Over the centuries, humans learned to deal with uncertainty by following rules. They follow the rules of Moses, the Constitution, habeas corpus, the First Amendment, due process and so forth.
The year long rise in gold proves the world (at least the central banks) understand history. I really expect Au at $5000.00 before year end. It's good for me but NOT GOOD for the country. I wish he had been a little less "the pit bull" in his comments. We may have a good financial year ahead in the markets, but the coming downside is going to be a killer!
Y'all remember what I said: You gotta read these things, as if every word of it is gospel and appropriate, and then it all makes sense, and you save your blood pressure. No one politician ever made anything but sense, never had anything but perfect understanding and good intentions, and the US system was wonderful right up until Nov. 2015, when Mr. Trump snookered Mrs. Clinton, who had selflessly devoted herself to the nation her entire life. Best always. PM
One day Bill and Hillary were driving through the back roads of Arkansas. They pulled into a gas station and a scruffy, dirty attendant came out to fill up the tank. Bill looked at Hillary and said, "Imagine how different life would be if you married him Hillary." Hillary looked at Bill and said, "Yea, imagine what it would be like if he were President of the United States."
Yes brother Paul, Mr Bill, or his deranged ghost writer, should have titled this TDS crap Trump Rules! Every time our current president has a win, these useful idiots whine on and on with absolute bullshit. Especially when they were so silent with Biden and the horrors that the left were committing against America. Yes brother Paul, “President Tump Rules” as does America. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 All of Bill horses(asses) and all of Bills deranged rants and men, won’t be able to put their globalist agenda back again. America Rules🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I think that after we've seen Trump's process, we should realize [watch Greenland] when Trump says, "We'll be the 1st to Mars and take it for the USA and we'll have all the minerals in the solar system!" he eventually does tone it down. I think Trump will embellish everything he initially says. People react: OMG! And then he ratchet's back and by comparison, people say, Oh well, it's not THAT bad. And then he goes to his next "extreme makeover". His process seems to act, then react and then retract and then be the magnanimous guy he is.
Does anyone know there is any investigation into the TACO trade? Specifically have insiders been front running the Trump announcements that affect the markets?
Here's something from Elon's Grok in reference to the day Trump postponed his tariffs: "According to a Bloomberg Billionaires Index report from April 9, 2025, the world's wealthiest people (tracked as the top 500 richest individuals) gained a combined $304 billion in net worth on that single day — marking the largest one-day.
increase in the index's history".
Maybe an insider should set up an TACO trade ETF and allow everyone to participate.
I am rereading The Dice Man at the moment, the 1971 novel about a psychiatrist who decides to let dice run his life as an experiment in freedom. Reading this column, it almost feels as if someone else read the book too and decided to try the experiment at scale, this time from the Oval Office.
I just posted a short piece called "Rolling the Dice with an Empire" comparing Rhinehart’s personal gamble with Bonner’s argument that empires, currencies, and trade systems only function when rules and restraint remain intact.
"Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
It is the rare individual that once granted power can restrain from abusing it.
It is a common trait of human nature.
That is why the Founders of America endeavored to create a system that inhibited power.
However, once you open the door to power, even on a limited scale, it metastasis like a cancer
until it kills the host.

The old rules were tossed more than a decade ago by liberal politicos...
Yes, the TACO 🌮 President came through… yet again.. as expected 😎
Its as if there's want in destroying whats left of America. Hard to make sense in any of it other than, aggandizement.
It’s really hard to say, We definitely weren’t headed down the right path with the previous administration/political party.

Bill, talk about the "rules" of asylum FIRST before mentioning habeas corpus! Talk about the "broken rules" before mentioning Due Process.........

Perfect timing.
