Joel, you hit the nail on the head. We are absolutely in a "controlled demolition of the American middle class." Everywhere you look the screws are getting tighter and tighter. Reduce population of the peasants, destroy their wealth, destroy their healthcare, destroy education, destroy anything and everything that the middle class holds as a store of value. It is obvious what is going on, but what are we to do? Good is called evil and evil good. As in the times of Noah, we see the signs that Jesus spoke about. It is truly like watching a train wreck in slow motion. The elites think that they will be above the fray, but like you said, poor, hungry people are easier to control. Hmmmm, that will be tested, or not!!
I'd like to know where they're raising rent only by 6.3%. Our rent increase for 2021-2022 was 15% and the proposed rent increase for 2022-2023 was 30% at which point we said "No Mas" and have decided to leave the Northeast US. Of course, the landlord is a publicly traded REIT company which explains everything. JO, the US has a very broken moral compass as it applies to all facets of the outlook towards society.
Have a friend in East Central Florida who experienced nearly identical rent increases on her beachside apartment in both years you mentioned. She also bailed out for a small house rental further inland. Can't walk to the sand anymore, but not breaking the bank either.
Yes, property also owned by a publicly-traded REIT. Often pronounced "greed."
Never ascribe to malevolent design that which can easily be chalked up to run-of-the-mill stupidity and incompetence.
One need only look at the composition of Fed members and their backgrounds heavily lacking in real world experience to know their collective understanding of how Main Street works would fit in a thimble with room to spare.
They may find it easier to control cold, hungry and poor people. That is until a charismatic leader appears out of the woodwork. Then watch what happens to the social fabric. And with the plethora of uncontrolled and uncontrollable social media platforms that can happen very quickly so there won't be time to consider using the democratic process.

Hi Frank -

Bill says that every buyer must find a seller. It’s also true that every seller must find a buyer.

I would highly recommend to anyone who's considering subscribing.
In my opinion there will be no soft landing. Just misery.
Amen to the soft! It is literally unbelievable.
