I was apparently raised by radicals back in the 1950s. They taught me to take personal responsibility for myself and never take handouts. If only I had known that all my troubles could be solved by government...
It is the ultimate irony that MAGA rages against “the Commies” while seizing increasing ownership in the means of production while attacking the rule of law and undermining the balance of powers. I can’t wait to see how their successors from the far left will do in following their lead in killing off free markets and Democratic institutions. Go ‘murica!
Well Steve you are not wrong. But this surge in socialism can be traced back to 1971 when gold i.e. real money was severed from the dollar. This provided the generational and perennial fools in Congress to spend freely for the last 55 years bringing us to 40 trillion in debt with 127 trillion ( gov, state, mancipalities) in unfunded liabilities. Inflation is on the move and about to go parabolic. Those citizens who are Gen z and Gen alpha have been immersed in inflation but not understanding its impact on their economic development. All they know is that they have done what they were told to do and yet they can't afford to live their lives. This has led to Democratic Socialist seeking power under the guise of solving the struggling Zs and Alphas economic shortfalls. Our leaders have been short sighted and long on spending, and now some, maybe more than some, are grasping at the power derived from the false hope of socialism; there is no turning back as this is nature of the seeds of socialism.
Socialism = entitled youth in my opinion. Who's fault is it their parents? My son who is an attorney who has his own lawfirm had been successfully practicing law for about 13 years and has 6 other attorneys working at his firm. He recently spoke to an L1 class of inspiring law students about becoming attorneys running your own law firm and being successful. He advocated getting experience at a law firm in the summer months to further gain knowledge of how the legal system worked. Several students asked how much do you pay to law students for summer work. His answer was $0. They were agasted and said well I have bills to pay and I have to live. His answer was you have no experience in practicing law if I'm willing to spend my time teaching you what I due as a successful attorney, expoosing you to the different facets of law its you that should be paying me. His other recommendation was for them to get a 2nd job waiting tables or bar tendingat night to make money. Way too many children today have been told you can be whatever you want to be. What is Leno said is what it's going to take to be whatever you want to be. Being good at you profession and successful at any career doesn't come from osmosis. It's time the kids today realize that realty and get off the entitled pedestal. I'm afraid that train has left the station. Certainly in France and here in the US too.
Yeah, working for $0.00 an hour while helping lawyers who bill $300 an hour was, is, and always will be a crime in my books. The legal profession is one of the last holdouts still perpetuating this kind of modern-day "slavery."
If these kids are smart, and don't want to perpetuate the same system, they'll change course now. Pursue something more meaningful and tangible, like bricklaying, carpentry, or becoming an electrician. Perhaps enough of them walking away would finally send a message to those still "in the system."
Skills that create real value. Skills that society will always need. And skills that may prove far more useful after the coming "reset."
Government ownership of companies has never worked out well. Sadly we are going to see another example of what doesn't work. We will all suffer in some way but those who have cash stored away and hard assets will suffer less that the majority of people. The whole western world is in the same general mess as far as I can see.
While I do see problems with govt involvement in companies, having a percentage of ownership in said companies with NO CONTROLLING AUTHORITY is not "siezing the means of production"
Now in the future, could this change? Of course it could, and that is the problem with any govt involvement
Seems to me that, as long as the human animals greed and ego needs transcend the common good there will have to be some method implemented to bring the ‘playing field’ into some reasonable leveling. What would that be?

Yep, personal accountability would solve a lot of problems.

And both sides allow the continuation of fake money, in spite of the clear need for metals as per the constitution.

Agreed!
Ai will likely eliminate paralegals.
Or perhaps paralegals with Ai might eliminate costly attorneys.
But the bricklayer, well... he too might be replaced by automated robots.
-
In the Ai era there will still be demand for skilled professions.
But most likely all professions be handicapped by tech advancements.
-
A plumber today requires an endoscope to detect leaks.
A dentist must know how to use additive technology to produce custom teeth.
Even a garbageman uses technology to pick-up the correct bins and cameras to police the patrons disposing of articles in the improper bins.
-
Real fundamental skills of hunting, preparing foods and survival are also relying more on tech, with GPS, nigh vision, long range scopes,
-
If something big goes wrong.
The consumer food chain and electricity will be one of the first things to go.
If this occurs in my lifetime.
I certainly won't be asking my attorney to how cook my neighbors dog..
Very true.

Do you really think the arrogant and hubris politicians will not seize power in the companies they have invested the people's money in? PLEZZ
