & spend into oblivion.

Our childrens' children and more will say that we were the dumbest people on the planet ever.

The experts were fiddling while America burned!

It's hopeless!

With much respect to your “it’s all hopeless” comment, which I certainly understand especially after what we’ve seen so far this century, IMHO I cannot throw in the towel yet (maybe never).

A brief background of where I’m coming from, my family has fought in every war this country has been in, including the revolutionary war. I’m an American, and through thick & thin, the USA always manages to pull it out. Personally I’d like to see the new administration for a couple years before I consider the US toast. Investing wise, I’ve been activist investing since 1975 and world markets & economies do have a tendency to surprise us once in a while.

I don’t expect to change minds here, just that there’s some of us that think the US succeeds in getting to the other side of the debtor nation swamp.

All the best to you, your family & all the great comments!

Another Bonner column - like a blindfolded man wandering aimlessly through the park. Once in a while he bumps into something, feels around, and can determine what it is. Most of the time, he has no idea where he is going like someone stringing loose ideas together hoping they all fit in the end. Usually, they don't as he winds up in a ditch.

Whatever happened to isolationism? The day is near when we can no longer be the worlds policeman. The ramifications of that are so broad that I cannot begin to contemplate the matter. We are broke but the money printing goes on. When we can no longer police the world who will? Looks like we will have to police ourselves and forget about the rest. Tell me the world isn't getting more dangerous every day.

For your consideration : Canada's water-bombers have been flying for days over Los Angeles.

The USA is mostly ''policing'' the world for the benefits of its so-called elite. Just like the old European empires were doing. Concerning Panama, Greenland and Canada (my country), I wish that we collaborate and develop a strategy that will put the USA in its right place. In his own backyard were a load of problems await.

I have to agree on one point, Trump is the only possible candidate to usher in the beginning of the end. When the ink is dry on the partitioning plan for Israel aka the Two State (final solution) WW2 will be looked up as a small skirmish.

Damascus is on the way to destruction, Trump will be thinning Israel with the nations approval. Finally peace in the Middle East (as if that was at all possible).

“A prophetic pronouncement and timely declaration regarding the removal of the tremendous burden of (masa’) Damascus (Drameseq). Behold (hineh), Damascus (Drameseq) is revolting and corrupt, degenerate and unrestrained, and will be removed from among inhabited cities (suwr min ‘iyr). It will actually become (wa hayah) a twisted and tangled heap (ma’iy) 559of collapsed structures, fallen buildings, and rubble (mapalah). (Yasha’yah 17:1)

Abandoned and damned, destroyed and deserted, will be (‘azab) the inhabited and terrorized regions of anguished cities filled with disgusting religious temples and shrines as well as wrathful donkeys (‘iyr) of ‘Arow’er | the Repudiated Outcasts and repugnant refugees of the Arnon Valley in Ammon, Jordan (‘arow’er).

For there will be (la hayah) roaming animals fighting in militant militias along with their Helpers (‘adar). But (wa) they will cease and prostrate themselves (rabats), because there will be no one left to terrorize (wa ‘ayn charad). (Yasha’yah 17:2)

So the fortified city and defensive structures (wa mibtsa’r) will cease to exist (shabath) as a result of (min) ‘Ephraym | Israel (‘Ephraym), along with the government (wa mamlakah) out of (min) Damascus (Drameseq), including (wa) the residue left (sa’ar) of ‘Aram | Syria, including some of military influence over Iran, Iraq, and Jordan (‘Aram) for being similarly (ka) vehement and burdensome, fanatical, and dimwitted (kabowd).

The children (beny) of Yisra’el | Individuals who Engage and Endure with God (Yisra’el) will actually continue to exist (hayah), prophetically declares (na’um) Yahowah (Yahowah) of the vast array of spiritual messengers and envoys (tsaba’). (Yasha’yah 17:3)

And it will actually transpire (wa hayah) in that day (ba ha yowm) that the size (ha huw’ kabowd) of Ya’aqob | Israel (Ya’aqob) will be decreased to the point of no longer being sustainable or viable (dalal). The fattest, best protected, and most important place at the midsection (wa mashman) of his physical existence (huw’ basar) will be leaned and wastefully sacrificed as part of the sickening agenda of world leaders (razah). (Yasha’yah 17:4)
