While this is not a merry old uplifting message, all should listen to this truth. Bill is giving it to you straight. The destruction of the middle class is exactly what is going on. If you are familiar with the Georgia Guidestones, there are 7.5 billion too many bodies on this earth. The "stones" indicate that the planet can support only 500,000,000 people. Don't hit me for I am the messenger only. When you have lived as long as me, you get a feeling for which way the wind is blowing. But, this I know, that there is a God who loves me and you more than you can ever imagine. He created this place we live and has no intention of letting us have control of the thermostat. In 1976 I read in a Popular Mechanic or some such magazine at the time, that the earth was entering another ice age. Imagine that. Only 50 years later it is warming? In terms of time that is a couple of minutes relatively speaking. Fear mongers in the government and the media would have you thinking that the end is near. Enjoy the day and look forward to the next one. That is all that is promised, one day at a time. I read that somewhere in Matthew 6:34 that is all we have. What a great message. It will last you a lifetime. Just sayin'

“If Americans ever allow banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children will wake up homeless”-Thomas Jefferson

I saw this quote years ago in a book about our financial system and it has stayed with me. Looks more true every year.

Would you recommend a good Book about Thomas Jefferson.

Ive read all of Bill Bonners books, and my favorite was " Mobs, Messiahs and Markets, Surviving the Public Spectacle in Finance and Politics "

From what I read, the young, delusional and incompetent were out in droves. Voting for their lives. The president said (without checking details) it was a “good day”.

There’s reason to believe in higher gold prices though. Seems with every rate hike the treasury will be in a tighter and tighter spot (when you borrow just to pay the interest on loans with increasingly higher interest rates, it’s not good for all the new debt that comes on board) and so there is a silver lining.

Laxalt's lead is down to 9,000 here in Nevada. The SOS's website says that 100 percent of Clark County "is in". Yet, on the news last night the Clark County Election Commissioner said they have "about 51,000 more mailed in ballots to count in Clark County and we're in no hurry to count them." Our country is being stolen from us in broad daylight. (Don't get me started on what took place in PA and Georgia.)

All good stuff as usual PG. It was interesting here in Nevada. They mailed everyone a ballot and if you chose to vote in person on election day you had to either surrender the mailed in ballot or sign an Affidavit saying you have only voted once.

THEN, in order to get a "voter card" which provided access to a Dominion voting machine, I had to sign on an electronic pad that digitally compared my signature to that on my voter registration document. My first crack at the signature was rejected as "not a match" so I had to sign the pad a second time which it accepted. That's all good, but I don't like the Dominion aspect because several IT professionals and experts have evaluated those machines and said they are highly susceptible to tampering, hacking and algorithmic manipulation.

The other concerning thing for Laxalt is that these 51,000 Clark County votes were not dropped off on election day (according to the Election Commissioner I saw interviewed last night). They were mailed in ballots that didn't get counted first because in Nevada, they only have to be postmarked on election day and received within four days thereafter. So, given it's Clark County and they were mailed in, I don't like Laxalt's chances, nor Walker's for the reasons you've already chronicled. I don't know what to think about Masters. I can only hope and pray your assessment of those uncounted votes in AZ is spot on.

According to the math, a 30 year fixed rate mortgage principal would need to be almost exactly half when interest rates increase from 3% to 6%. In this way houses behave like bonds. Except the price discovery is painfully slow. A new family cannot wait that long... I know. The alternative time bomb is the 5/1 and 7/1 ARM.

So to keep on an even keel one would have had to be able to pay off half their outstanding home loan in the time the fed doubled their interest rates. You can see why mortgage debts and credit card debts are rising.

I could see the stock rally lasting to year end, but we'll see. I don't think the lows are in, but am hoping that the lows in gold & silver are behind us.

Might these CPI readings start to dip a little because the comparisons are with months a year ago when the CPI for that particular month was high. I checked the CPI for October, 2021 and it was 6.2% which at the time was the highest reading in 30 years. Fast forward to October, 2022 and the 7.7% increase is based off of the October 2021 reading which itself was high. If I'm looking at it right I would believe the Federal Reserve would take that into account when looking at inflation.

Well Dr. Feel Good, enjoy the weekend after that uplifting commentary. However, Commander Chaos concurs with the dark outlook and doubts the Grizz will be hibernating this winter. The bulk of his evisceratin’ is still on the horizon.

What worries me the most is how the middle class will respond to their economic massacre as described by Bill!

Hi Tim -

HOW the "middle class" responds to their economic massacre is what gives me the most HOPE.

Funny, eh?

"It took generations of hard work to build America’s middle class wealth. It will only take a few years of delusion and incompetence to tear it down."

...and then what? Victorian England? Feudalism? Nazi Germany? Communist China or Cambodia? Global famine? Organized crime and spiritual wickedness in high places? Work farms and factories manned by starving human production units? Suffering on a massive scale?

What good am I then?

I believe, and anticipate that during such times, good middle-class people will keep

• their heads down in quiet prayer and thoughtful, productive pursuits serving their own circles of influence,

• their mouths mainly shut,

• their backs bent in peaceful, patient, intelligent, inspired labor in wisdom and order,

• carefully encouraging others to do the same rather than participate in conflict and violence with a foolish hope to change the trend through force without bringing on the Terrors which seem historically to be the consistent result of armed revolution.

I wish I could be as optimistic! I certainly hope your view of things turns out to be right.

How do you think they will respond that worries you the most.

IMHO, the American people are under lots of stress and anxiety already from what's happening to our country in the last 50 years. The economic massacre described by Bill will significantly increase the stress and anxiety level. Many people will respond with more anger and frustration at the "system"(I see so much of it on social media) and more counterproductive behavior (drug use, apathy, crime for example). Our country will decline even faster than it is now! God, I love this country and hate seeing what is happening to it!

While not the most uplifting reading for a Friday, I think it is an accurate picture of what is happening. Interesting that the argument between Mr. Jefferson and Mr. Hamilton rages on.

BOOM!! I reckon I have to agree with Bill's reckoning. I am 70 and was anticipating retirement just a few months ago. My goal now is to keep my job for as long as they will let me, get to 80 with some sort of physical capability hopefully...and then enjoy a long overdue retirement!!

Maybe by then MAGA will be a reality for my kids and grandkids!
