Oh Bill, you have this wonderful way of humorously describing the obvious. In the end we will have to pay our debts and we will decide to do that with a greatly depreciated dollar. There really is no other way at this point in history. One cannot expect pensioners to graze on their lawns after a lifetime of hard work. It won't do! They may have to tighten their belts a touch but no more than a touch. To prevent the masses from picking up their pitchforks minimum wage will go from $15 to $20 to $30 which will help pay for the higher prices on everything, and like the frog in warming water if done incrementally no one will notice.

You know what I'm really worried about? That drought in the Western US is going to affect in a serious way food security. If climate change brings three major crop failures in one year you could, perhaps, see famines of biblical proportions. Who do you know that has more than two weeks of food in store at home?

How this became political I'll leave behind. What is funny sort of is that we can pipe oil to Mississippi from the the North Pole but won't pipe water from Canada, the country with massive amounts of water, to us with good soils and good weather. How much do the Great Lakes dump into the Atlantic everyday? It's always been about productive allocation hasn't it?

Nice try. There have been attempts to expropriate Canadian water, the original NAFTA was a close call. The destruction of the Colorado watershed and the infighting in California over water "entitlement" is a prime example of why you should not covet thy neighbour's wife nor his water.

Review the history in the Middle East where the Jordan River has been drained into Israel's equivalent of California's Central Valley, and recast your understanding of the conflict as an hydraulic dispute.

And furthermore, review the history of pipelines from Canadian producers to tidewater- opposed by US supported "environmentalists" to lock Canadian producers out of world prices. See KeystoneXL, recent nonsense with Gretchen and Mackinac tunnel, etc.

And with the major currencies of the world soon going digital, starting with the Chinese and soon to be followed(I believe) by the US, the word “fiat” will start to take on a whole new meaning. How do you reset $300 Trillion in debt? By massive inflation, asset transfers and re-monetizations, for starters. One thing is for sure, it will be a war of financial survival between the global central banks and their erstwhile nations. But with transparency completely gone very few will know what is going on day to day. You’ll still be able to check your bank balance, and what you see may surprise, nay, shock you.

Is the Fed really responsible for this mess?I think the Fed is just trying to keep the Titanic afloat, until the next guy takes over. The Fed isn't responsible for the massive deficits.Even the politicians in office are just messengers for the voters. The ultimate responsibility for this mess is on the voters. They vote for lots of government spending and not for the taxes to pay for it.That's why the situation will get worse,no matter who is elected.

You know you sound like fun but you're so full of s--t. Where do you come with all this conspiracy crap, stop it. Don't forget it was Nixon that took us off gold and gave us the EPA and opened the door to the Chinese, Republican through and through. Then there was Ronnie who gave us our first recovery on the credit card, trickle down economics, and war crimes in central America. Absolutely true, no conspiracy, except for the cover up. So, you'd have us back to trusting our corporate leaders to "do the right thing" like Hooker Chemical, Dow Chemical (agent orange, DDT) General Electric, (can't eat the fish in the Hudson River) and on and on and on. You are as brainwashed as the liberal elite. We need to take our country back from all the extremes, don't be one of them, stick to the rational middle.

Sir, if you must view through a partisan lens, nothing will ever be clear. I call ‘em like I see ‘em… conspiracy or not. Corporate leaders (wealthy elite) doing the right thing… like shipping our industrial base overseas? I could school you chapter and verse on everything… Feds, politicians, deep state, elite, woke, media, voters, academia, social activists, the Constitution. It’s all there to be seen if you remain logical. You have to contrast what is claimed with the outcomes of what is done, and distinguish between facts, lies, and damn lies. For example, I will take on your first point. Tricky Dick’s destruction of the gold standard. It was pre-ordained… only the “final nail” in a coffin under construction since 1933. Its fate was sealed in 1965 by LBJ’s “guns and butter” policies, the “Great Society”, Vietnam, NASA, and the Cold War. For the next three years after, the Federal Reserve Note liability increased with deficits from the U.S. Federal Budget. The ”gold cover”, the amount of gold backing the Federal Reserve Note, decreased from 40 percent in 1965 to 25 percent (the minimum required by law) in 1968. On March 18, 1968, LBJ signed a bill eliminating the “gold cover”, and this ushered in a paradigm shift in the US economy. Free market capitalism was “out” and government controlled “creditism” was in. This debt economy has ruled us, and the rest of the world, ever since. Nixon’s removal of the gold standard was fallout from six years of financial mismanagement, and Congress delighted in a new way of spending money without “getting their hands dirty” with taxes. The Fed, big business, and ignorant taxpayers all went along for the thrill ride and free lunch at our government's feeding trough. I get frosted over what we have done and are doing to our progeny. I recognize evil when I see it.

When I got your reply as an email, it was three pages long. Really? This will probably be my last time disputing your alternative facts since it is so time-consuming. I don't want to argue with you any more.

I have the real facts, not you. Trump never said, "Go to the Capitol and express your views." What he actually said was, "We fight like Hell. And if you don't fight like Hell you're not going to have a country anymore." Fact.

I don't know where you get your alternate facts but Trump never authorized the National Guard and Pelosi never declined it; in fact, Pelosi and others were pleading for the National Guard to come. Fact. Pence authorized the Guard and Pelosi was never in on the decision. Fact. Those communicating and making decisions on the Guard include the D.C. Metro Police Chief, the Capitol Police Board, the Secretary of the Army, the Commanding General of the DC National Guard, Director of Army staff, Chief of U.S. Capitol Police force, and D.C. mayor. Fact. Read the official timeline of the attempted coup.

Trump and his supporters filed over 50 lawsuits and all but one were dropped, dismissed, denied, or ruled against. Fact. No court, including the Supreme Court, has found a single instance of fraud. Fact.

"Pence having power to decertify electors is a gray area"--NOT. The Electoral Count Act specifically limits the Vice President to ceremonial duties. Fact. "The Vice-President shall preside and he(sic) shall ensure that the certifications and votes from the states are opened and read out." Fact.

Good-by.
