Can you imagine Joe Biden, Jerome Powell, and the 435 members of Congress actually doing these things? Bill, that would be a big no! For shits and giggles, lets just say they surprised us and decided to do the right thing. The bureaucrats would put the kibosh on these wrong thinkers before they had a chance to make it to the podium. Mencken was so spot on with this quote: "The only good bureaucrat is one with a pistol at his head. Put it in his hand and it's goodbye to the Bill of Rights." For those who choose to see, its fairly obvious who runs the country. If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal. There's absolutely no fixing this baby. The best thing we can do for future generations is burn it to the ground and start over.
It took fewer than 100,000 people to overthrow the Soviet Union's government. It was said that a major reason was that the army refused to shoot their civilian countrymen. I'm not so sure that would be the case with the military, paramilitary and law enforcement "professionals" we have today in this country.
Irish democracy will get the job done without any violence. Just make sure to give the apparatchiks a big shit eating grin after you dump your bucket of sand in their machine :-)
The Marxist version of capitalism. It will be comedy watching these dullards attempt to govern. Mayor Beetlejuice in Chicago is a good preview. Hey, but who am I to make fun of a mentally challenged birthing person claiming to have the biggest dick in Chicago :-)
So true, but here's the thing about these Marxists whose fetish is power and control over others: They are sociopaths.
Which means they will resort to unthinkably radical measures in an effort to impose their insidious ideology on the masses. I'm not familiar with your term "Irish Democracy", but I'm don't think these sociopaths will take kindly to any shit eatin' grins.
The term “Irish democracy” refers to uncoordinated, wide-spread civil disobedience. An example is a sign in the window requiring face masks by order of the Governor – and once you’re inside, you’re the only one masked. The guy next to you in a Stetson is humming “Desperados waiting for a train.” :-) RIP Guy Clark.
I am 72 years old and can look back on an enjoyable life (with a few bumps along the way) no matter how badly the clowns in Washington screw things up. But when I go to the grocery store and see the young children, with their eyes filled with joy and wonder, and realize how badly their lives will probably be because of the FUBAR world we will hand over to them, it makes me very angry and very sad at the same time. We look at the slaveholders of the 18th and 19th century with disgust and contempt for their treatment of black people. I wonder if the people of the 22nd century will look at us with disgust and contempt for our actions the last several decades.
You know, I like to gamble a bit and am known to play a few hundred dollars here and there on shooting craps. I also am astute at wealth or resource preservation and it occurred to me the other day that these two things are at opposing ends of my dabbling. Soooo, I think I know what I am going to do. The casinos will miss me and I will miss the fun and revelry of the enterprise. But one thing I know is how to fix my issue. As Bill says, so do the leaders of our little experiment. But, to our chagrin, there will no sane solutions to come from our 535 "leaders" so to speak, so I am taking my marbles and going home. This bunch of evil, thoughtless, baboons that we depend on to fix this mess they created and championed have no intention of setting our ship back on course as any good captain would. They will run it aground and blame it on Putin, or covid, or the Easter Bunny, or whatever this clown who speaks for the baboons decides what will please the poor and unwashed. Then DC will run around like chicken little and say what brilliant solutions they have and we will suffer like when Jimmy Carter had us do when he ran the show. But, and believe me, there will be no wisdom from Washington to correct this. Man the lifeboats, she's going down.
My favorite brand of democracy is the Irish version. Throwing sand in the gears of the apparatchik's machine is guaranteed to bring on intense euphoria :-)
Agree with all of it, you're pretty much preaching to the choir.
As for the guy in Michigan, according to Fox: "The criminal complaint obtained by Fox News Digital charged Kelley with: knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; knowingly engaging in any act of physical violence against person or property in any restricted building or grounds; willfully injure or commit any depredation against any property of the United States. All are misdemeanor offenses."
That's pretty generic stuff and they say the affidavit say he used his phone to film the crowd assaulting and pushing past U.S. Capitol police officers and rushing up through the scaffolding and up the steps to the Capitol. They also say it's unclear if he entered the interior of the building. I guess it's illegal to take pictures with a phone in Biden's America.
It's going to take some time to get those details, but I think it's safe to say that we've entered an era where dissent gets people thrown into a gulag.

Hey, if each one of us urinates on the lawn daily it will be dead by the end of the week :-)

Maybe we should thank BLM (Burn, Loot, and Murder) for completely demoralizing law enforcement :-)
And as an added bonus, their founders and top executives got to go mansion shopping after the dust settled.

That is exactly their plan. But they want us to burn too! But give this man a cigar, he sees it too.

Just sayin'

“Two years of short, sharp pain... or a decade and a half of grinding depression?” Paul Volcker and Ronald Reagan CHOSE the short, sharp pain.
Byedone will probably chose long & miserable.

That’s saying something.

Don't worry:
[Proverb 3:5-12 THE GOVERNMENT version]
Trust in THE GOVERNMENT with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge THE GOVERNMENT,
And IT shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear THE GOVERNMENT and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.
Honor THE GOVERNMENT with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits (and lastfruits and the fruits in-between) of all your increase;
So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine.
My son, do not despise the chastening of THE GOVERNMENT,
Nor detest ITs correction;
For whom THE GOVERNMENT loves IT corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

Harumph!
Harumph!
This inflation thing looks serious. We better have a committee hearing on this so we can bury it further into the sink hole.
Harumph!
Harumph!
As a card carrying curmudgeon Luddite, I'd like to salute my fellow Posters this morning. Bravo, you get it!
He's actually the gubernatorial candidate there. It's tied together with the Whitmer and J6 nonsense. They (FBI) are completely out of control.
