Thanks, Bill. I carefully read your update. I thought of an alternative to why we have inflation as we have it today. And I've heard many reasonable explanations for the inflation all of us are experiencing; we in the US might have it the worst. I might be oversimplifying it but here it is, nevertheless. The elites, or as I like to refer to them, the DC oligarchy, want to maintain their power. Power gives them control. And how can they fix global warming without control? This is why now I'm hearing that several states and possibly the feds are proposing more fiscal stimulus. That's my two cents. Cheers!

"You might think that a democracy would undertake programs designed to help the majority of its citizens."

As I understand it, when Aristotle named democrateia, there were over 100 demos in Athens. A demo/dema was a "neighborhood." He called democrateia the "perversion" of popularly elected government. Democratie, as the French still call it, is designed NOT to help the majority of its citizens, but some neighborhoods at the expense of the others. Democracy is legitimized civil war, designed to do exactly what it is doing now. It works every time.

For the record, politeia was named/designed to help the majority of its citizens. I suppose that the word politics has been corrupted in order to confuse discussion.

That's how it looks from the rock this croaking frog is sitting on.

Are the “Government I Series Bonds” somewhat safe in your opinion compared to Bonds in general?

Bill, most of the time you are SPOT ON, however, you must understand the dumbing down of America for the past forty plus years has been about globizing, and you can not rpt not have a one world with a strong U.S.A., therefore picking on any lefty in office at any level, city, county,

state, or the the upper, is not gaining any effort, only helping the enemy win the votes of the masses, which I might add is the result of the "dumbing down of ANERICA" for the past forty five years. So stop picking on individuals and go for the real asses, the globing seeking, power

hungry, elicit. Ralph Wood---- If I need to send you more $$$, please let me know.

Bill, I congratulate you for seeing the merits of my earlier posts. Now, let's try and not be too conspiratorial. No one gives a flying damn about Chelsia or Hunter or any of the other supposed "influencers". The most important things right at this moment is one, for the Feds to balance the budget and two, to insure that main street income keeps pace with currency devaluation. If that could be secured the government and the consumer could retire the enormous debt load that is held with dollars that have lost value, not all value but, perhaps, 30 to 50 percent. We've already done that much without consequence so do it again with a balanced budget and we may be able to put the house in order within 20 or 30 years, a reasonable time frame. Investing in this climate is not so tricky, just look for things that reliably track inflation, rents track, commodities track, real companies making real products if they aren't overvalued track, things like that I would believe.

I believe that knowing who you can trust is essential to finding peace in this world. I turned off the news going on 40 years ago now, and consider it one of the 3 best decisions I ever made - so I knew nothing about those kids. A bit of internet "research" found that what I thought was a "$50K per month" misprint was true. I was struck with the confirmation that our major media is owned by the "elite" class, or "demagogue class," speakers for their own demas (using Aristote's definition.)
