If the pattern of history holds up, people will go along with almost any public fraud as long as the system appears to be working. But then, when the system runs out of money, more muscle is needed.
Why choose either? The lessor of two evils is still evil. Why not join the Vote for Nobody movement? Nobody cares about you! Nobody will end the interminable wars! Nobody will actually investigate the Epstein blackmail operation to determine who was behind it and which politicians/elites gave been compromised! Nobody will balance the budget!
A presidential election is a binary choice whether you like it or not. You're free to sit on your hands and allow others to choose for you, but you can't have "nobody".
It's no different than having a choice between two plates of food, and those two plates are your ONLY choice. You're going to be force-fed one or the other regardless of how much you don't want either one.
One plate contains boiled turnips and the other plate contains cow 💩 with a dog 💩 topping. You pick or someone else will pick for you.
Any rational person will pick the turnips, or in other words---the lesser of two evils.
But what if we paraphrase that RFK quote of some men dream of things that never were and say why not? Why not take the position that if no one voted they would have to change the system.
How about we equate it to the choice between Pepsi and Coke? I'll just drink water.
Why not?? Because some things are just that--a dream.
Taking the position that if no one voted they would have to change the system leaves farce behind and enters the realm of insanity. It just ain't going to happen.
Look, I'm not suggesting that NOT VOTING is always irrational. If a person truly believes that there's no difference in the binary choice, then staying home and doing something productive is a rational thing to do.
Conversely, if a person believes that one choice, no matter how bad, is better than the alternative, then voting for the "lesser of two evils" is also a rational choice.
And when it came to the choice between a narcissistic, egomaniacal, buffoon with a few good policy positions, and an idiot leftist wackjob with no good policy positions, it wasn't irrational (or immoral) to vote for one over the other.
Maybe that's why good ol' George Washington was against political parties? Speaking of PepsiCo I just saw a university study analysing snack products that use avocado oil instead of seed oil. PepsiCo has recently purchased Siete and the Siete chips tested now contain seed oils.
That attitude is what allows the motivated socialist/communist crazies to take over. The motivated loons WILL vote. Your apathy is what the media loves. Remember how Hillary was a shoe in according to the polls......hoping that the poll numbers would dishearten Trump voters.
I'm not apathetic. In fact I'm extremely passionate that we are being led by a group of sociopathic grifters. Whether it's Dims or Repugs these guys have no problem starting wars, killing innocent people and wasting our tax dollars while the country deteriorates to third world status.
Excellent example- Trump starts a war with Iran to prevent them from acquiring nukes. Meanwhile his partner has over 200 nukes and also the Samson Option. Then Trump talks about his good relations with Kim and North Korea.
The difference between Kim and Iran is that Kim loves the rich LIFE. Meaning he wants to stay alive to enjoy his wealth. Meanwhile the religious fanatics in Iran are calling for death to the west and are willing to kill themselves and the entire planet to achieve their goals.
I haven't seen reports of Death to the West, just Death to America. I've read that this means "Death to the American Government" not the American people. Perhaps they have a right to say this? How would Americans feel if a foreign power overthrew our government and I stalled a brutal dictator? And later supplied military aid to country during its invasion of the US? And then during peace negotiations bombed a school here and killed over 160 kids? Just remember that great Joe South song "Walk a mile in my shoes".
As far as the desire to destroy the entire world Israel has the Samson Option in which if Israel believes they are going down they will put Steppenwolf on the record player and "Fire all their guns at once".
This is a quote from an Israeli military historian: We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets for our air force. Let me quote General Moshe Dayan: 'Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother.
Looks like the Zionist may be just as crazy as the mullahs.
Actually I've read that LBJ accused Nixon of treason for the Chennault Affair in which he sabotaged Johnson's peace talks by promising a better deal for South Vietnam if he were elected.
Sorry Patrick! The Chenault Affair involved Anna Chenault. I only mentioned the Chenault Affair not the name of the participants. So where was I wrong? Didn't LBJ believe Nixon sabotaged the peace talks?
One has to wonder if God is looking at this world wondering, “when are these fools going to learn from the same mistakes made century after century by every major empire?”. The patterns are so obvious, but the seven deadly sins continue to hold the stronger hand.
Trapped by the human condition. It is who we are. We do not learn from the long and infamous history of mankind. However, it has always been my contention that if mankind adhered to the dictates of the world's great religions the human condition could be managed, but that requires great dedication and great discipline. However, paradoxically the very dedication and discipline necessay to escape the effects of human condition are antithetical, or maybe just unnatural to nature of the human condition. So here we are again replaying the same historical record over and over again ad nauseam.
We CAN learn from history, but the drive to learn in most cases succumbs to the even larger drive: innate human vanity of denial. "This will happen to others, but not to me. I'm special." Best always. PM

LOL! You could apply this to the daycare and Samali fraud in Minnesota, the California shenanigans, voting frauds, the entire covid fiasco and Fauci, etc. etc., but no, it always comes back to Trump in these writings.
Just remember that Donald Trump gave Fauci an award for his service during the Scamdemic and is still touting the Warped Speed experimental mRNA vaccines that were neither safe nor effective. In fact, Trump's FDA just approved Moderna's new mRNA flu shot. Take at your own risk!
You just did the same thing. You took my comment and honed in on a way to tie it to Trump. Its irrelevant. The point is there's rot and corruption everywhere from all parties.
You mentioned it comes back to Trump in these writings. I just wanted to emphasis the fact that Trump was a supporter of Fauci. How many times have we heard "Lock Fauci up" from the MAGA fanboys despite the fact that Trump is partially responsible for Fauci's actions.
I'm just presenting a fact before leaving office Trump gave Fauci an award for service during the Scamdemic. If a lowly working class miscreant knew that COVID was a scam and that the Warped Speed experimental mRNA vaccine was dangerous, why didn't the self-proclaimed stable genius know it?
I detest Gates and Obama too but Trump has met with Gates several times since his second election. Plus here's a little something: : "Trump could not hand down a termination notice himself, but he could have pressured Fauci’s direct bosses—such as National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Dr. Francis Collins or Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar—to fire him".
Excuses, excuses. "Somebody done hoodooed the hoodoo man" (Junior Wells)? Say it ain't so. There were several scientists and doctors who opposed Fauci's COVID strategy and also stated that the Warped Speed experimental mRNA vaccines were ineffective and dangerous. Why didn't the Stable Genius listen to them? Why didn't he know that Fauci was a fraud as evidenced by his copious use of 5th?
Cartero, you got the right! The ol' TACO is never at fault. It is always someone else. Of course, he is always right. If not it is somebody else's fault. Just what happens when the empire falls. And, now anyone that does agree with him is a traitor. He is almighty and never wrong. Even those that bow down to him will have their heads on the "Guillotine" one day when he needs someone else to blame. Is he sane? - does he have a plan for anything? - does he care about us peons? He is just a vain empire who has no clothes!
Question? If Cell Phones, Computers, the Internet, and now "AI", has made our nation so productive and efficient, how come we are 40, (and growing) trillion in debt? I thought increased productivity paid the bills.
I always find it interesting - leftists do not personally know a Trump supporter so they make all sorts of ridiculous generalizations. They exist in a feedback bubble. That is you, Bill. The true cultists are the far left socialists and communists. They have no critical thinking skills and will defend their brainwashing as if it is gospel with no actual facts to back up their positions. I am not a fan of Trump's actions recently, but all you have is low IQ, corrupt Dems like Schumer, Jeffries and AOC.
Mr. Weeks, So true. There are 265M adult U.S. citizens, yet to Bill, the 30M who are diehard Trump supporters are suddenly responsible for all the problems in the U.S. And Bill doesn't explain why this is so. Your most prescient missive might explain that I mistakenly signed up for another year of Bonner. Drop an "n" from the moniker and it explains why you were silent during prior administrations that were accelerating the destruction of our US republic.
I have read a few times than a empire lasts on average 250 years. I think we (the USA) are living on borrowed time. The last five empires have followed the pattern. Portugal 1480-1530. Spain 1530 - 1640. Netherlands 1540 - 1720. France 1720 - 1850. Britain 1815 - 1920. USA After WW 1.....TBD!
The British Empire existed well before 1815. Strictly speaking, you can date the British Empire from 1707, when the Acts of Union joined Scotland and England to create Great Britain (sorry Wales, but you’d already been incorporated into the English state).
By then England already had a substantial overseas empire, with colonies and trading interests across North America, the Caribbean, West Africa and India through the East India Company.
After 1707, Scots gained access to the English imperial trading system and threw themselves into it with extraordinary enthusiasm. The result was a global power wildly disproportionate to Britain’s population and physical size.
I’d also dispute 1920 as an end date. If anything, the British Empire was around its greatest territorial extent just after the First World War. In the Second World War, forces and resources came from across the Empire and Commonwealth: India, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Africa, the Caribbean and elsewhere.
The decisive decline came after 1945, particularly with Indian and Pakistani independence in 1947, followed by rapid decolonisation through the 1950s and 1960s.
You can argue about the final date, but 1997 and the handover of Hong Kong is as good a symbolic endpoint as any. That was arguably when the sun finally set on the British Empire
Then there's the scene in "Victor, Victoria" (Blake Edwards 1982) where the waiter, standing in the midst of a brawl in a restaurant, suddenly recalls the Julie Andrews character from an earlier job where she tried to finagle a free dinner by planting a cockroach, and starts bellowing "Cockroach! The problem with those inflicted with TDS is they cannot understand folks have no choice!
It was the lessor of two evils.
Those that were forced to into a binary choice are not any more loyal to Trump than Biden.
Biden's administration is guilty of treason.
Trump, despite all his imperfections is not guilty of treason.

Great analogy Cartero... it got me thinking...
-
Coke and Pepsi's primary ingredient is water.
Coke has a pinch more vanilla, Pepsi has a granule more sugar.
Some say Coke is more carbonated, others swear Pepsi is frothier.
They both have the same amount of Co2.
-
Coke (1886) and Pepsi (1893) are historical rivals.
Although Coke outsells Pepsi.
Pepsi' brand offers more alternative snacks.
-
Both have consecrated and devoted tribal followings.
Each swear by their brand.
Each tribe adamantly certain theirs is better.
Though they are basically the same toxic elixir.
-
The majority of folks would not be able to identify which is which...
Unless they look at the bottle.

You sure showed me!
It's that kind of insightful name calling that makes you special!

However...perhaps you should review your reading comprehension skills.
As the original comment makes it clear: it's a binary choice.
Neither candidate is qualified.
Your just upset because your team chose even a worse candidate.

Politico's now have to attract the lowest common denominator IQ voter.
Because liberals insist EVERYONE should vote!
And then proceed to toss in the mail, tens of millions of UNSOLICITED ballots strewn willy nilly across the country.
What could possibly go wrong?
