Thanks, Bill Bonner, for pointing out the truth. Sometimes the truth is a bitter pill to swallow, but truth is the path to clarity.

Former President-in-name-only Biden labelled the conservative, traditional-values faction of the electorate "the enemy" in his "Battle for the Soul of the Nation" speech in Philadelphia, 01 September 2022. Where I come from, them's fightin' words. Clarity was on full display on that occasion. You must have been ecstatic. Best always. PM

Sorry to correct you, Paul, I’m a conservative. I just happen to prefer truth to wishful thinking. Hope you won’t take offense.

I never take offense. I take issue, but not offense. That's not the purpose of this forum, or so did I think, until the owner of the site decided to make things personal, or so it appears to me. Having been around the various Bonner enterprises since the 90s, the turn is not something I expected, but it is something with which I must deal. Best always. PM

I like a lot of what Trump has done but his ethics are getting worse. I am starting to dislike a lot of what he is doing.

Yep - Bill, you are spot-on! Piracy, Arbitrarily Killing People, Taking Bribes and Kick-Backs - how has America come to this point? A rotten and disguising criminal as President doing whatever he likes without any morals or ethics. It is truly a horrific time in America's once great history. The evil that lurks in Washington is beyond belief. The World knows and is running away from America. What lies ahead is going to be horrific beyond belief. America has transitioned to the Evil Empire.

Please reduce the Trump obsessive content. It’s off the topic.

Jimm Roberts's avatar

No way. Trump's erratic behavior, pardons for bucks, goofy tariffs and spending that increases our deficit are apt topics

Tlasso's avatar

The only question is I don't see the bucks as you call them. I see doing favors for criminals (which I don't agree with) but I don't see the $$$ coming back to Trump. If you know of it please tell me. Plus this column by BB actually mentioned hunter which is BB finally moving toward equal treatment. Still way left but the facts are the facts and Trump (who I support) is doing some questionable pardons in my opinion.

Jimm Roberts's avatar

The bucks don't go to Trump directly; they go to his "interests." See 60 Minutes for its most recent revelation of the quid pro quo which netted Trump interests an extraordinary sum in exchange for pardoning a criminal who, unlike convicted felon Trump, served time following his conviction.

Bill your missive today is old news. It is not good news, rather it is reflection of the American polical system that has arisen post the Eisenhower administration, save a slight reprive during he Carter administration however, that slack was taken up by the Biden administration and then some. So why all the hand wringing?

Have you ever looked at the correlation between the decline of the dollar and the rise of the 1%? They are one in the same. It has been a long term plan to redistribute wealth in a Constitutional Republic which had to be a necessarily slow and methodical process making sure there were no ripples of theft appearing on the pond. Trump is but a pon in the whole unsightly process which has been instutionalized by surreptitious powers who are far beyond the reach of the politics and the courts.

If you look around, you can see that this is probably what is supposed to happen. Read the Book. There is not a safe place or stronghold anywhere in this world. This is the Devil's playground, and you can see it every day working, stealing, manipulating. Paper money is worthless, and gold is not going to do anything for you either. You can't eat it, drink it, or breathe it, and if you have it, and somebody wants it, they can just take it. Faith is more precious than gold. You can't eat it, drink it or breathe it, but it is what gets you out of this hell hole and into the real Kingdom.

I think we can stop talking about 1971, Nixon, Biden, Trump, Epstein, Shipping Container Ships, Dark Fleets, Democrats, Republicans, Congress, Taxes, Give-aways...

Tlasso's avatar

Bart, I think you hit the nail on the head.

RANDALL R NORTON's avatar

Gosh, will somebody remind me how Biden didn't get "beat-up-by-Bonner" when Joe gave away FOUR THOUSAND PARDONS??? Oh, what was that? It wasn't really JOE giving away all those pardons? Was it Hunter doing all the signing? Man oh man, Hunter must have had a sore wrist after all those paintings PLUS all the pardons!

nah, he had the auto pen

In this End-of-Empire phase of American history I am convinced that we will only have choices for high office going forward that amount to the lesser of two evils. That does not mean, however, that all differences will be narrow. It does mean that we cannot vote our way out of the mess we have collectively gotten ourselves into.

Never mind that Biden (doing his best imitation of a strong man) labelled his entire political opposition as "the enemy" in his "red" Philadelphia speech (what was billed as the "Battle for the Soul of the Nation" 01 September 2022). The intent, language, and imagery were unmistakable.

BPR is one man's personal enterprise, and he may do as he wishes. I wonder if the proprietor and editor of BPR comes across as not an advisor or a friend, but rather a martinet and a scold, presuming the audience is incapable of forming its own views and conclusions? Best always. PM

You can always count on Bill for a serious dose of anti-semitism. What do Paulson, Ackman, Berkowitz and Icahn have in common? Bingo! They are all Jewish. You neglected the 10,000 Christians who got rich during the stock market crashes and the banking bailouts. Jamie Diamond comes to mind. Bill, you fit in perfectly with your Irish heritage. Jew hating and drinking a lot is a huge strength. Am Yisrael Chai

Maybe I'm beating a dead horse but I just saw this in the Vanguardia newspaper - Mike Vigil , former head of operations for the DEA, stated that former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández , who received a pardon from Donald Trump, is a bigger drug kingpin than Joaquín Guzmán Loera or even Pablo Escobar, because he had complete control of the government to operate freely. You can see the interview on YouTube, just use a translator if you don't understand Spanish. -https://youtu.be/sLurDIWzxwA?si=frUV3fsD31qXwJV1

But whaddabout Biden? Whine, whine, whine. If you want to read about the crimes of yesteryear, you have plenty of choices. Bill is, quite rightly, concerned with the present. The destruction of free trade that's underway is far more important. First tariffs, and now ... well, a bright line that I thought would never, ever be crossed: piracy.

When Trump attempted a coup to stay in power after he lost the 2020 election he automatically became the worst President in history. Yet low information voters managed to return him to the White House. My 3 candidates most responsible for the disaster we're now experiencing are Elon Musk, Joe Biden and Charlie Kirk.

Gee Bill, a token reference to the Biden crime family. Too little too late!

Many of you express that Trump is the only one that does things differently (corruption, pardons, name calling, etc). All presidents (from Johnson, Clinton to now and even before them) do it; all politicians are corrupt. Maybe not when elected but soon thereafter they are all on the take and do many things not in the best interest of Americans. We have to live the way things are and do the best we can or leave the country for what could be a better life.

Dennis T.'s avatar

The only difference between Trump and the majority of his predecessors is the focused media attention paid Trump and for a purpose. The idea America's media outlets exist to root out corruption wherever it may hide is absurd. Where was the media the Progressive Democrat Woodrow Wilson and associates did an end run around Congress to create the Federal Reserve banking system and the IRS? Wilson's second in command Roosevelt was tasked with creating a plan to invaded every European nation. Roosevelt confiscated the people's gold starting the fiat banking system, the means to finance every war to come, and come they did.

There's a common theme that runs through American history, "war is not the answer" unless a Progressive Democrat starts the war and grows government in the process.

The wars the Democratic Party started includes:

the War of 1812

the Mexican-American War

the Spanish-American War

World War I

World War II

the Korean War

the Vietnam War

Apart from the Mexican-American war every war on the list was fought to create and expand the American empire none were fought to protect the sovereignty of the USA or protect its citizens. WW2 would never have happened if we had not entered WW1.

The wars the Republican Party started includes:

American Civil War a noble cause fought to end the theft of a man's labor

the Gulf War

the War in Afghanistan

the Iraq War

the War on Terror

Apart from the Civil War where the Democrat party lost its pool of expendable free labor, all other wars on the list were started to strip the citizenry of Constitutional rights.

It's all a game, DC throws the parties, the citizens are not invited. We are tasked like the slaves of old to toil and bleed to fill the coffers of banksters who in turn slop the hogs in DC to create more ways to separate the citizen's from the rewards of their labor.

Trump knows the ship is sinking he's hoping a few more can enter the lifeboats. The banksters know the shit is going to hit the fan. When it does they's prefer someone more to their liking be in charge. The type of president who will pat American people on the head and say; We're all in this together, we need to give up some more Constitutional rights for a short time until we get the nation (new feudal system) back on track.
