No problem . You just sell a fraction of your gold to get a steady income. One can do this if you use bullion storage companies to store your gold. It works!

But you miss one thing. We need a comparison with what the returns would have been just leaving that $100 in a diversified stock account all those years.

Sometimes its better to focus on a certain sector of the market. Bill's bet was oil this year, and how right he is! I beleive the market will continue to melt, and when thoroughly thawed in a couple of years, or when we get these current idiots out of the White House, think Metaverse....

I think the stock market has the ability to ruin ones mind. A lot of attention and much chasing. I know someone personally who has used up a lot of space in their head over many years and is now left... with about nothing. Bummer to witness I must say

I sure won't make those kind of returns at my age, but I sure wouldn't mind making a 2-5X increase in the next few years. Think it is time to buy some more gold!!

Overall, this looks good but I question comparing a stock average that fluctuates on a daily basis to an asset whose price was frozen at $35 per ounce for about 40 years and whose ownership was restricted for those 40 years.
