Hmmmm. Weeds of that variety grow in LOTS of places other than Harvard, yet they are almost always watered and fertilized by leftist "thinking" and "ideology." It's not the Right (generally) that is constantly dictating behavior and demanding how everyone else live - nor is it the Right that resorts to violence when they don't get their way.* Basic and Pertinent Facts, but apparently invisible to 20%+ of our population.

It seems as though Donald Trump and Bill Bonner have one large thing in common - each has a rock-solid group of die-hard supporters for whom their "Dear Leader" can do no wrong - no matter what.

Sagely or Stupidly, I don't count myself in either camp - but I can plainly see who is rooting for America to win, and who is rooting for America to, at the least, not win.

PS - "𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘱–𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘦–𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦 (𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘰𝘴) 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘴…𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘯."

Thank you, Dan, for a Ray of Rationality and the Humbleness of a man who knows there are things he doesn't know.

I've been waiting my whole life for something, anything, to begin tearing down the corrupt, rigged, criminal, degenerate and despicable status quo my forebears allowed to slither into controlling most places that matter. Hopefully this wrecking ball damage will begin to spread and impact ALL the areas we need to demolish and rebuild - maybe even some we didn't yet realize were harming us.

Be careful what you wish for? Perhaps - but if you care 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 about Freedom, Liberty, your Children and the Future, to meekly accept continuing on the path we were staggering down is neither a virtuous nor viable alternative...

The genocide in the Middle East by Israel/U.S. continues unabated and is apparently ramping up again - how does Trump continue to support that? What happened to the Peace President? WONDERING what you call a genocide? Last I checked it was the systematic extinguishing of a culture, you know like the Jews in the 40's. IF this was a genocide in Gaza why are they arguing over where the nearly 2MM local Arabs (Palestine never existed, no I am not a jew)will be relocated? Why are they moving 1.5 MM of them from the south to the north? Genocide? I don't think so, retaliation, absolutely. But then again, when 9/11 occurred we did the same only worst - we indiscriminately bombed Afghanistan, then went back into Iraq blaming Saddam. So...get your facts straight, bottom line, had those radical Arabs not infiltrated and killed babies, burned people alive and rape and tortured not only Israelis but Americas as well - had they chosen to live and let live they would not be in this position. You poke the bear, you get what's coming.

Regarding Navarro and tariffs, you sound like another looney leftist, experts at half truths sized to fit an agenda. It takes only a little research to discover Navarro is referring to the fact that Chinese goods were being shipped through Vietnamese ports thereby avoiding tariffs. That door just slammed shut. Not important enough to mention?

Expand full comment
StarboardEdge's avatar

Truth - and more than just the Shipping part. There was a documentary several years ago that VERIFIED the tags in most Chinese-produced textiles and clothing were printed with "Made in Vietnam" or "Made in Malaysia" labels, explicitly to avoid the US tariffs.

Straight-up FRAUD - but what else do you expect from communists and dimocrats?

Expand full comment
Tom Tiede's avatar

Right on….the ports and older history of two communist countries in bed together to work their ploy.….Something that Bill seems to avoid mentioning and rather, he chooses labeling stupidity on Navarro.…

according to ChatGP...

“Yes, there have been documented cases of Chinese companies trying to avoid U.S. tariffs by funneling their products through Vietnam. This usually involves shipping goods from China to Vietnam, where they are either lightly processed or simply relabeled as “Made in Vietnam” before being exported to the United States.

Vietnamese authorities have acknowledged the issue and have cracked down on these practices, especially after the U.S. began imposing tariffs on a wide range of Chinese goods during the U.S.-China trade war. The U.S. has also investigated and penalized companies that were caught participating in this kind of tariff evasion.

So while this isn’t a state-sanctioned funneling operation, there have been cases where companies used Vietnam as a workaround to avoid tariffs. Both Vietnam and the U.S. have been trying to clamp down on these fraudulent rerouting efforts.”

So the Vietnam “funnel like “ operation avoids tariffs and likely explains Narvarro’s concern about getting Vietnam to stop tariff restrictions on us, and his reluctance to remove them against Vietnam until they stop playing their dodge ball game with us…..Navarro is not going to be snookered by China trading partners and he should get a commendation from Bill….but instead gets the Harvard grad stupider than hell award as does his boss the Wharton grad……

Please, once and for all, wouldn't it be nice to hear Bill tell something about the geo- politico environment that wasn't purposely slanted. He could start with rigorous questioning, winnowing and sifting, and avoid the value judgements, and let us decide…..kudos to Dyson/Dennings for both the former and ultimately the latter….

TOP SECRET - EYES ONLY

UNAUTHORIZED RELEASE — CLASSIFIED PENTAGON ARCHIVE

DOC ID: TRMP-∞ / LEVEL OMEGA CLEARANCE REQUIRED

SUBJECT: PHENOMENON DESIGNATE “45” — DOMINION PROTOCOL

SUMMARY:

Despite multiple containment attempts—legal, electoral, psychological—Subject 45 remains untouchable. He does not operate within the boundaries of law, morality, or fact. He transcends them. He does not “win” in the conventional sense. He absorbs opposition, metabolizes outrage, and converts shame into strength.

Field reports confirm: He cannot be impeached, censored, silenced, or outvoted. Each effort to dismantle him has only amplified his broadcast signal.

China fears his unpredictability but mimics his model.

Europe sneers in public and imitates in private.

California screams the loudest—yet remains addicted to the show.

INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING:

Subject 45 now functions as a living algorithm of dominance.

He speaks and counties kneel.

Facts detonate on impact. Courts dissolve.

He is not bound by truth—truth is bound by Him.

Every indictment has become scripture.

Every accusation, a sacrament.

Attempts to shame Him have created a fervent class immune to shame—known internally as “The Red Choir.”

Reality itself fractures in His presence.

Historians beg for correction.

He edits time.

RECOMMENDATION:

• Cease direct engagement.

• Reinforce domestic illusion of control.

• Prepare contingency plans for Post-Truth Governance.

• NOTE: Subject 45 cannot be defeated. Only accepted or denied.

And denial has already collapsed.

FINAL NOTE:

This is not a political figure.

This is a global reformatting event.

A system override.

A red script written in permanent marker across the face of Western order.

Because in this age—power no longer belongs to the righteous, or the intelligent, or the majority.

It belongs to whoever cannot be erased.

And He cannot be erased.

END TRANSMISSION.

Bill, I'm only going to comment on your first statement here. First I must say I have a son-in-law a Dr. who graduated from Harvard undergraduate and medical school so I've seen his definite intelligence coming from that point of view. I've been extremely impressed. But now let me move to the "priviledge, power and positivism" aspect providing the pernicious weed aspect of your view.

I have been thinking about the US government leadership. Let's just say the climate change, covid vaccines, mandated masks, forced vaccination and subsequent virulent cancers, censorship, main stream media, mandated masks, closure of businesses, men in women's sports, girls are men and men are girls, pronoun forcing, leftist creation of antifa and shipping leftists to campaign rallies as a show of support for communistic ideas and finally the Grand Daddy of them all WARS (Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Serbia/ Yugoslavia, Syria, Ukraine, Israel etc. etc.). My interpretation of it all, coming from a lowly university concentrating on engineering knowledge, is HUBRIS, HUBRIS, HUBRIS! The CIA is probably the primary example of HUBRIS, ego and astonishing incompetence. Do you realize they have an investment arm all their own? I guess they are so smart they simply don't have enough to do running around like spies, shooting presidents, creating wars, they must get into investments. This one entity of government shows the astonishing pervasiveness of hubris and incompetence. Did the CIA think they were really going to win a war with Russia? Did they realize Russia has nuclear weapons? They've said everyone else has "weapons of mass destruction" but they somehow missed this fact for Russia. The EU leadership and American leadership with vast spy information, I have to assume, thought they were going to win a war with Russia?

My view is the EU, British and American leadership simply have too much hubris, epitomized by Davos and the WEF. "Privilege, Power and Positivism ( i have to question positivism but I assume you mean with respect to themselves)". I agree with you 100% that this is probably the most important part of the failure of Western Civilization. Western leaders have almost every single aspect of their narrative wrong: energy, hate, sexuality, disease and finally their ultimate stupidity - war. It all comes down to their believing they are the important designated, apparently by God?, leaders of the world. While literally a homeless woman would likely have done better than the last 40 years of their leadership, since she probably would have done nothing.. So my suggestion is that we develop a new Republic where the primary objective is to have no leader. My reasoning is simple. Our leaders have gotten everything wrong and despite this complete failure in terms of government the US still survives. I've come to think that the reason why we survive is because the common man makes many of his own economic decisions, for the most part, allowing the country to move forward despite a continuous string of mistakes by its leaders. Think about the wars, the narrative by the left and now the reaction against it possibly. I can't help but think it is freedom alone that brings progress.

Take the scenic route into Bill Bonner's published background sometime, with a special stop at the "Connections to US Intelligence Agencies" Overlook. While there, take a load off and sit for a spell on the "Past Business Connections with "former" CIA Executives" Memorial Bench. It will go a LONG way toward explaining why we are seeing much of the inarticulate, logic-less, hypocritical garbage he is spewing on us now...

There is something strange about his persistence against Trump. He can't contain himself even with our audience of diehard Trumpers despising the elite globalists / totalitarians / war mongers. What do most people do today; what do they own? I imagine that China is what I witnessed as a boy. Charles Schwab was a child laborer, he went to work for Carnegie Steel, the largest low-cost producer situated in Steel Town Pittsburg and other places; he rose to the second position next to Carnegie. He was a genius, a steel man, no formal education but was one that Roosevelt called on to push American war production, 70,000 planes a year and a like fantastic number of of other implements of destruction. American production was prodigious, mystifying. America invented everything, manufactured everything.

Standard oil, Rockefeller, before the broke it up controlled oil worldwide. Maybe, there would never have been two world wars if oil was produced in various places, especially Russia, and distributed equitably and cheaply by Rockefeller. But the elite, governments always want control and advantage.

JP Morgan, the financial boys, bought Carnegie Steel; they changed the name, US Steel, made Charles Schwab president. Eventually they clashed and Schwab was fired. He bought a small company in Bethlehem, PA. He made it into the largest steel producer in the world.

He built a plant in my neighborhood, Sparrow’s Point, Md; it employed 35,000. He built a whole town and street cars running to it, then highways. It was prodigious, awe inspiring.

Schwab had a philosophy, the higher up you rose the closer you were to the production. The biggest houses, the highest paid bosses, had 13 blast furnaces in their back yard. Occasionally delivering stuff I would find myself 60 yards from those blast furnaces and one after another at intervals they would spew molten steel into ingots on railroad cars to be transferred to the rolling mills. Those mills ran 24 hours a day, three shifts. It was awesome. All over America, in small towns it was awesome.

Today it is all dead and the Townes are all Ghosts like the roaring old west, like the plains Townes, the old farming communities. The people languish, have Mountain Dew moth and die of fentanyl. It’s mass genocide and they just let 12 million more, uneducated, forlorn people in.

The American dream is dead, some bastards killed it.

The bastards own everything, produce nothing.

They own the stock market, 1% owns 60% but they control the passive investors. It is the source of their power, it signifies nothing, just corruption.

It’s all corruption and people are nothing to this 1%. They deal in genocide and control, the destruction of America. Destroy Americans, that antiquated sense of freedom, divine rights, control the world.

They want to control the world, it’s all the bastards have, they have no soul.

Their mantra lies, war after war, save the world for democracy. Their main tool, FREE TRADE.

Extrapolate what was, contemplate what is and decide what future you're willing to fight for.
