He's very happy with the move, and has no plans to ever return. He loved the people, but hated the government. Apart from the Lefties holding Canada up as a bright shining star of healthcare is the reason he moved. His wife was told 6 months for a cancer treatment, while being told she had 4 months to live. She was offered a dignified death pill. The medical system in Boston found she was misdiagnosed, with medication alone she was cured. According to my friend Canada has gone completely off the rails, he would not elaborate as to what that means.
Were I younger without children and grands, I would seriously consider a move. But to do so now would be to abandon them, as they are settled with no interest in leaving and little means to do so.

Yikes Bill I think you got your politics confused with the numbers wanting to leave the country. While it is true, that according to Gallup, 20% of Americans would like to leave the country, with young women leading the way, probably because they do not understand the states wide consequences of Roe v. Wade. But the reality is that in 2025 only 0.0529 did in fact leave the country. And there are several reasons why they left and only one of those reasons was politcaly motivated. So no Bill the sky is not falling, but your distain for America is on prime display.

Interesting there's no national conservative movement to do any of these things. And yet doing these things would end all wars, and make politicians serve the people's interests, not their own or the elites. Imagine over night all debts created under the Federal Reserve system and the IRS would be abolished. Housing would be cheap, criminals would be punished, an American could save for retirement even without interest paid on savings. A dollar earned would have the same purchasing power upon retirement. Housing would not longer be looked at as an asset while rising in price against inflation, because there'd be no inflation.
It might be time to leave when conservatives are more worried about protecting Social Security and their jobs from immigrants.
