"And why is the US president meddling in Brazil’s internal affairs?"

Trump, like every other POTUS, meddles where his handlers instruct him to meddle.

Absolutely, Kevin; however, in the current situation it appears he mettles here, there, everywhere as well. Just loves the limelight. Social media - yep! Signing Executive Orders - yep! Going off the rails ordering the World to and fro - yep! What do I need to do today so everyone looks at me? I am a delusional narcissist and the light must be shining on me. While I voted for the TACO Clown - today I just shake my head. And, this is the President of the United States? Really?

There is an alternative here. It's not predestined that we run the deficit to $60 trillion, but if we keep doing what we have been doing, it is foreordained. What's the alternative? Stop spending! Start dismantling government. Every time I hear some government hack, elected or otherwise, start complaining about needing more revenue for such and such a project, I think immediately, "Or you can advocate for less government." Somehow, that never happens. We always have to pay more, and when we can't or don't, the government spends anyway and borrows. The premise, it seems, is that anything and everything is possible except less government. The old saw, the two permanent things in life, death and taxes should be amended for the sake of truth: death THROUGH taxes, and then, not taxes (symptom) but government (cause). Best always. PM

Brilliant Bill, knows about a time, not long ago, when the United States was the oracle of innovation, the shining temple of human potential, where ideas outpaced bullets and progress outmaneuvered power. But now, here we are, with a Department of Education hanging by a thread like a used necktie at a liquidation sale, gutted to make room for culture wars and conspiracy-fueled carnival barking. Our universities, once the cathedrals of human capital, are being dismantled in favor of ideological indoctrination and medieval superstition. How do you grow a GDP when your national policy is to bulldoze the very engine of innovation, education, and then fire the scientists for being “too smart”?

And if that weren’t enough to send Keynes himself into a graveyard spin, we now witness President Trump waging open war against Sir Elon Musk, a man whose mind may very well be the last functioning supercomputer on the continent. Outcasting Musk from the economic conversation is like firing Einstein before he finished splitting the atom, or telling Edison to take his lightbulb and shove it in the dark. We’re watching America exile its last hope for technological leadership because the man tweets strange things and dares to build reusable rockets. What’s next? Tariffs on genius? Sanctions against curiosity?

While the BRICS consolidate their monetary muscle and the dollar quivers beneath $37 trillion in IOUs and a fiscal trajectory straight to the Mariana Trench, Trump plays monetary chicken with half the globe. The only thing more unstable than the debt ceiling is his trade diplomacy, which now consists of shaking down sovereign nations like a Times Square hustler playing three-card monte with global reserve currencies. Meanwhile, Deloitte pegs our GDP growth at 1.4%, meaning we’re jogging while the debt’s on a bullet train. This isn’t just fiscal mismanagement — this is financial Armageddon in a red hat.

But don’t worry, echoing Brilliant Bill, yes, history’s watching. And as America slips on its own banana peels, wanders into the economic abyss wearing clown shoes, and calls it greatness, the rest of the world will simply build, think, and invent while we’re busy lighting the books on fire and demanding tariffs on reality itself.

More bs Bill! Biden and his handlers are responsible for most of the damage America is facing. Do you honestly believe that we needed 20 million illegals to overwhelm our economy and country to fill a few dishwasher and landscaping jobs? We all know that is just more bs, especially since you have been preaching how our economy is shrinking for the last decade. So stop the bs and focus on what we pay you for, whatever that is🤔 maybe even look into good stocks that are starting to move and give your dear readers hope instead of bs! You may want to research METC, for example…or maybe even a few good cryptos like AVAX, SOL or SUI. If you invested back in 2019 when I started talking about them, you would be very comfortable today. 😊

Trump has more than one screw loose. Why would he ever mettle in the internal affairs of country after country with the latest being Brazil? Where does he get off thinking he can "order" the World around? Just more and more narcissist BS? How does that help us peons/minions in middle America? Watching this Clown act - is like watching Mel Brooks on steroids. Frankly, Ol' Bill probably edits each piece extensively to tone it down, down, down! We should all applaud Bill for his ability to keep it under control. As always......just another opinion floating in the breeze.

You are so right. How can Americans forget the incredible mind-blowing prosperity under the Biden Administration! And no new wars as a bonus! And all those immigrants pouring over the border to fill up the empty hotel rooms in NYC bringing prosperity to us Americans. And 57 genders to boot! Terrific. And now we have to contend with a deranged President Trump who actually thinks there are only 2 genders! What an idiot. He also believes we have to produce things in this country in order to be viable and safe in a very dangerous world - you know like produce our own pharmaceuticals, steel, integrated circuits which are used in all sorts of products and military equipment so we can defend ourselves, as well as produce many other products in the USA. He doesn't believe the USA can be successful as a country of waiters, lawyers, and social workers. How insane is that? And he absurdly believes that we must increase production of energy (oil, gas, nuclear, etc.) because human life requires energy to flourish and prosper. What a nut job! And to think we could have had Kamala!

Why is it all you Trump Adorers can do is reflex back on Biden. Biden is history - and he wasn't there the vast majority of the time. But - that being said - does not allow Trump to be dumber than a box of rocks. Trump - the draft dodger, Trump the Peace President with war after war, Trump the American 1st who can't stop trying to order the world around, Trump the budget balancer that besides the $6+T in 45 now is over $2.2T in his Year no. 1. And, he has no chance of bring back manufacturing to the U.S. Who in his right mind would ever make the investment in America when Trump has no stable policies at all. You can Hope and Want and Pray to Trump On High - but, it isn't going to stop him from destroying America. As always just an Ol' Man looking reality in the Eye.

Other than that, you have not been paying attention as Trump has announced many deals to bring manufacturing and investment in America back. So, like Bonner, you just make things up that suit your argument. We need to bring manufacturing back to America or we are dead as a country in the long run because this world has countries run by dictators who would take advantage of us if we don't. Whether it is Trump doing it or some future president, I don't care, but it better be done or we will be subject to rule by the Chinese or Russians or both.

Pretty sure Trump inherited war in Ukraine & war between Israel and Palestine.

There is now a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine.

Through Trump’s diplomacy a 30yr war between Rwanda and Congo is over. (Which no one was talking about)

Although Israel with the US blew up Iran’s nuclear capabilities, there is now a ceasefire there as well.

The Russia/Ukraine war is a sticky wicket admittedly, but I’d say he absolutely has been striving for Peace and generally succeeding.

Bill: while I agree some of what you have said I disagree on a few of your points. I agree that Trump ‘MAY’ not know what he is doing. Although everything done in the past has not worked.

We should avoid interfering in other countries business. Using our economy as blackmail is not good for public relations. Actually it may backfire. Ifm things don’t change e’re going into meltdown anyways. Why not try something new.

What would happen if no country gave credit to the U.S. I believe the dollar would end up at zero. Another form of money to be used for exchange of goods. What? Crypto ? A different money from the IMF?

As far as masking the ICE agents, these criminal elements would go after their families; this is for their protection. You know what the cartels can do. Also, no one complained when the Black Lives Matter and Antifa wore masks. You still continue with the TDS B.S.

Isn't it hypocritical of Trump do interfere in judicial processes in Brazil and Israel at the same time his administration is closing the Epstein case with no real investigation. "Cash" Patel and Bondi say there is no list but Ryan Dawson published a list derived from his investigation that includes a lot of important people and accusations of a foreign government's involvement in the blackmail operation. If Harris had been elected and her Attorney General said there was no list, nothing to see here, it was just Epstein and Maxwell diddling with young girls, wouldn't the MAGA fanboys be up in arms?

Why is it that BB and the left:

1) want to relate all debt and deficit deficiencies to Trump and

2) Insist that everything he does is stupid?

His tariffs seem disoriented but haven’t destroyed the world yet. In fact many of his strategies seem to be working.

Everything bad that was supposed to happen already hasn’t. (Even a broken clock is right twice a day?)

As I recall, not ONE democrat voted to decrease the size of government, not ONE democrat voted to reduce ANY government spending including stoping Medicaid to illegal immigrants. And not ONE SINGLE democrat stood up to root for a young man (and a young Black man at that) who is fighting a terrible battle with cancer. Not ONE.

The Left has lost their moral and intellectual compass.

We should all just thank God we don’t have 4 more years of Biden/Harris.

I have to admit Bill that it does appear that Trump and his Administration seem to be going down the same path as the many Republicans and Democrats that preceded them albeit with some interesting if not desperate gambits. Our reality (and Trump's as President) is one defined by constraints at this point and I'm sure that this rubs Trump the wrong way. Whether the Brazil nonsense is denial, distraction or a sincere attempt to wave people off of doing damage to the US dollar only the few know.

The one certainty we have in front of us is that the US Dollar will continue to lose purchasing power, likely at an accelerating pace, and it is only us that can change that trajectory... through a return to sound money (cue hostile screaming of our mostly Keynesian economist herd).

Lacy Hunt among others argue and offer analysis showing that every dollar of federal spending at this point has a negative impact on GDP, that federal debt is crowding out private and that it is the magnitude of the debt itself which presents an impediment to growth of the private sector. The crack-up-boom stalks and will ultimately deliver an economic lesson to all of us-- some may be better prepared than others to sustain themselves during this event-- whatever form it might take. It is ironic that it is our debt that constrains us, and has for some time now, from growing our economy. Happy Days are here again... as in the partying that preceded the last Great Depression.
