I’ve wondered for years why we do not use our best, most interesting teachers to electronically present top quality lessons. I attended Ohio State back in the sixties and they had the technology then . Best guess as to why we still don’t have such a system lies with the power of the teacher’s unions. Such a waste, particularly now when our children’s educational futures are being shredded in the name of coved.

In reply to Tom's question as to why don't schools do what he and and his wife do for their children. The purpose of modern education is to teach children what to think, not how, and the powers that be couldn't countenance the former as it would make the majority of the population unmanageable as opposed to the small minority that exist in he Western World now after 70 years of dumbing down.

I am wondering if Tom can share what curriculum they are using for their homeschooling. The public system is in NOT working where we live. Hopefully he can share this information without getting into trouble.

Thanks,

Gloria from WA state.

The pandemic didn’t cause the stock market to soar, the trillions in funny money did : $120 Billion a month(and counting). Covid was just the chimera for profligacy. When Covid is in the rear view mirror we will have its’ replacement in full swing - the Cyber Pandemic, the Great Financial Reset(ushered in by the cyber pandemic) or perhaps the next bio-weapon, or war with the Russians or Chinese or both. The point is there will be no shortage of reasons to print money, until the entire house collapses and the money is worthless. I used to think bad things made the stock market go down and good things made it go up. I no longer believe that.

As a wise economics professor once told me: “When everybody at the dance is ugly, there’s still dancing going on”

The bear market is here. You should see it start to fall further this week. Apple and a few other companies won’t be able to hold it up much longer. By mid week the sellers will outnumber the buyers again and the fall continues. I agree with you that the next few years look bleak. The best thing I’ve done for myself and family is taking the time to learn hot to trade options. I’ll make more as stocks move lower and the panic selling begins. It’s not only about protecting your financial assets, but realizing that the profits that can be realized when the market continues to move lower can be substantial. That should also be part of everyone’s financial plan. You can make profits in a bear market just as you can in a bull market.
