15 minutes to the next govt handout office. 15 minutes to get your next allotted payment from the master party who employs all the voters that keep them in power. 15 minutes to the subsidized job, subsidized apartments, subsidized benefit line. But the benefit line will be much longer than 15 minutes because the govt workforce doesn’t give a f-ck about anybody else.

Dems have stuffed the major cities with so many govt workers that must support their employers with votes. there will never be govt institutions laying off voters. The grift will continue and our masters will revel in certitude and ensure once we all live in those cities we will be 15 minutes from each others throats.

Amen. Pass the ammunition.

Ask around about the ULEZ whilst you're in London; being imposed on the City & surrounding area's by the corrupt leftist idealogue mayor Sadiq Khan. Drivers of vehicles which don't meet a certain environmental criteria must pay a fee each day for using the vehicle. So those who do the real work in London will have to upgrade their vans at a huge cost, or pay a fee to Khan. All under the guise of the fabricated climate emergency, & backed by evidence from Imperial College London - the same bought & paid for institution which released the absurd covid modelling which backed up the lockdowns. Of course, anyone who opposes the scam is a climate denier, anti-vaxxer, fascist, or what ever else the establishment broadcaster the BBC can come up with.

You can judge a city by its neighborhoods. In Philadelphia there are pockets of community activity, mostly unsupported by the government. People stick together and try to self police. The rest of the city is filled with neighborhoods were no one wants to know their neighbor.

My little corner of Philadelphia where my business has been located for over 40 years was governed by a local mafia fellow. His simple rule; If you didn't follow his rules something might happen, and that would not be good. Really a great system, a young fellow like myself paid cash for a building wherein the former owner did not listen to or follow Pete's Valentines rules. As a young fellow from the suburbs Pete took me under his wing and explained how things would be. We flourished Pete kept the City inspectors away while without permits we renovated the building top to bottom. Part of the renovation included increasing the warehouse garage door to a 10x10 opening. This required leaving the front of the building open over a weekend, and yet not a single criminal entered our building to loot our tools.

What did Pete ask in return for this protection? Nothing just follow the rules, and make the neighborhood safer and better. With his blessing I started to buy up all the rental housing within two blocks of our business location. All was renovated to a high degree, and rented to tenants he supplied and approved. We created a neighborhood, an island oasis in what was a deteriorating neighborhood.

Litter, abandoned cars, theft, vandalism, all disappeared. Then one day crime started to invade our hood, the youth did not follow the rules, but there was something different even Pete could not control. The mayor's office could not stomach any one group acting independent of the government.

The judicial system turned on old Pete, they arrested him for running a numbers business in the local tavern. Without Pete the tavern came under attack by drug dealers who wanted to set up shop.

Pete had enough and moved out, before leaving his advice: It might be time to sell all and move back to the suburbs. He was early, it took 10 years for the area to deteriorate to the point where there is no longer a neighborhood. Wisely I sold all of my apartments to a hedge fund, and the houses to investors and one foolish owner occupant. Our little street now sports 6 abandoned cars, most of the housing is owned by absentee landlords from NY who allow the properties to deteriorate sucking every penny our of the rentals. Do I care? Not in the least, in fact our street has become a sort of dumping ground for construction debris and mattresses. I'm for giving the people what they want, and besides owning and parking a car on the street overnight has become quite costly from roving vandals. I paid $55k cash for my warehouse, and was offered $600k by a local business tired of having their vehicles stripped of fuel and catalytic converters. My shop is pretty well fortified, it would take more work than the local hoodlums feel is worthwhile to break in.

The best part about Philly the government regulation of small business has become so onerous folks like myself have decided to flip them off. I recently let my business license lapse, who needs permits? Yes, it illegal to work as a contractor in the city if unlicensed, but there's no one running the show at city hall to prosecute or catch unlicensed contractors. Moreover, we've shifted our business activities requiring permits to the suburbs simply following former city folks out to the suburbs. Next year I'm going to sell my shop, and watch from the suburbs as the city circles the drain. I found out last summer Pete moved to the suburbs, and has recently passed on.

What all these Progressive cities lack is a private mafia, the government destroyed the mafia because they don't like competition.

Loved your post Mr. T.

These are the anecdotes from the real-world winners on this stack that keep me coming back.

Well, youse guys plus Bill and the boys... (Am I saying that right??)

Yes, in Philly the plural of 'You' is Youse guys. Although of late with the constant attack on the Police along with our Soros funded DA Larry Krasner we in the suburbs went from Philthadelphia to Killadelphia. Overall the voters seem to like those they vote into office. We're at 51% illiteracy rate, the murder rate has doubled, and keeping a Catalytic converter in one's car is a challenge. The FBI just busted a crime ring buying stolen Catalytic converters for some reason it took a year to move in while the gang was estimated to having stolen 75,000 or 8 million dollars worth.

Cities have moved from supporting the productive, to robbing the productive and rewarding the unproductive. On a recent house sale the tenant recieved a free attorney who informed me he'd do everything in his power to blow the sale so the tenant could remain. My reply good work the buyer is a single mother from one of my other homes who scrimped and saved to buy this house, additionally I'm providing a second mortgage for $10k wherein she makes no payments for a year. Sir, who else is this woman going to find selling a house with these terms? The attorney admitted his charge is not to help home buyers but perpetual tenants

As a means to get even besides executing a judgement for the 8 months of unpaid rent. I sold the house at a large discount to an orthodox Muslim fellow from Pakistan. Not only will the house be falling down around the tenants ears but the rent will go up ever 4 months. The new landlord was only interested in signing a new month to month lease while raising the rent $300 a month.

I have to hand it to the government in FL, one of my friend's ex brother in law (they are friendly) is the largest low income housing provider in your State. 20 years ago I accompanied him to an eviction for nonpayment of rent. I was 2 days before Christmas, the tenant was from NY and had it in his mind paying rent was optional as it is in NY I suppose. In FL the court did not see it his way and in two weeks the landlord completed an eviction and was granted possession (5 months in Philly if all goes well an it rarely does). The landlord with a crew with the Sheriff in tow, popped the lock set out of the knob and promptly started throwing the tenants things out the window into a bin. The tenant whined about robbing his children of their Christmas. The landlord quipped back a new tenant is moving into the unit in 2 hours just in time to celebrate Christmas with their children.

I don't know if it's still like this in FL, but if Philly had gone this route there'd never be an abandoned house or housing shortage in general. I sold the apartment units when the City made the landlord responsible for the tenants bedbugs allowing the tenant to suspend rent until a professional eradicated the bugs. The average cost is $3000 if the tenant cooperate and they have no reason to do so. Philly low income rentals are being carved up between large entities, and NY and Philly slumlords who ignore all the licensing and rules.

I just completed a 1031 exchange on a property grossing $120k a year at a cap rate of 10 that's a 1.2 million dollar property. The place is in terrible condition I paid $350k in cash, all income will be plowed into repairs for at least 2 years. The suburban township the property is located along with all the neighbors are very supportive finally someone is fixing up this historical Victorian mansion. What a difference investing in the suburbs has been, small-town USA want's investors, while Philly welcomes in vestors who provide bribes and fund elections.

You have to admire Bill, in spite of his significant wealth, for continuing to experience what regular folk experience, even into his seventies (eighties at some point, hopefully?). His attitude seems to be that if he’s going to comment about, and analyze, major issues facing the U.S. and the world in a M-F blog, he should at least experience a good bit of a regular person’s life from ground level, rather than observing it from thirty-thousand feet in a private jet. And when at ground level, NOT from luxury SUVs driven by bodyguard-like drivers between his offices/estates and private airfields, isolated from the masses. And thus when in his offices/estates, NOT learning about the world STRICTLY via executive summaries supplied by his lieutenants. (I realize some cynical subscribers will say: “Ah, no, Frank, he’s just a cheapskate.” He’s just too well informed, in my opinion, for me to buy that.)

They must be starting to panic and about the depopulation part of the plan. It really does need to come first you know. Nothing else can really get done until the vermin are exterminated. Take 15 minute cities as just one example. They aren’t for all of us because, well, there won’t be, can’t be, enough of them. Need to clear the decks first, and then they can do a proper and orderly job of building 15 minute cities for the Residual Class, the slave labourers who will keep their jets flying and their meals coming.

This is looking like a big problem. No one told them that they have to ride the bicycle while they fix it. It’s a big and a gnarly problem. It’s looking like they need better planners.

Many years ago when I visited Paris, we had such excellent Classical cuisine in every restaurant we dined in, and all had a better French Onion soup than any I had in the states. Last visit a few years ago was such a disappointment, in everything we dined on, including the worst onion soups I have ever experienced. The loss of true French culture is so sad and evident. Just as we witness in all globalists controlled nations. I’m sure the next visit, if they will allow a non vaccinated human, will be a Global Onion Soup made with an insect stock and topped with vegan cheese 😋 at least the bugs will be non GMO, unlike the dumbest nation on earth, america…

Trump, for nothing else should be incarcerated just for the 1-6 debacle. Forget all the lies he continues to make...when they were fact checked it was over 30 K over 4 years. This research was done by the Washington Post. But, I'm sure you don't like that News Paper. Oh well. Talking about "loser team" that applies to Trump. By the way, listen again to the telephone conversation between Trump and Brad Raffensperger: Trump asked," Can you FIND 11,780 votes"? Raffensperger turned him down. All their votes had been counted. This was televised for all to see. Deny, deny and deny...get your facts straight.
