As it relates to the ruling class manipulating its subjects I fully agree. As it relates to the English invading Ireland and the past 850 years of that history, it is what it is. There are a few more years of history in the Middle East and no matter what you say or think, just as man can not change climate, you will not change what happens in the Middle East. So let us get back to attempting to save the USA. A country led by elites, who feel as if they are the chosen to fix all but their own and fail at everything they touch. Let us stop letting them hide behind wars in other lands and focus on the war we have here at home.

When Bill devolved into his recent antisemitic rants of late, I wondered to myself if it was possible that one of the sources of his hatred came from his Irish heritage and a resultant confusion of the struggles between the English and Irish with the present Israelis and Palestinians. I didn’t opine at that point because I didn’t know enough about Bill besides his Irish last name. I wonder no more. Bill is seriously confusing the two.

The list of differences between the Irish and the Palestinians is VAST. Most importantly, the Irish were not backed up and funded by 1.8 billion English haters to advance their invariant charter to wipe all of England and the English people from the face of the earth.

Bill, you are far more antisemitic than you believe. You are also confused and confusing based on your personal issues, history and problems. I expected better from you.

Dr B -- Your accusation that Bonner hates Jews is getting tiresome.

His assessments of events are not indicative of religious hate. They are poignant observations of man's capacity for virulence.

Consider our history. Atrocities abound. Some were attributable to religious hatred; others were racial hatred; the rest were hate unleashed.

More: I have never understood why people hate Jews or Blacks or Catholics or the Irish for that matter. Totally baffling were German soldiers who worshiped Jesus -- a Jew -- murdering Jews during WW II.

All I can conclude, notwithstanding our many religions all which teach tolerance and peace, we are a species of born killers

Expand full comment

Not that baffling. His fellow jews murdered Him. The present day jews still don't recognize their Messiah. So their hatred of jews is logical, but that doesn't make it right. There were also other reasons for the German hatred of the jews, but that's another story, which you can find on the interwebs, but you'll have to dig deep.

You make my point about our species being imbued with a capacity to hate without restraint and to murder without limit.

Previously dominating the news were daily details about two Slavic tribes -- Russians and Ukrainians -- slaughtering each other

Now, we have Jews and Arabs slaughtering each other.

Not sure what fatal feud will be next but there will be one that will be especially vicious, maybe more than one. It's our nature to kill each other for the littlest of provocations.

Jesus wasn't murdered by Jews. The Vatican said so in the Second Vatican Council in the 1960's and subsequent Popes have said so as well. Furthermore a number of distinguished historians of Jesus have said so as well. It's called libel.

And, Paul didn’t have a letter from the high priest giving permission to kill followers of Jesus. And Paul himself, in his travels, was denounced and beaten by Jews. And probably, many Christians were denounced by Jews to Roman authorities.

When Germany was prostrate, from inflation and financial collapse, because Jews kept hard money, provident behavior we participate in, they improvidently bought people’s lives on the cheap.

I apologize, I didn't know that. I know that a church that murdered millions and millions of Christians, and has a large number of pedophile priests (and covered it up for who-knows-how-long), will certainly tell the truth about who murdered Jesus.

Sure, we are all born killers capable of hatred. That truism aside, it’s face valid to me (and I believe many others) that Bill has directed and displaced a big slice of his own hatred’s into antisemitism which he feels compelled to present in his newsletter. I find that particularly gross, unseemly and unwelcome. If you can’t see it, little would be advanced by my listing all the examples and demonstrating their historic and present role as propaganda points for anti-semites throughout recorded history. Anti-semitism is a bit like pornography - you know it when you see it. When you share it, you will never see it.

Dr B -- When you next see a Bonner remark that reveals his hatred of Jews, point it out. Clearly, you have found this hate expressed more than once.

Although I feel my bias antenna is good and although I suspect you may be extrapolating implied criticism for actual malice, I'll keep an open mind.

Please note that my open mind does not mean I endorse Hamas' murders of innocents. Nor do I endorse Israel's murders of Palestinians.

FYI: The last time I was in Israel was during the Yom Kippur War. Probably before your time

Expand full comment

I fully endorse the Israelis killing (or murdering, whichever you prefer) all of Hamas by the most expedient, violent methods available to them. The loss of life of so called "innocents" in the process is somewhat regrettable but since the Palestinian Charter says the purpose of so called "Palestine" is the eradication of the Jews and the Palestinians have had 70 odd years to make peace with the Israelis and yet they haven't done it I'm not overly concerned with the loss of life in Gaza. Every Hamas fighter that gets killed is wonderful news and any so called "innocents" who lose their life is just tough darts.

Sometimes picking sides and rooting for the home team is the right thing to do. Next up, Israel v Hezbollah so Bill, please don't use that one to make another analogy to make a larger point.

I have no idea why people hate blacks, but I know why Christians and Muslims hate Jews. Both religions have a problem besides both being utterly false. The problem is Towrah, Prophets, and the Psalms. These books teach an opposite message than both religions, and let it be noted to Rabbinical Judaism as well. The Jews with their Towrah knowledge were seen as a threat to the ruling religious elite of Rome and Europe.

Muslims hating Jews is somewhat the same idea, Surah 5:44 Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allāh] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allāh, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price [i.e., worldly gain]. And whoever does not judge by what Allāh has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers.

Distilled into English: Muhammad purchased Talmud verses from the rabbis to flesh out his Quran. Nothing works better for a religion than associating with the God of Abraham. The problem exists in these Rabbis knew Muhammad twisted the verses they sold him, and there's no better way to cancel a debt than murdering the creditors.

The Roman Church as a similar problem, as did the author of Christianity Paul of Tarsus. Yahowah was very clear there is one Towrah for both the Native born and the foreigner. No need for a new covenant or new way into the family of God.

Exodus 12:49 This instruction applies to everyone, whether a native-born Israelite or a foreigner living among you.” The Jews were very familiar with this verse, a good reason to drive them underground.

Dennis T -- Your edification is as elucidating as it is provocative. The latter sensation because it makes clear that all religions are made-made.

Fortunately, all the many religions -- now and in the past -- have at their core the same sentiment; that is, "Do Unto Others What You Would Have Them Do unto You."

Hopefully, the ones certain to be created in the future by persuasive men and women will perpetuate this sensible and perpetually apt belief

(For some reason, after I finished the last sentence above, I had a flash back. It took me to the moment many years ago when I visited a museum in Instanbul. It was somewhere near the Hagia Sofia, aka the Blue Mosque which was once Christendom's second largest cathedral

The particular museum case that caught my attention explained its contents were plundered by the Ottoman Turks in the 14th century from a museum in Damascus. And there, at eye level height, was Mohammad's sword, the very instrument he used to savagely proselytize his new religion).

Expand full comment

The ancient world was a series of thefts, Persian was robbed by the Greeks, the Greeks by Rome. The Byzantines by the Ottoman Muslim Turks, the Ottoman's by Europe, Europe by America. With lots of mayhem and murder along the way, but all in the name of one god or another.

What is lost on the adherents of all religions is the why of religion. Simply put there's no better means to install and support a cast system. The top is always the king, or landowner, followed by the generals, and religious clerics, with the bottom rung of slaves.

The Pope had an army and clerics under him, followed by serfs.

Muslims have their elites the very rich, next the Imams, and mujahideen, all others are slaves.

The God of Abraham instituted no religion, the Covenant is a family. Choosing religion, politics, or the military, puts one outside of the family.

As noted on the first tablet given to Moesh those who show love by listening and living by relying on God are counted in the thousands or one in a million mathematically. Those who show hate corrupt their children via religion even to the third and forth generation, after that time the children's corruption is self sustaining as can be witnessed in all religions. We do what our parents have done for generations, human nature is in taking the easy road, the popular path. This explains how the Arabs were not at all bothered with torturing the children of the Jews while the parents watched and then slit their throats, or burned them alive. It was all done for Allah who is greater, larger, better than every other god.

Me thinks you’re onto something. Irish hatred for the British runs pretty deep. And Not without good reason.

It was the British, once they took over the portions of the Levant, that controlled Mandate Palestine from the early 1920’s till 1948. It was the British who followed through on the Balfour Declaration circa 1915, a prescient document in light of the atrocities of the Third Reich. Perhaps it was a fit of conscience after their attempted genocide of the Irish that moved them to help found the state of Israel.

I don’t know. Just a thought.

The British PM at the time, played fast and loose with the break up of the Ottoman empire. The Arabs were promised the same lands as the French, the Balfour declaration was created to induce the zionists to induce American into WW1 causing the defeat of Germany and Russia. However the the Bolsheviks taking over Russian threw a monkey wrench into the works by publishing the secret dealings of England, the Arabs were not too happy with the same property being promised the French. Moreover the Jews were not to happy finding out the British had promised the Arabs that a declaration had no weight in comparison to a treaty.. The British went on to screw the Zionists out of their homeland. Not to worry the next time the British need the help of the Jews to induce America into WW2 they got their, homeland. Furthermore, the Jewish inventor of artificial silk (Rayon) disclosed the process to the British as a trade for the Jewish homeland. Technically, all the modern problems in the Middle East were caused by the British screwing the Arabs out of what they were promised, Israel was just the straw the broke the camels back. It's not at all about the land, Israel is a nothing compared to the millions of square miles controlled by the Arabs. What the zionists bought from the Arabs was worthless desert. Kind of like buying an old broken down homestead on the southern cost of Ireland. It has no real worth or value until a lot of effort and money is applied, then someone might have some interest.

Dr B, imo Bill is not antisemitic. He aspires to not be “anti” anything. He is a philosophical libertarian and as such dreams of a world in which moral judgments have been outlawed. It takes mental effort to discern between right and wrong, good and evil. Best to just close one’s eyes, cover one’s ears and anesthetize one’s mind so that no effort need be made. Notice, however, that it is impossible to not take sides between good and evil. When one refuses to identify the moral difference between initiatory force and self-defense one raises murder to the level of virtue.

For this administration to give any money to Gaza/Hamas is a mistake. But the truth is, they have already given multiple billions, starting with B.O., to J.B., through Iran. They are funding our own destruction.

From the beginning of time until today there have been wars. Wishing they wouldn't happen is folly. There is a spirit of darkness, and a spirit of light and never shall the two agree. Simply put, there are no modern Islamic countries where any other religion is tolerated. There is zero tolerance. Full stop. You are sadly mistaken. The Jewish population in Iran (as well as every single Muslim country) has been plummeting for decades. The few Jews left in Iran mostly fled (if they could get out) during the Islamic revolution. Jews who lived in Iran were segregated and and discriminated against in every facet of life.

Yes, but the Statists among us like to conflate the two. For example, Bill Bonner didn't say anything derogatory about Jewish people or their religion. Bill didn't praise the Hamas butchers. On the contrary, he called them out for the barbarians they are. However, Bill did criticize the Israeli Governments response; the mass punishment of all Palestinians living in Gaza. For that viewpoint, Bill was labeled an Anti-Semite by the Statists residing on our forum. Nine out of ten people you run into are Statists, but they'll never admit it. However, when you know what to look for they're very easy to find. America will never regain its past glory as long Statolatry remains our national religion.

Embarrassingly simplistic analysis:

- the Jews weren’t “invaders” as Palestine was never a country;

- the Irish didn’t subscribe to an ideology calling for death to all English people; and

- the Irish don’t want to establish a global Irish caliphate!

The christian religion has killed millions so your logic is totally misplaced. Furthermore there is no genocide in Gaza. Israel has always tried to avoid civilian deaths. That is not genocide. Was the bombing of Dresden genocide? Were the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki genocide? You are an obvious anti-semite. Actions speak louder than words. Genocide by Christianity ended relatively recently. Any genocide by Judaism was more than two thousand years ago and you bring it up now. Shame !!!!!

hahaha, 'shame' is a word the hubristic, arrogant, and chutzpahed only project onto others, lacking any self-reflection.

Yes, the exampes presented were genocide !! What do you call murdering innocent people for being in a non-military significant location ??

I'm guessing, you think it is okay, if it is your team committing the atrocities .

More nonsense. Christianity has not killed millions, or even one person. However, COUNTERFEIT christianity has killed millions and millions (50,000,000 for the papal church alone).

Most of Christianity must have been counterfeit then for almost 2,000 years.

Interesting history lesson not sure what it has to do with Israel/Hamas. Any parallel requires a very simplistic view of the Palestinian situation.

One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter, eh?

I have no bone to pick with the Irish.

Empires don’t become empires by playing fair, generally speaking. Savagery prevails and then gets dressed up for the awards ceremony.

At the same time, we all have our opinions as the saying goes. But a person has to decide what’s right and what’s wrong and there are some metrics that are generally accepted.

I don’t care if Bill likes Israel or he likes terrorists, Eamon de Valera or Winston Churchill, take your pick. It won’t change the outcome a bit.

Hamas, who in the opinion of most civilized people, are a bunch of murderous shits, will be wiped off the board. Yes, somebody will surely profit. Don’t care. Arabs will scream. Don’t care. Antisemites will be the trash that they are. Don’t care.

Wipe Hamas out. Should have been done a long time ago.

Have a nice day.

As Bibi specifically said it was in Isn'treal's best interests to aid and abet Hamas, (so as to sideline the PLO two state solution) ... Isn't he a Khazarian zionist, anti-semite too ??

There is one difference between the Irish and the Palestinians. The later have no claim to the land of Israel.

A short primer on the facts; The Promised Land was called the Province of Judea while under Roman occupation in the first century CE. General Hadrian was not a fan of the Jews it was his charge to wipe Jews off the planet. His plan included luring the Jews back with the promise of rebuilding their temple, many fell of the ploy. When they learned the construction was to be a temple honoring Hadrian as a god while converting Jerusalem to a Roman retreat, the Jews staged an unsuccessful revolt. Thousands were executed the rest sold into slavery. Normal ancient stuff.

Now for the rest of the story; the Jewish historian Josephus had previously written 'The History of the Jews' and done so in Latin. Hadrian salted the land, and renamed Judea for the ancient enemy of the Jews or Philistia. Fast forward to the League of Nations mandate to UK linking the Jews to Palestine and part of Jordan. The Philistines as a people had been wiped out long before, the only knowledge such a people existed is found only in the pages of the Towrah. The Philistines as a people originally came to the area today called Gaza, and did so from Crete. To sum up there are no Philistines on the planet, so no Palestinians. The idea of a claim to the land from such a people was cooked up by Anwar Sadat. He wisely figured if such a people could be created out of thin air they'd be able to claim an interest in the land.

These people are run of the mill Jordanian Arabs. Moreover, these same Arabs gave up their citizenship when they fled Israel during the war. Israel won the war and mistakenly invited these back while restoring the Arabs to their previous status.

Israel is its own worst enemy, first by inviting the Arabs back, and then while knowing better allowing the world to believe the Arabs had a claim as Palestinians.

Contrary to what is taught in our universities, most of the land in Israel was bought off the Arabs by wealthy Jews in the 1800's these men were called Zionists attempting to establish a homeland for the Jews of the world. The land purchased was worthless desert, the paradise it has become is solely the result of the efforts of the Jews.

Regardless of what you might believe, Prophecy reveals the last generation will commence when Israel is reestablished in the Land. The end will begin so to speak according to Isaiah when Israel is thinned at the waist Gaza and the West Bank given away would do just that, and Damascus becomes inhabitable, a twisted heap of ruins. Just a note, Damascus is the longest continuously occupied city in history.

There is more, even yet, "to the story." It was Khazarians, who now genocide Palestinians, that financed Cromwell's 1649-1653+ genocide of Ireland. Correspondence between Cromwell and Ebeneezer Pratt of the Mullheim Synagogue includes the quid pro quo - the right of the Khazarians to return to England - which was achieved.

Also; the 1845-1850 "potato famine" was successful propaganda. It concealed a vast crime that saw the deployment into Ireland of more than half (67 regiments) of Britain's 126-regiment empire army. Cecil Woodham-Smith, (CWS) in her 1962 "The Great Hunger" named thirteen British regiments who had removed Ireland's abundant food crops in those years. "Ireland's" academics smeared her for the rest of her life. A few decades ago, to learn something about my Laois-born grandfather (1839-1923, a British soldier 1857-1881 in Aus., NZ, and India), I visited Britain's then-Public Record Office, in Kew. There, I promptly learned that his 40th of Foot "the Duke of Somerset's Own," had, when he was a small boy, removed the food from south Co. Galway to the port for export. Shocked, despite having read CWS's work, I researched further and put my findings into a pamphlet (The Mass Graves of Ireland). The pamphlet; despite its vast distribution, failed to silence the "famine" writers, so a few years ago I published "Ireland 1845-1850: the Perfect Holocaust, and Who Kept it 'Perfect'." It's on Amazon, etc. and is available gratis as an eBook at irishholocaust.org. The "Irish" gov't's State-owned Radio Telefis Eireann's Radio One conducted a smear "interview" of me; but my book's 4th Ireland edition sold out within weeks.

"Ireland's" gov't is entirely silent on the Gaza genocide excepting three courageous politicians who DO represent the people; Richard Deputy Boyd-Barrett, and MEPs Clare Daly and Mick Wallace. (BTW: "Holocaust" was the 1800s label used by Michael Davitt, James Fitzgerald and others. Also; starting on May 4, 1846 and continuing until November 19, 1855 conditions in Ireland were reported as "Holocaust" in the pages of The Cork (now Irish) Examiner newspaper.)

My grandfather Kieran Fogarty's parents and siblings had been evicted from their Ballykealy, Durrow farm tenancy in 1836 by English Lord Ashbrook (Henry Flowers). The tenancy was part of that Lord's 19,515- acre estate granted by Oliver Cromwell after being robbed from the local Irish. Estate Rules at the time forbade anyone to shelter an evicted family on penalty of summary evicted. Kieran was born in the emergency shelter his parents were allowed to build beside the Lord's gallows uphill of the Lord's castle gates. It is my understanding that Kieran and siblings survived the 1845-1850 Holocaust. In 1857 Kieran, to keep his sisters alive, went to Abbeyleix where he "took the Queen's shilling" (joined the British army). Later, his sister (my Grandaunt) Sara "Sally" collapsed and died between home and the Durrow, Co. Laois Post Office where Kieran's army pay would arrive.

Upon mustering out in 1881 with a pension of 3pounds 7shillings and 6 pence per quarter year, Kieran married a woman with a small tenancy and had nine children. My father, the last, was born in 1904 when his father was 65. In 1927, after Kieran died, Dad came to Chicago, met my Co. Galway mother and had a family. His two older brothers had been in WW!. One was killed in France crossing the Hindenberg Line, on Aug. 25, 1918. Thanks, Starboard Edge, for your interest.

Frankly, it getting embarrassing for me to correspond with manic antisemitic lunatics like yourself on this site. Your ignorance is galactic in scope. I hope that Bill (if he believes his posts aren’t antisemitic) will at least reflect on the quality of persons and responses attracted to his missives and wonder why they would be supported by persons like yourself.
