As a former lobbyist for a US defense contractor, Bill's assessment of our Congress is spot on.

The lack of term limits and the lack of a Constitutional command to balance the budget combined with the right all US citizens to seek redress or succor from our Congress has created a perverse relationship between our Congress and the taxes we remit to our Federal government.

Members of Congress are not elected because they promise to be good stewards of the public purse.

And once they are elected, they are kept in office by providing their constituents access to the public purse.

AIPAC, like any other US entity, has the right to petition the Congress. Understandably, it puts the interests of Israel ahead of America's interests.

Based on its successes securing US taxpayer monies for Israel, including US tax deductions for buying Israeli bonds, it is a powerful lobby.

Years ago, I recall sharing an elevator with an AIPAC lobbyist chatting with a colleague. What I vividly recall was his cheery boast to his companion that whatever he wants from Congress he gets.

I've heard this sophistry about opposition to Israel but not to Jews in general, before. From the kids in the streets of NYC who cheered on the Hamas butchers. The ones throwing Jewish babies in ovens on October 7th, of course then, the simple defense for the antisemites went to simply denying that any atrocities had been committed by Hamas. As if the cheerleaders for Hamas had any special insight or even gave a shit. .as if they weren't simply more of the bigoted antisemites we have seen in the past. Same sentiments - different ovens...

However, we did finally get some numbers out of Bill. $170b plus to Israel as proof of his version of Graham's "Deep State" (now being run by "the Jews", doncha know). How absurd. Particularly coming from the guy who still thinks the senile, office access selling Biden and his family weren't fleecing the nation even as they were corrupting our FBI and CIA - the real Deep State.

How conveniently you ignore that Israelis killed half as many Palestinians in EACH of the preceding dozen years before the October 'masacre', and they did it in lands they had no business being in, and were effectively paid by the Israeli government to at least occupy those lands with the obvious goal of driving the locals out or klilling them. I don't believe a single one of those murderers was ever prosecuted. Maybe you can show me a list of those that were?

Israel created Hamas as controlled opposition, and they jointly executed the Oct 7 operation.

"Our nation has lost a great patriot and warrior." Surely I'm not the only one that feels a bit nauseous reading that quote in reference to Lindsay Graham.

Warrior? Perhaps in the sense that a warrior is one who is pleased to send your money and children to any far-off land, regardless of whether or not there is a defined and/or achievable goal.

And, like most in Washington, they only send others off to far lands. And, today it is getting worse - easy to send others to die for nothing Americans care about. Such a horrific turn for America. They care nothing about democracy or freedom - and, in fact, they are against both. Pathetic!

"The Senate has lost a believer in that body’s essential role in preserving democracy. Our nation has lost a great patriot and warrior".

Well now that was a load of dog vomit. Graham is why the USA is cynically referred to as West Israel.

Well put. Genocides, Genocides, and more Genocides. How can anyone with a lick of sense condone genocides. Killing women, children, and babies. From my view point - how sick are these people. And, now we are seeing the World come against the Israel/U.S. venture. Russia, Iran, China, and even poor ol' Yemen are standing-up. The Days of American Hegemony is fading fast. And, of course, us peons will feel the pain - not the scammers and criminals in Washington. And Founding Fathers are turning in their graves!

And just like that ol Bill the elitist faux populist hypocritical faux American

Slanders Sen Graham after his untimely death from exhaustion and heartdisease (genetic) Sen Graham was a lion of the Senate A great American And one of the good guys who had one of the lowest net worths in Senate not engaged in chicanery for wealth and served 33 distinguished years in uniform and giving his life to country He was my friend

Bill Is not!!

Basta Bill! Basta!

It's not slander (or more properly in this instance, libel) unless it's untrue. Bill's facts seem accurate, as do yours. The rest is a matter of opinion. My opinion of the man more closely matches Bill's.

I think ole bill would prefer that hamas or hezbola or the gangs of Mexico be in charge of the senate instead of Israel having more influence like all lefties he is not in favor of a nation that has more freedom he prefers the terrorists to be in charge

Bill, the so called deep state has been in play post the Eisenhower administration. Each side has its share of deep staters; it is how democracies operate in the modern world post the the elimination of the gold standard where power, was and is, derived in an inflationary economy. Yes, the deep staters have great influence on American voters but they still have to go to the American voter who is fickle, unpredictable, sophisticated and ignorant all at the same time. I put my money on my fellow American and so far the yin and yang is in balance.
