I really love reading Bill's stories of the ranch and life in the valley. I have read the article and all of the comments. I don't have a great solution but I can tell that if Bill leaves the people there will be worse off. They seem to want something for nothing. They will not pull themselves up by their boot straps and work to better their lives. I hope Bill doesn't leave. He is the best thing that they have.

Yes Robert, if Bill leaves, his entire farm staff will end up at our border within a few months, and end up enjoying the life those who chased them out fight for….the Originarios must be dumber then ours here in the states….

I don’t even think it’s about the Ukraine for Putin, or I should say the seizure and control is secondary. I think he, along with other leaders wishing to remain in the shadows, has a greater ambition to unseat America as the leading economic power. At the very least I believe there to be a desire to diminish the dollar. I do realize I may be way off, but I would have thought he could easily overpower the Ukrainians with air power and he doesn’t. The fact that he doesn’t seems telling to me. This to me seems to be large scale show of cat and mouse, and he is trying to force our hand in this grotesque reality show of war. Seizing Ukraine is part of the plan but more to manipulate and distract.

...and I could be completely wrong.

To me Putin seems to regard human capital as of little value or at least easily expendable. In one hand Putin has a sledgehammer over Ukraine to distract and in the other hand a surgeons scalpel pointed at American wishing he could gut us.

Yes Bill, Elections have consequences and we all have to wait until the falsely elected scammers are thrown out, assassinated, die of old age, or finish their time in peace.

I doubt the Ukrainians were dumb enough to vote in a globalist stooge, as America was dumb enough to eccept a false election, placing another globalist stooge in power of the so called "free world"....

My belief is for my God, Family and Country Only. Let Russia take Ukraine. Let China take Taiwan. Let Mexico take California(already happened if you haven't noticed the third world shithole it has become). In the end, life will work out, once these demented showmen go along into their predetermined, prepaid futures.

It's all a reality tv show, and the actors are really terrible in their selected parts, but the sweet public continue to watch, regardless of how bad the show really is. For it entertains the simple minded.

Some of us sit in our armchairs, screaming at the boobtube, demanding our non-elected stooges send our young off to die for their own personal rage, insanity and ignorance, others get up and shut it off.

Yes, it will all end one day soon. The dear public will tire of the show, ratings will drop, and off the entertainers will go on to their next flop. We can only pray that the majority of us shut it off, but until then....The Show Must Go On....

Don't disgrace Mexico like that! It's the land of the free and home of the brave now.

I really enjoy visiting Mexico -- no COVID test required to enter. No silly rules and regulations. Gorgeous countryside and beautiful beaches.

When you juxtapose the "originarios" and the parasites in this country you have a perfect match.

One would think that with Bill "owning" the land and improving it, those people living around it would be happy and fortunate to have him there. He is providing jobs, technical improvements in areas such a power, water, and even transportation and health. Seems like they wouldn't want to kill the golden goose. Then again the idiots in power will see all that and try to tax it now.

Dear Jefe Bonner,

I think you are doing wonderful work at the ranch. You are very generous and gracious taking care of the "good ones" and the "bad ones". and Xavier Narutowicz's comment is spot on. It is "an adventure."

However, I think Jimm Roberts' "Recognized Residents" idea has some merit. You should talk more with Originarios or have a beer with them and present the idea. Meet them as often as you can. Even if they don't buy the idea, at least they will know that you have good intentions.

“if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12: 20-21

I too have thouroughly enjoyed reading about your experiences on your ranch in S. America. I don't know how you do it, Baltimore and now this. I assume you live far out of Baltimore and only have to worry when within the city limits. I also enjoy reading about your Ireland hut and I suggest you make that home. I think it is only a matter of time before they work up the courage to outright attack the household.

I think you may be the target of state assisted actors in a "unholy brew of sentiments." Recently Amy Wax, a law professor at the University of Pennsylvania, said, regarding Western achievements, work ethic, and values conjoined with the recent BLM destruction and anti-white agit-prop ""Leaving aside American Blacks, who I think do feel that resentment and shame and envy. I mean it is this unholy brew of sentiments."

This is just matter of fact. Dump the ranch before they dump you.

I think I’m starting to understand. To some, Putin is simply an “originario”. I wonder what the Russian translation is.

How will this all turn out?

I bet you one million dollars that Russia overtakes Ukraine, and Ukraine becomes part of Russia, or under the complete control of the Russian Government, and The Soviet Union renames and calls itself to “The New USSR”, from henceforth.

If I lose this bet, then I will either default due to sanctions, or I will gladly pay you in Russian Rubles. 😂

I've been following your adventures in Argentina for years. There are some good thoughts below. All I can say is I feel your pain.

Silence is acceptance but you will lose if you confront your freeloaders. And, if you accommodate them in some manner, you will attract more.

Maybe you can co-opt them by issuing them a large, lawyer-prepared fancy piece of paper with ribbons. Title it "Recognized Resident." Make clear there are only a finite number of these documents and no more.

The paper does not convey ownership; it simply allows you to recognize them as residents and allows them to seek your assistance.

The paper will, as the title makes clear, recognize the reality that your freeloaders are on your property regardless the name they use to rationalize their theft

But the document can also establish parameters. For example, it has to be renewed every five years and it cites standards of conduct any breach of which, hopefully, will give you a leg up on punishing violators in some capacity up to and including asking the local authorities to remove any signatory or family member whose conduct has crossed the line.

The key is to get the local authorities to support your initiative capping the number of interlopers on your property and requiring them to comport themselves responsibly which, if effect, recognizes you as El Jaffe

You are not recognizing their phony claims or Indian heritage; just that they are in the area of which you are the recognized Patron

Finally, if you don't now have some local police on a retainer "to give advice and periodic help", then now's the time

Your respondents act like the Originarios story is something new; how innocent we citizens of the US have become. There is a simple solution, get into the pocket of the local politicians. What’s the problem? In the 1950’s, there are eye witness accounts of Washington DC police captains in full uniform walking into bars, holding out their hands and getting cash payments. It is the way of life in Mexico and many, if not all, south and Central American countries. It is probably why the originario laws are like they aren’t: so the patriarchy has to pay for protection. And us Americans will be so abhorred! What the heck, back in the 1980’s, the then Arizona US Representative purchased land destined for the central Arizona Walter canal, then resold it to the state several months thereafter making millions in profit, and what did the Arizona voters do, re-elected him. And there weren’t payoffs involved? So Bill, just make sure the payoffs don’t go to an enemy of the US Federal government or you will find yourself excommunicated.

So what'll it be Bill? Are you going to sell out to some other 'furriner' and let him contend with the originarios, or are you going to go down with the ship? Too late for what's her name's cancer tumor, but when the next charter member of them comes to you for help, are you going to tell them to see if their brethren or cistern in the originarios can help?

I missed the beginning, what part of California is this. Just kidding, 10 years to early for that

Bill, The rise of the "originations" is also alive and well in other countries eg New Zealand where the Maori are claiming special privileges and rights. And being well aided by Jacinda Arden - don't believe all you read about her - and her "woke" Labour Government. A very slippery slope.

Los Originalios sound like the deadbeat, thieving tenants in Chicagp who are untouchable under the law as they steal, cheat, lie and destroy property, thanks to corrupt socialist politicians.
