I'm guessing Bill's point is: Trump is making lots of mistakes or maybe with greater sympathy that Trump is just one more idiotic "leader" on the road to government destruction of the empire. But given Bill's propensity to go on and on against Trump it appears there is a genuine hate, like maybe a globalist/socialist would have. He does prefer to live in socialist countries. I can't see that as constructive. Seems a better approach would be to simply describe what better financial moves one should make. Maybe Bill doesn't know or is searching for that answer. Speaking of other lobbying groups. In the UK there is a lobby group known as 55 Tufton Street- an address where a number of libertarian/alt-right think-tanks (who have never revealed their funders thought to be people like the Kochs) campaigned for the UK to be divided into a number of freeport/freetrade zones.
They were the ones behind the failed Liz 'Lettuce' Truss budget and under Rishi Sunak were proposing that large areas of the country including National Parks- were handed over to corporations to own and govern as they wished.
They are also heavily connected to climate change skepticism, euroscepticism, anti-immigration lobbying, and broader government deregulation that has filled the UK press for the last 10 years.
These groups alongside the Brexiteers advocated -using the Rees Mogg Sovereign Individual book as their intellectual blueprint- for a hard Brexit and were very happy to accept the resulting national chaos. Essentially, the book is a disaster capitalism manual for elites to bypass national regulations and thrive in a globalized economy, leaving the rest of society to suffer the consequences of societal and economic disorder.
Of course, Bill Bonner and Dan Denning have talked about their dealings with Rees-Mogg in this newsletter and talked about the ideology/dark fantasy of the Sovereign Individual.

This is whataboutism. If you think that they are an even worse lobbying group, could you provide some information. I would argue that the legacy of 15 years of Tufton influenced policies (Covid lockdown corruption, hard Brexit, selling off public services only to get a more expensive lower quality service) have been disastrous for the country and that the media narrative through the press and their promotion of parties such as Reform and Restore (which have terrible unfeasible economic policies) are still very active in fighting for this groups wishes.

I wish it were so! It would mean that historical policies and what has gone before have no bearing on today and that a lobby group cannot be effective through other means such as the press, opposition parties and putting the interests of stakeholders such as businesses forward. The Labour government has continued many of the Tufton policies and been moved to the right on many others such as immigration by Reform.
It's a shame that politics has become less about discussing points and getting to a reasonable consensus and finding the most pragmatic way forward.
'Footballification' has become the order of the day, where people pick sides and hold entrenched but unreasonable views and then seek to shout down their opposition. This is another legacy of the alt-right/Tufton style lobbying.
