Dear Mr Micoletos

When the bridge or building is demolished not only is it ‘not’ subtracted from GDP ... the actually cost of demolishing - the labour, the equipment hire, the explosives, the dumping costs etc are actually all ‘added’ to the GDP.

And, that’s before we take into account the opportunity cost forgone of all the inputs. Bill is right the figures mean nothing and GDP may as well stand for the Great Dubious Process of accounting for the unaccountable.

When the going gets stupid... the stupid get going!!

Agreed. And related from Hunter S. Thompson: When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

I also suggest to build a bridge over the river before someone suffers a serious accident. Safe and reliable access is a necessity for any property.

No bridge over the river. It will make it easier for the riffraff to get to your Bolt Hole. J. S.! Fla. Jim.

I believe you talk about stock market activity not creating any value. Maybe not real value compared to the price of gold but still value that you can capture. You can sell, realize the gain and then use that gain to buy something of value. Like gold. Hasn’t value been created?

BullyBully Mr. Pirrung.

And let's have some CONCRETE, ACTIONABLE answers from the boys. If any such exist.

Bill, during the last year I think you wrote about how you would manage the country's finances. Where can I find that?

Glad to see you're back at the Ranch. Why don't you let Joel, Tom, and Dyson take care of the Financial BS; of course, with additional prose from you. Then you can give us a blow by blow about the Real War or temporary Truce with the ORIGINARIOS.

The War between Russia and Ukraine will continue until Russia expends all their deteriorating weapons and the West gets rid of theirs. Everything has a Shelf Life. By using them, it saves the cost of dismantling them The Military/Industrial Complex is already building more and better Weapon Systems. Just saying! Florida Jimmy

Maybe Bill wants it this way for some reason. A barrier against the outside world?

XLNT advice from Owl. Amen and Amen.

The Wise Old Owl might also say, "Don't mistake inactivity for Laziness." Just saying! Fla. Jimmy.
