I've read from several sources that China cut way back on oil imports and lived off of reserves. One motivation was to avoid high prices of imports. And apparently they had stock up and needed to use reserves. This by itself may have been a major reason for the lack of $200/oil as many projected.

But there is a HUGE glut of oil....in the ground and also what is out of the ground and the logjam is in refining it and shipping it. NOW that involves Hormuz and Houttis for FOREIGN SOURCED OIL namely the middle east..but we are net exporters of oil and we have plenty of our own which is superior anyway being the sweetest and lightest crude on the planet and thus cheaper to refine.....and diesel is going the way of the dodo bird anyway. So the shortage of oil and the price of oil is about OVERSEAS oil not ours and the oil markets give us WTI which is Texas but GAS STATIONS IN THE USA dont care and jack up prices immediately on latest news though the gas in their big underground tanks was drilled and refined six months ago...before the war began. ITS A SCAM PEOPLE. WE ARE BEING SCAMMED. LIKE LIGHT BULB SCAM.
