Does anyone remember: Did Nixon say decoupling the dollar from gold was temporary?

Irwin Schiff, father of Peter Schiff, spoke to Congress in the late 60s, and told them to revalue 1 oz. gold to $105, or they would have to default. They chose to default.

Irwin Schiff also compared changing the value of the dollar to this example: a town passes a law to tax every house 18' tall or higher. Most houses are only 16', so they are glad to soak it to the rich. The town then changes the size of a foot to 10". Now everyone's house is 18' high, and everyone gets taxed.

Changing the value of the dollar is as chaotic as changing the length of a foot, or changing an hour to 55 minutes...or 65. And as corrupt, or more.

The USA crossed the Rubicon last night. You all will remember this just as you remember the Kennedy assassination and Elvis' death on the toilet. You will remember when you heard it, what you were doing, and your reaction to it. From here on, no matter what happens, you will never be able to see "America" in the same light as before; the beautiful illusion is now laid bare for all to see. What "can't happen here" just did happen here. And when they throw the nets on him and prepare to haul him off to the hoosegow, he will bellow, "Take your filthy hands off me, you damned, dirty ape!" Best always. PM

The real problem with the ‘switcheroo’ was that it enabled the boom and bust cycle to last much much longer than it would otherwise have under a gold standard. That is every 10 years there was a recession of sorts and lessons were learnt. The switch on the other hand allowed governments to ‘kick the can’ down the road for far too long resulting in a generation of useful idiots who believe there are no limits. From this generation will come future leaders!!

I appreciate tying God challenging us through the priest’s words you so kindly shared with us and the thought that time is represented by money and interest represents the history of value. This nicely connects ethics and money back to God’s authority. Disregard His authority and we do pay the price, whether personally or as a nation or as humankind. Isn’t it fascinating Israel has this huge field of natural gas now, and they and the Saudi’s are negotiating on an agreement that might relinquish the Wasq control of the Temple Mount? All while Country Garden failure to make interest payments, threatening the Chinese economy and possibly with far reaching effects? And, the US has provided Ukraine military with over 2 million 155mm artillery rounds? Could that be where US economic production is looking good? Feeding war?

Simply stated, the internet has transformed man to the status of a God. One that can know everything by punching a few keys or just asking for the answer. The power to always be able to derive an answer equates power.

Gone are the encyclopedias, text books, even tech manuals give sway to YouTube. In religion the inmates are running the asylum as the old saying goes. Removing the denominational names from the church names. Our church has removed the word Methodist and inserted Hills in its place. Maybe the answer to our many problems can be found in a very simple command found in Genesis 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Could todays internet, mythically be the Bible's tree of good and evil?

Without religion the clerics would have to work for a living. The RCC owns trillions of dollars worth of assets all while taking a vow of poverty.

Number one narrative within the Torah, Prophets, and Psalms; God hates religion, stop whoring in religion and come back to your God. Isaiah why spend money on things of no value. Read Isaiah 57 and get back to me on God and religion.

On the first tablet given Moseh: Those who live by My prescriptions for living show love and will be shown mercy. Those who show hate, corrupt their children to the 3rd and 4th generation with religion.

Not a single god, of which there are many current and past, created a religion. Nor did any write a single word of the many religious texts frequently quoted to justify actions.

Man wrote every word explaining a god and how it wanted its believers to comport themselves. The most recent religion was created in the 19th century in upstate New York. It's now known as the Church of Latter Day Saints

We are in agreement up to a point, the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob the same who gifted His Torah to Moseh is the Creator of all things.

The proof is all around us, science has proved the universe is so fine tuned the slightest variation would cause the entire universe to self destruct. Science has also learned 96% of the energy in the universe is dark energy that cannot be seen or measured. Our advanced scientific community has not as yet figure out how gravity works, just that it exists.

Science until the turn of the 19 century believe the universe and this planet were eternal having no start date. Moseh a goat herder claimed a God named Yahowah, dictated 6 books or Torah. Within these books this goat herder told a story of the creation of the earth and all life on it. Science is not in agreement the earth had a starting date and named it the Big Bang. In the Hebrew text of Genesis (Bare’syth) Yahowah speaks "Let there be light" causing a massive release of photon energy (explosion), coincidentally Yahowah calls this release of energy, you guessed it? A big bang.

Moving on, this same goat herder tells a story: A man of God named Noah family should build a large boat in the middle of nowhere far from the ocean. This man is given explicit instructions, the wood to use, how to form the planks and glue them together (gluelam beam) he's given a ration of height, width, length including the amount of and spacing of the levels within. All just a guess on Moseh's part as was the creation story. But darned if this goat herder got every detail perfect. Right down to creating the ratio modern shipbuilders know creates the most stable craft for the high seas and the very ration all modern aircraft carriers share. What does science have to say about this story? An asteroid crater in the sea bed just off the coast of Madagascar has been dated to about the same time as the Noah story. The Noah story speaks of water shooting out of the ground and raining down from the heavens for 40 days and nights. An asteroid strike out at sea would produce a massive tsunami which in turn would force any underground water to sprout. With ocean water launched into the stratosphere raining down first as ice and snow and then rain blocking up the exit to the valley Noah's ark rested within. Over time the ice dam melted and the arc came to rest on dry land. Science has used this asteroid even to explain how the Black Sea transformed from an inland fresh water sea to a salt water sea almost overnight. This also explained the signs of a human settlement found in the sediment 400 feet below the shoreline. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burckle_Crater#Description

Abraham hailed from Ur of the Chaldeans (Babylon) and visited places then unknown to modern man except through the Torah accounts of which these locations have all been confirmed by modern archeologists. We are to believe Moseh came up with a solution to every known problem from wearing a covering over one's face when sick (must have been those microscopic germs no one knew about) to quarantining oneself for 14 days while crying out unclean to those coming into the area. From what foods are not safe to each to how mold should be removed from hard surfaces. I haven't even touched on the Hebrew language itself. Every letter has a meaning, some represent numbers, verbs are not stuck in time as in English verbs are eternal in nature, all names have meanings these meanings when put in the order they are scribed spell out messages lost in the English translations.

The atheist would claim Moseh knew all these things or was one hell of good guesser. I believe Moseh, the creator of the universe told him to write these things down and read them to the people.

Every prophecy revealed by this same God has come to pass, exactly as He related. The problem with claiming the books were copyedited to make the prophecy fit the actual events has a problem the oldest extant copy of Isaiah is complete in the Dead Sea Scrolls, scribed between 250 BCE and 125 CE. As such it agrees with the copies of Isaiah we have today with in 97%. Isaiah rights of the destruction of Israel and the rise of modern Rabbinical Judaism, he did so about 2500 years before. Isaiah writes about the modern State of Israel, when it will fall, and the result. As a guide Damascus is the oldest continually occupied city in history. Isaiah says a sign of the end; Damascus will no longer be able to support life, and will appear as a twisted heap of rubble. Far as I know stone and concrete without rebar and I beams cannot resemble a twisted heap of rubble. A city that large becoming unlivable might require a nuclear strike.

That is your opinion, do you have any proof as to why every prophecy has come to pass and others will quite possibly happen in our life times. Isaiah is filled with end time prophecies regarding Israel and Jerusalem. In 134 CE Jerusalem was destroyed, many were killed, the remaining were hauled off in slavery, and yet today the State of Israel with the very same people exist in the very same city of Jerusalem. Within the book of Exodus the story of slavery under Pharaoh in Mitsrah'ym (Egypt from the Greek) is recorded, characters in the story and places are named. Whole peoples are named the Philistines, Ammonites, Hittites, we would not know about these lost to history people ever existed if not for Torah. Moreover name Pharaoh and it correct pronunciation in Torah was proven correct when the Rosetta Stone was discovered.

The proof of God or a creator is all around us, complexity does not come from chaos. Nature is complex down to electron microscope level. The planet works in perfect order, tides rising and ebbing, wind, rain, and fog, Seasons of life and death with dormancy.

For a short while I counted myself an athiest but it became a full time impossible job defending my opinion. The same was true for Einstein he believed the complexity in Science and math needed to understand the world was the result of a grand designer. Einstein believed coming to know the designer was impossible.

I became an agnostic as it make a world of sense, man is not God, nor did man create or design anything the does not require constant maintenance and even then deteriorate to dust over time.

When I discovered Torah I discovered the means to actually know the designer on a personal level. His name was given, the creation recounted in perfect accuracy. His reason for creating the universe containing one planet that can support human life. He provided a perfect means of living a healthy fulfilling life, He provided a perfect means to settle all disputes within society. His system leading to a prefect society, included no police, prisons, judicial system, no need for judges opinions. Every topic was addressed, in perfection. So perfect was this system, America incorporated the basic foundation of God's instructions, errantly known the 10 commandments.

At issue is man is flawed and desired to be self reliant, the system cannot stand without providing credit to the author of the system.

Most of what people believe about God is false, religious clerics have seated themselves as the middleman between God and mankind. They've done they best to muddy the waters, add doctrines that do not exist in Torah instructions. Call the Torah a book of laws when there is no properly translated word in Hebrew that means OBEY. There are no commandments the text was removed from a book named Dabarym meaning Words or Statements in Hebrew. There are not 10 but 7 statements. Yahowah asks humankind to listen, learn, and then make a free will choice, rely on God or on the world. Those who choose to rely upon God receive all His promises, those who do not are unknown will cease to exist body and soul. Hell (She'owl) is reserved for those who purposely lead souls away from choosing, and for those who attack Yahowah's family.

Jimm what you believe about life will come true at the end of your mortal existence it will be as if you were never born.

You'll have missed a once in all eternity chance to know the creator, and possibly live in His presence in the eternal realm.

Sorry folks your loved family members are not waiting for you in heaven as your priest or pastor has taught you and neither will you be meeting the creator.

As a Father God created a path to walk leading to His family home. Instructions were given, signs were posted along the route. 7 parties are held each year, every 7th day we are invited to approach God and celebrate His work. (nothing is said about lazing about on Shabat).

The world of religious people ignore all the invitations, they don't know or use the name of their creator, they've crafted a new man god named Jesus, yeshua, etc. These claim a personal relationship with God through a fictional character created in the image of Dionysus (read the story from Greek mythology).

Jimm will have the last laugh on the religious, sadly his religion is equal in stature, Man is god, or Jimm is god.

Here's where you and the author of the NT book of Matthew are in error. God choses who He calls son. The author of Matthew is unknown, however Yahowah is known we are introduced in the book of Exodus wherein Moseh asks who should I say has sent me? He's told Yahowah.

Dowd is named as the son of God, coworker, messiah, lamb of God, eternal witness. Later in the Psalm Yahowah reveals Dowd is a God radiating light bright as the moon and sun.

There's really no need to provide a better translation from the Hebrew the standard English translation in your bible provides the same story.

Within your bible lies Psalm 89, which in turn all Christians and Jews do not question inspiration of the verse contained within.

One can either accept who Yahowah calls His son, messiah, and lamb or one can reject God's choice. However doing so puts on in opposition to that God, Yahowah is clear if this is your belief you're calling Him a liar.

When I first read Psalm 89 in a standard English bible I was quite frankly floored. The text has been in the possession of theologians and scholars associated with Christianity and Judaism and yet Psalm 89 destroys the claims of both religions and it is Yahowah speaking against the teachings of both religions. Below is a translation directly from the Hebrew including the words in parentheses.

Religion leads one into a state of cognitive dissonance, where no amount of evidence and reason will lead to a rational decision, the religious vociferously defend the indefensible.

Pslam 89 is a conversation between Dowd and Yahowah. I'd really suggest take the advice while reading words; 'Selah' or in English 'Pause and contemplate the implications'.

Dowd starts:

“A Poem of Insights to Contemplate and Comprehend by being circumspect and thoughtful (maskyl) through (la) ‘Eythan | the Constant and Eternal, Productive and Established, Profuse and Enduring (‘Eythan) ‘Ezrachy | Beloved Native-Born Strong Arm who is cherished (ha ‘Ezrachy). (Mizmowr 89: Introduction and Dedication)

I want to sing (shyr) about the eternal and everlasting love, steadfast devotion, enduring favoritism, unfailing affection, and genuine mercy, kindness, and generosity forevermore (chesed ‘owlam) of Yahowah (Yahowah), on behalf of (la) all generations throughout time, the household, family, and home (dowr wa dowr).

With my mouth (ba peh ‘any), I will make known, revealing that I am familiar with and understand, acknowledging that I have embraced (yada’) Your trustworthiness and dependability, Your honesty and reliability, and Your steadfast commitment to the truth (‘emuwnah ‘atah). (Mizmowr 89:1)

Yes, indeed (ky), I say (‘amar), ‘Now and forevermore (‘owlam), the Spiritual Realm of the Heavens (shamaym) was established and is continually built to procreate a restored, prosperous, and productive family (banah) on love, devotion, favoritism, kindness, generosity, and mercy (chesed).

You have fashioned and formed it to manifest within it (kuwn ba hem) Your authentic character, Your trustworthiness and reliability (‘emuwnah ‘atah).’ (Mizmowr 89:2)

Yahowah answers:

‘I have established, cutting through separation (karat) the Beryth | Covenant for the Family and Home (Beryth) through ‘Any Bachyr | My Chosen One – the person I prefer and have decided upon (la bachyr ‘any).

I have sworn an oath, and I will affirm this promise seven times over (shaba’) to Dowd | the Beloved (la Dowd), ‘Ebed ‘Any | My Authorized Agent and Coworker who serves on My behalf (‘ebed ‘any). (Mizmowr 89:3)

Forevermore, as an ‘Ad ‘Owlam | Eternal Witness to the Restoring Testimony (‘ad ‘owlam), I will prepare and establish (kuwn) your offspring and that which you sow (zera’ ‘atah). In addition, I will construct a home (wa banah) for your throne and seat of honor (kise’ ‘atah) on behalf of all generations throughout time (la dowr wa dowr).’

Selah | Pause now and contemplate the implications (selah). (Mizmowr 89:4)

Skipping ahead Dowd relates: Therefore, in relation to this, logically (‘az) You spoke (dabar) in a revelation (ba chazown) to (la) Your Bacharym | Chosen and Tested Ones (bacharym ‘atah), saying (‘amar), ‘I have equated and bestowed (shawah) assistance, supplying what is needed (‘ezer) on behalf of (‘al) the Gibowr | Most Courageous and Capable Man (gibowr).

I have raised up and exalted (ruwm) the Bachar | Chosen One (bachar) from (min) the people (‘am). (Mizmowr 89:19)

I discovered and then made known, encountered, experienced, and exposed (matsa’) Dowd (Dowd), My ‘Ebed | Coworker (‘ebed ‘any).

Out of (min) Shemen Qodesh ‘Any | My Set-Apart Oil (shemen qodesh ‘any), I have mashach | anointed him (mashach huw’) (Mizmowr 89:20) so that, to show the way to the benefits of the relationship (‘asher), My hand and influence (yad ‘any) will be established and steadfast, authenticated and unwavering (kuwn) with you (‘im ‘atah).

In addition, and beyond this (‘aph), ‘Any Zarowa’ | My Protective Shepherd, Strong Arm, and Sacrificial Lamb (zarowa’ ‘any) will empower and embolden you, strengthening you, while enabling your growth (‘amets ‘atah).” (Mizmowr / Lyrics to Sing / Psalm 89:21)

Yahowah speaks: He shall call out to Me and welcome Me, announcing (huw’ qara’ ‘any), ‘You are my Father (‘ab ‘any ‘atah)!’ (Mizmowr 89:26)

I (‘any), also (‘aph), will appoint him (nathan huw’) My Bakowr | Firstborn (bakowr ‘any), the highest of all (‘elyown) of the kings and rulers (la melek) of the Earth (‘erets). (Mizmowr 89:27)

For all eternity (la ‘owlam) I will keep watch over him, paying very close attention to him (shamar la huw’). My unwavering love, unrelenting devotion, enduring affection, and genuine mercy (chesed ‘any) as a part of My Family-Oriented Covenant agreement (wa beryth ‘any) are truthfully presented and will reliably endure with him (‘aman la huw’). (Mizmowr 89:28)

And I will establish (wa sym) his seed, that which he sows, and his offspring (zera’ huw’), as an eternal witness forever (la ‘ed | ‘ad). And (wa) his throne (kise’ huw’) shall be equated to the days of heaven (ka yowm shamaym). (Mizmowr 89:29)

Accordingly (wa), My unwavering love, enduring devotion, unmitigated affection, and genuine commitment to an adoring relationship (chesed ‘any) I will never remove from him (lo’ parar min ‘im huw’) because I will never communicate something which is not true nor will I ever contradict (wa lo’ shaqar ba) My steadfast commitment to the truth (‘emuwnah ‘any). (Mizmowr 89:33)

I will never dishonor, nor will I poke holes in (lo’ chalal) My Covenant (beryth ‘any) nor will I ever alter or change (wa lo’ shanah) that which has gone forth from (mowtsa’) My lips (saphah ‘any). (Mizmowr 89:34)

There is only one (‘echad) to whom I have affirmed the truth by having made a promise (shaba’) by My Set-Apart nature (ba qodesh ‘any). If not to (‘im la) Dowd (Dowd), I will be proven a liar (kazab). (Mizmowr 89:35)

His offspring and that which he sows (zera’ huw’) shall exist and endure (hayah) forever (la ‘owlam). And (wa) his place of honor (kise’ huw’) shall be as (ka) the sun (ha shemesh) before Me as My counterpart (neged ‘any). (Mizmowr 89:36)

But now (wa) you have refused to accept (zanach) and (wa) you have rejected by diminishing the merit of, even over time becoming averse to (ma’as) your Messiah (Mashyach ‘atah), improperly, and on your own initiative, meddling while presumptuously passing over (‘abar) any association with him (‘im huw’)! (Mizmowr 89:38)

You have repudiated and renounced (na’ar e) the Covenant (beryth – the Family, Home, and Relationship Agreement) with your coworker (‘ebed ‘atah), dishonoring and defiling (chalal) his dedication and preparation, even his demonstration of unparalleled devotion (nezer huw’). (Mizmowr 89:39)

What’s worse, in addition (‘aph), you have deliberately turned away from (shuwb) what he has chiseled in stone and written by the prominent crag (tsuwr chereb huw’) such that (wa) you do not stand with him or support him (quwm huw’) in this conflict (ba ha milchamah). (Mizmowr 89:43)

His brilliance and its splendor (tahar huw’) and his position of honor (wa kise’ huw’) you have truncated (shabath) because (min) you have hurled it to the ground (la magar ha ‘erets). (Mizmowr 89:44)

You have cut short, curtailing the ability to accomplish the mission (qatsar) during the days (yowmym) of his youth (‘aluwmym huw’). You have shamefully covered him over, dishonoring him (‘atah ‘al huw’ buwshah). Take a moment and consider the implications (selah).’” (Mizmowr / Psalm 89:45)

A bit of commentary on Bill's pillory of Nixon. While Nixon clearly didn't know what his actions would accomplish, he surely did know that the dollar could not continue to be attached to an ounce of gold at the $35.00 level. Only in the mind of 1942 could the dollar be had for that amount.

Had Nixon simply changed the value to $70.00 per ounce; he could have bought at least another decade without the drama which followed 1971. The petrodollar, which followed, would have been somewhat secure for a time.

In 1971 $35.00 wouldn't have paid for the mining and refinement of an ounce of gold. There simply wasn't that much high-grade gold ore on the earth.

Leaders have gotten to the point of demonstrating a blatant disregard for the well-being of the faithful masses.
