I'm happy to be out of the working 'matrix' so I don't have to interact with those orange-haired lesbians in HR as I may accidentally forget to use the proper pronoun.

Please don't use that derogatory language here. Even BPR has standards. The proper term is 'vagitarian.'

Happy to be out of the working matrix too. I was put off by the HR training 15 years ago when I left as the woke culture started its initial growth. I was disheartened by what seemed to me the movement toward INCLUSION rather than EXPERTISE / CONTRIBUTION and I wasn't the highest in the expertise category but certainly, being in a chemical company, I had tremendous respect for the expertise. EXPERTISE and CONTRIBUTION (I.E. MERIT) was what solved problems.

Enjoyed immensely your imaginative and inspired post . You have a gift with metaphors, and being an octogenarian, I pay special heed to your comments on mortality. Your introductory photo reminds me of the "Tree of Life" symbolism, the connection between Heaven and Earth. But it is this line that moved me the most, "it is the looming grave that makes life above ground so jolly"! It reminds me of a quote from "Rainer Maria Rilke" in describing the same observation that you make, "Ah, the knowledge of impermanence That haunts our days
Is their very fragrance".

Though the thought of our own death may be lugubrious, it's reward is the enjoyment of the days we have left.

The printing cycle will end, but they are not worried about that. They can print as much money as they want because sooner or later, the government is going to eliminate all paper currency and replace it with a β€œdigital” currency, so it doesn’t matter how much they print right now. The only thing they need to worry about is how to defeat global digital competition.

On top of that, they (who’s they? πŸ˜‚) the Fed/Government is also coming to take your physical gold away from You, hahaha, everything will be digital, on a global scale.

They will soon know how you spend every single penny of your money, and they will subtract fees, taxes, and the new up and coming β€œGun Safety” Federal Tax from your account anytime they want.

In order words, we are royally fuuuuudged!!!

πŸ˜‚

Inflation will continue to rise, interest rates will continue going up, the stock market will continue going down. Billions in family fortunes will lost.

What should we do? Ask the Fed!!! Hahaha!

I just want to say "Goodbye" to all of you. I've written my last post for this screwball thread. From the religious hypocrites who think the biggest liar to ever sit in the White House is a saint, to the political jackasses who think Putin is an angel and the US stole his halo, to the people who ( I'm sure sincerely) seriously responded to my opening remark today, I'm forced to conclude it's hopeless. Take care.

Not at all. But try this: Having watched this entire transgender thing unfold, and being trained in biology, it has been difficult to escape the conclusion that the actual physiology of male & female is degrading due to some environmental cause(es). Forever chemicals, processed diets, I can't say. Again, it's a complex issue. Please don't think ill of me here, as I'm not making excuses for these people. I personally feel some guy thinking he has the right to walk into a ladies room just because he feels like being a woman is disgusting. Social media may be helping, but it would be very naive to think the problem does not have a physiological basis. You may be thinking "Well this has gone on in the past" yes, Dave, but not on the grand scale it is today. If you don't believe me, just check with the Pentagon-they have been watching the testosterone level in men drop for decades. Similar is now occurring with females. I sincerely hope that is a satisfactorily comprehensive example of open mindedness to suit you.

Expand full comment

While it's tempting to think the transgender thing is physiological - consider this: even Bill Mahr, not a conservative at all, noticed that there are more transgender kids in California than Ohio - AND, he came out against transgender treatment/surgery for children(!!). It's largely cultural, and another sign of our decaying empire, or more accurately, a sign that God's spirit is leaving the earth. Not on God's own accord; He was pushed away. See Romans 1:16-32. Paul nailed it. It's almost as if he could see into our time.

Expand full comment

Alex, California is a hell of a lot bigger than Ohio. And even if you are talking about it as a percentage, the atmosphere, whether we agree with it or not, is more encouraging for them to come out. That has nothing to do with my point about a physiological base to the issue. Good example about why this is hopeless.

Expand full comment

Thanks for the reply.

I do not see why you would think that such a statement would not be made here on this forum or that it would fail to be given reasonable consideration.

Expand full comment

Because most of them can only deal in black and white. The transgender thing is particularly bad (or a particularly good example) because many, mostly on the religious right want to reduce it to a moral argument allowing them to feel superior to the people affected. At least that has been my experience.

Anyone who's really interested should read a book I'm about halfway through called Lost in TransNation. Very interesting and in-depth study about the rise of this transgender situation we are currently in. It appears to be mostly psychological although I believe there are also physiological factors at work given the amount of hormone disrupting toxins floating around in our environment everywhere these days..

Altschule, It's not about giving up. Last night I brought over a home made meal to a woman who has been the best friend I ever had. Due to a long lasting physical condition, dementia has set in. She still recognizes me and is happy to see me but it is difficult for us to interact in any meaningful way. It puts in perspective having to deal with a bunch of guys who COULD think but choose not to. People with very limited backgrounds and limited news sources. Why are their sources limited? Because the neurosis that drives their insecurity is so great they cannot tolerate being exposed to broader perspectives. Peace man.

A true cycle should not invoke sadness. Rather it should inspire satisfaction and hope. What government does as it evolves is not a cycle; it is evolution over a long period, or perhaps entropy. Sadness comes from the degradation we anticipate over time. Government certainly falls into this category at times. I believe this is that time.

Likely that this time we will NOT see the "cycle" or the "degradation" in the same form as we have looking back at History.

This current last turning is shaping up to be much more complete and much more vicious. AND it's going to strike on a Global basis...
