Bill must be in the drivers seat regularly, when the vehicle is in neutral, he plants his foot on the gas pedal.

The thrill is watching the tachometer going into RED zone, coming back down, plant foot again...

Hmmmmmm? Since it’s unlawful to imbibe copious tequila and drive, your neutral and red zone tachometer idea may be the trick?

You just have to tune into any one of the hundreds of TV series on Netflix, to understand that war is at the very core of humanity.

While prostitution was likely one of the first vocations, fighting, killing and war is very likely man's oldest profession.

If we haven't been sinking our spears into something we could eat, we've been thrusting it into the belly of someone who might steal that food from us. Or threaten to do so, in the future.

The only change from prehistoric times, until now, has been why we've been killing our neighbors. In the past it was for tangibles. A deer. A mineshaft. A source of fresh water.

Now it's for a line on a map, that encompasses all of that. And more.

Hopefully, we can change our ways before it's too late.

Luke, based on these highlights and Bill’s selection of evidence, we are 8 Billion and increasing, inhabitants in various locations, at varying standards of living or poverty, technical competence, philosophies or civil/uncivil administrations, moving ahead, staying static or for many just keeping alive.

No, based on your combined contributions, actually everyone of us is fundamentally a warring Barbarian in heart & mind, kill or be killed.

Why do we ever breed and have families?

Surely it’s not just the desire for sexual satisfaction and incidental arrivals before a year is out, or is it for more killers to be able to survive tomorrow?

Cannot help but consider, that there are many aspects of day to day life, from cavemen to this day and our various views of yesterday, today, tomorrow and beyond, that have been overlooked.

If one chooses to seek out aspect of human life longevity, art, poetry, beauty in nature and life there are still upsides.

QED is it all really just so philosophically & categorically catastrophic?

Not for a few naive optimists, still alive and kicking a bit !

The reason for war is the lack of unconditional love. If we all had it, we'd find peaceful ways of sorting issues out. And advance exponentially as a species.

Those of us that have it, get it and understand it, find better ways of solving conflict.

Those that don't, simply take by force, that which they desire.

Not that they need those things. They simply want them.

Not too many wars have been fought for "need." Usually, it's too late by then (population has either starved or left the camp).

“China is the world’s greatest success story” 🤔 not really Bill. There seemed to be an active evil in the west, to build up a known enemy of true capitalism and freedom. Those forces are what have destroyed the short lived, but once great empire of democracy. And it all started from within our borders, from enemies within. Yes Bill, a great success story for sure, for those communist sympathizers who believe in the powers of man over God. As mankind has witnessed in the past, history will surely repeat, and God or nature, or whatever you want to call the power, will come to clean up it’s natural occurring mess. As we witnessed yesterday, an elected official AOC in NY, screaming at her standing president for putting up a fake wall, to stop the insanity of an attack on our country. It shows when a corrupt people, elect corrupt communists leaders, we have a nation of corruption...and it also shows that you can’t fix stupid 🤔

Two major points

1. We are a mean and incorrigibly vicious species + there are waaaay too many of us on this planet

2. Russia has already lost its war with Ukraine.

Regardless what portion of Ukraine, if any, that it keeps, it has created with Ukraine such a profound and enduring reservoir of hatred that it will be many generations before there is any comity between these two Slavic tribes.

Long after their two armies stop attacking each other, I suspect it will become a rite of passage for young Ukrainians to kill a Russian.

They will do so in very much the same spirit as the American frontiersman refrain, "The only good Indian is a dead Indian."

It wasn't that way in the beginning. Adam and Eve were vegans, and none of the animals ate other animals; the lion ate grass, for instance. It will be that way once again, and could be now, for those that choose it. (Yes, even lions. Look up Little Tyke, the vegetarian lion.) So why did God allow man to eat animals after the Flood? For a while, there were no green things growing. The other reason has to do with the plan of salvation. After the Flood, man's life span decreased drastically over several hundred years. Can you imagine a Hitler or Roosevelt or Stalin living for several hundred years? Their wars would decimate the earth, and the plan of salvation could not be carried out.

Before humans arrived on the scene, the animal world got on just fine.

The population of different species varied, as the climate changed over time, as did the range of animal species.

It is not likely that humans will be around much longer as we have not evolved beyond a basic mindset.

The past few years have shown that we will turn on each other when resources become scarce.

Enjoy the life you have now, and respect the natural world around you.

I appreciate your concern for the animals. I'm sure that is your primary motive as you eat them. But I was thinking more about the health aspects of being a vegan or even a vegetarian, not the animal welfare issue. It's for each to decide what to eat. Except cannibalism, I absolutely draw the line there.

Expand full comment
Invector's avatar

You can put the snark aside, Alex. I eat them because they are an excellent source of protein and they generally taste good. As to the health aspects of being vegan or vegetarian I don't buy it, nor would my eating habits change even if I did. I eat what I enjoy eating and my culinary choices are based upon that and nothing else.

My concern for animals is based upon a lifetime of wildlife management experience. Other than hunting there is no other realistic tool for keeping animals and their habitats thriving and healthy. That may upset those who grew up watching Bambi, the Lion King, and other anthropomorphic drivel, but it is nevertheless a fact.

"As to the health aspects of being vegan or vegetarian I don't buy it, nor would my eating habits change even if I did."

I appreciate your honesty. It's rare to meet an honest close-minded individual. Most people eat what they do because it tastes good to them, which is why americans are so unhealthy. I sincerely support their right to eat as they wish, and experience the consequences of their choices. I only merely suggest a better way.

As to your second point, I will note in passing that throughout most of man's history, animals did not need to be managed. Yes, I know, we killed most of the predators off. The animals belong to God, let Him take care of them.

You assume too much. I am lean, fit, and in excellent physical health. Other than a motorcycle accident 15 years ago which laid me up for 6 months I haven't been to a doctor in 40 years. I have zero underlying health problems, so apparently my diet isn't that unhealthy.

As for God taking care of His animals I believe He gave us dominion over them and that we'll answer to Him for how we treat them. And I'm comfortable with that.

But the Ukrainian Nazis bombed them, killed them, and terrorized them ever since the CIA color coupe in 2014 that installed the puppet Zolinski.

Russia invaded as a humanitarian mission to stop the Nazis from killing and murdering the Russians in east of Ukraine.

Wrong. Like it or not and get as grumpy as you want. You are wrong.

Putin went so far as to draw up and propose a Peace deal (with excellent terms for all sides) about 90 days into the Special Operation. The whole thing was torpedoed by our "State" department (headed by treasonous domestic enemies Nuland and Blinken), and a visit to Z by Boris Johnson. Fat Boris let the pervert know in unambiguous language that the "west" would not stand for Peace breaking out in any way. This is all verified information Donald.

Putin tried for YEARS (post-2014) to get the west to listen to his very reasonable demands. I'm not going to list them, though I have before on these boards. I'd say do your own research but I know you won't because the last thing you want at your grouchy old age is to realize that you are wrong. So keep going the way you are - supporting true evil and pissing away our tax dollars.

PS - I have ZERO love for Putin or Russia. But conversely, I am beyond sick and tired of ignorant and/or STUPID Americans supporting the lies they are being fed because they are too lazy to look at the Truth...

Bill, get your hands on a copy of Larry Abraham's tome ' The Greening', (late 80s early 90s) According to Larry's research and analysis; The 'Report From Iron Mountain', was supposedly authorized under Kennedy's admin. (as, at that time there were rumours of possible breakout of world peace) and was a study to determine what (w)could replace the social and economic benefits (Cui Bono ... gov't's reason for existence) derived from physical, arms, shooting, bombs, depop wars.

The study concluded that; only something on the level of a wasteful, monetary depleting, unwinable, unnecessary, unending, and total 'mierda de toro' issue, ... like a undefinable, ambiguous, and via censorship canceling deplatforming unquestionable, 'War on Climate' (whatever the required iterations of) would meet the previously outlined bullet points of the assigned parameter issues, that war accomplishes in the historical social/economic benefits derived.

I do not recall the exact number of issues identified in setting the study's parameters ... but, the only possible scenerio that met the most of those assigned parameters, was a never ending, easily propagandanized (controled, legacy media's, 'prevailing social narrative'/'predictive programming'/'normalcy bias')

war on ... 'Climate' !!!

Those 'experts' (Friedman types), pipesmoking, buffoons, and skallywags involved ... might have been studied, and

knowledgeable in the precepts of the 'Protocols'.

No se, quien sabe ??
