Hard not to love the missives from bill and Joel. And for good measure; Casey, Matt Taibi and Russell Brand. Unfortunately the need for the populace to rise up will always be split 50/50 by design of the elite system. That is until some biblical crisis demands us to hit the streets like 1968. I’m sure it’s coming and it will be butt ugly. Economic default/ collapse? Social security reform? Gun control? War with China? Another Trump victory? Is there a way to measure a resistance/ rebellion until the masses grab the weapons and hit the bricks?

So far the best measure I’ve seen is watching BUD stock tank. Any other thoughts out there?

Bill writes: "Our contribution to the ‘capture’ theory is to observe that both the regulators and the regulated...want the same things – power, money, status."

I think: Yes, just like you and me, and God Almighty. Hopefully for the exact same reasons.

Bill writes: "And Ms. Warren? Who does she work for? ...is she merely anesthetizing ‘the people’…allowing the elite to rip them off even more?"

I wonder: How does Bill and his brilliant team survive pulling the curtain away from the Wizards? Are we protecting ourselves and good people around us, or just revealing ourselves to the midnight door knockers? As Anthony Deden asks, "What could go wrong?"

I add, "...and where?"

AH! but the temptations to be the hand maidens for the elite and audited big corporates of global Stock Exchange stature.

Honesty, integrity of saint like consulting professionals, with one or two folk being tempted by the cocaine of the easy mega buck to become wealthier than thou.

Ever heard of PWC?

Yes one of the ‘Big4’

All of utmost high integrity, angelic corporate advisers, minders and...?

Watch this new, chapter by chapter, ever expanding saga of greed.

Bill writes about the virtue of "win-win" deals, that, left alone, we'll all seek our best interests, and all will be well at Walden Pond. Well, at least half of us, maybe more, don't want to wait for the sourdough starter to ferment ( a nod to Gone Fishin'), and seek to scam the system, and our friends and sojourners, to increase our personal advantage. That's the built-in fail of human nature. No matter how carefully the system is crafted, it all eventually flops. Since we're still in the early stages (in his last missive, Tom said the "controlled demolition" will take 20 years), I'm wagering most of us will get out without too much suffering. Best always. PM

Good Prose: as always Bill! I especially like, "putting the pants on one leg at a time". Only one thing is different, the elite have better and more expensive pants. Just Saying. Florida Jimmy.

Bill:

Thank you for your writings. I saw a bit in the news today on Baltimore. I am from Maryland and went to graduate school in Baltimore. The segment was on education showing that parents were terrified to send their children to school because there were so many shootings outside the schools. They pointed out the road went from school to prison. Very sad to see such continuous deterioration. Best wishes.

Mr. Bonner

The Ravished are not looking for a good time. Could you not find a better allegory?

Sincerely

Mr. Erikson
