Re Joel’s note, add in that the state of Victoria is now attempting to ban gas in homes! In an honest world Australia should have some of the cheapest energy costs on earth. The elites have us starving at a feast.

“And the only way they could hold on to their advantage was to deny the benefits of cheap energy to everybody else”

That may be true but it is a logical fallacy on the part of the elites. In the long run their efforts to hold on to their advantage amount to sawing off the limb they are sitting on. But of course when the limb hits the ground it may be their children or grandchildren that are sitting on it. Or the masses may wake up and revolt before the collapse occurs. That I wouldn’t bet on, at least not in the western world. But this is the 4th Industrial Revolution, is it not? Unlike the first 3 it would appear to be a largely destructive revolution, tearing down nearly everything put in place by the first two revolutions, which were the ones that built the middle classes worldwide. This would be the real point. When billionaires accumulate more money than they could ever spend in a lifetime, when they acquire more personal property than they have time to enjoy(even with private jets), the game and the score keeping become the point. Power and control the new ring. And Godless minds become warped minds. The rest is history.
