Bill, in your missive today with the fraud theme, you mentioned that the Israelies were "slaughtering" the Palestinians. Did you mean slaughtering Hamas? I think your ideology is showing again.

Old man

We agree on many things but not Israel

You can call it genicide but Palestinians voted hamas a terrorist group

Leave Israel alone and in peace there would be no killing of either Palestinians or Israelis

It won’t happen if they keep chanting from the river to the sea

If Israel wanted or intended a genocide they would have accomplished it by textbook definition in about five minutes. You are simply wrong on this one.

Well, we disagree. Unfortunately for the Jewish people, their criminals in government are going to bring a horrific ending to the State of Israel. The Middle East is rising up against Israel and the U.S. Top that off with the U.S. military is far behind Russia and China. U.S. has spent its money on 900 military bases and countless boondoggles here, there, and everywhere and is rapidly losing, if not already loss, its hegemony of the only "super power" and world reserve currency. The curtain has been pulled back and it is just the fat orangeman playing while the world burns. One day in the not-too-distant future the Jewish people are going to pay a huge price for their government's actions. So sad and so many just drink the kool-aid - anything and everything their Israeli/U.S. government does it just wonderful. And, they are ALL powerfu. How did that work out against Iran? About 12 days and then......... So sad.........

Dave J's avatar

There's a lot to unpack in what you said (most of which is factually false). If the Russian military is so superior why can't they defeat a rag-tag army in the Ukraine? Why did the top leader of Saudi Arabia sit down with Trump to forge a stronger relationship with the U.S. just last week? If Iran is in such great shape militarily (which would also indicate domestic and economic strength) why can't they get water to their nation's Capital city? That seems pretty important (to me anyway).

Yes, the U.S. government is guilty of committing boondoggles. Name a country/government that hasn't. When one looks at the situations in the world objectively, there are clearly many problems. But in which nation would you rather reside while the situations play out?

Tom Langdon's avatar

Yes, there have been too many civilian casualties. But genocide is used inappropriately here. Genocide indicates a planned elimination of a particular population. While this may have happened, for reasons well be on the control of the IDF, it was not planned, rather it was the result in which Hamas and their proxies chose to conduct their war.

Perhaps both. How about basing your bullshit opinion on fact versus what you feel or think ... I would call you an idiot here but i am trying to be nice.

Well, actually I think it's worse than that. At least some of the progressive left are trying to destroy our country so that they can replace it with their socialist progressive "utopia". Many of these people have been brainwashed by years of progressive education and cannot think rationally - that is, think based on the fundamental facts of reality. They think things are "free" rather than that everything must be obtained by productive effort - even if it is stolen and given away as free, it must be produced by someone else first.

Speaking of fraud in the COVID era, my father-in-law got a Covid stimmy check in 2020. He died in 2018. The check had his name on the Pay to line, followed by a comma and then the word “deceased”. Would hardly have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes. It made my head spin at the time. Today I know it’s business as usual for the US government.

Expand full comment
Paul Murray's avatar

I'm not justifying this; I am merely seeking a rationale. And I'm not clear on any of the COVID timelines, but maybe he was alive when the program came under discussion or some such, and the government intended it as compensation to the estate? I don't know; it was a boondoggle anyway you look at it. Best always. PM

I tried to find a rationale at the time because this was so unbelievable I thought there had to be something I was missing. After the events of the last 5+ years I don’t believe there was. Truth is not actually, inherently disgusting. It merely is. Truth, fact, and reality are things that merely are. It is our reaction to those impartial, existing essences that brings in the emotions. If the truth is disgusting to you, then you have, in many cases certainly understandable, an aversion based on your values system. I am not taking you to task; I am merely pointing out that truth, fact, and reality are impartial. They have no axe to grind. They are constants, and they just are. Best always. PM

The Feds keep printing wealth like it’s a craft project.

They’ve turned the entire economy into a kindergarten art class run by a raccoon with a caffeine problem and somehow everyone’s shocked that the fake money ends up in the pockets of the rich?

And oh….also in Zelensky’s pocket. You ever watch Zelensky dance on TV? 🕺 He makes Sergei Polunin look like he overdosed on speed!

The Government is built on unearned cash, unearned status, unearned power, and unearned forgiveness.

Nobody sweats, nobody works, nobody earns a damn thing. The only thing they produce is excuses…and even those are printed on counterfeit sincerity.

The Government functions like a slot machine that only pays out to people who visit the White House and have a yacht parked inside their living room, but they like to call it foreign aid.

Whenever the government sends money to another country, luxury car sales spike so hard they break the sound barrier. You can practically hear the champagne corks from orbit. Meanwhile, the average citizen is standing in line for gas, food, and the privilege of being lied to.

I love how the Feds dump fake cash into the economy like confetti at a clown funeral and expect honesty. Yet nobody really knows where it came from.

Or where it went.

Or who it belonged to.

Or why it smells like hot plastic.

Here’s the funny part, whenever the government hands out trillions in unearned currency, the folks who really like money somehow manage to find it. It’s like leaving a plate of ribs on the porch and being surprised a wolf pack filled out a customer satisfaction survey.

Every scandal starts the same way:

A gold-plated bathroom, a vault full of suspicious cash, and some bureaucrat saying, “Wow, I don’t know how that got there.”

Yeah…

Sure you don’t.

Neither does Santa.

Lots of folks in Congress are in retirement mode, so of course they’re going to run off with half the treasury, but the citizens, the hard working class go, “Oh no, it’s fraud!” Yup, fraud giving birth to more fraud, and the midwife is some hot young intern with a broken calculator!

I don't get into the argument, anymore. There is no convincing or persuading the anti-Israel (not the same as anti-Jews, a deference to Ol' LSO' s distinction) side of the issue. I know how I see it, and those that see it as I see it will agree and those who don't see it as I see it will disagree. When the two sides are essentially 50-50 is when the trouble starts, as there can be no acceptable policy or approach at that point. Best always. PM
