Biden gets a Pinocchio award for that statement. Good grief...

Inflation and Covid 19 don't worry me as much as the "moral decay you see all around you". We can fix inflation and battle Covid 19, but how do stop the moral decay when the major tools for maintaining moral values, religion and strong family values, seem to be disappearing?

"Today, thanks to the economic plan and the vaccination plan that my Administration put into action, America has achieved the most robust recovery in modern history." --Joe Biden

For anyone that thinks this clown isn't the most delusional POTUS in American history, I've got 1,000 acres of prime swampland in Florida that's a perfect vacation spot for you.

Good analogy-“government pickpockets”. And Janet Yellen’s admission about persistent inflation, translated-“gee, we were hoping you wouldn’t notice”.

A wonderful earner for the UK Government. Here's how the price of a Litre (1 UK Gallon is approx 5.5 Litres) is broken down.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61716039 -

Cost of Oil from supplier 33%

Duty 35% (tax)

VAT 17% (tax that is on the basis of the value which means VAT also rises on the basis of the amount of Duty, so tax on a tax. Tho' that was an EU idea we still have it.)

Retailer Profit 8%

Cost of Biofuel content 7%

So Govt Gets 52%

Oil Company 33% (but that isn't profit!)

Retailer 8% (profit)

and a sort of Green Tax adds another 7% - as if Net Zero isn't insane enough.

We are also in the UK about to add a 20% windfall tax on Energy Companies profits. Insanity upon insanity! Their 'record profits' this year are 1/3rd of their record losses last year. Surely even Biden isn't as stupid as the UK Government?

He could be ! However if the owners of the Energy Companies only receive 26.5% of the income from their efforts, 33% less this "windfall tax " of 20% , then surely it is the Government that owns them as they receive most of the revenue stream...

Obviously that makes overseas investors think twice about investing in any British Companies, if the Government is liable to pick your pockets at a moment's notice, and that will be far more of a problem for British Industry in future.

Not sure if it is just me (or protonmail on the web), but whenever there is a paragraph with some formatted text (bold, italics), the non-formatted part of the paragraph does not appear on the email version, only the formatted part.

For instance, in the paragraph starting with "Joel's Note:" in bold, all that appears in the email is "Joel's Note:" in bold. The rest is missing. Also, a little further down is a paragraph with an italicized "1984", where all that appears in the email is the italicized "1984". The rest is missing.

Personally, I do not mind coming to the website to read the posts, but I did not realize what was happening until noticing Joel's "What to Pack", which I had read previously, was shorter and less comprehensible than I remembered. As other readers may be in the same boat, not yet having realized they are missing content, I figured you may need a heads up.

You need to start going easy on the “All Caps” button. We can read the danger signs in the economy as well. If I want to see doomsday signals, I can study yield curves or read Stansberry newsletter ads.

And how is Bitcoin different than any of our modern day fiat currencies? The USD doesn’t have anything backing it either. There is no “full faith and credit of the US government” when that fine institution is both over $30,000,000,000,000 in debt and quickly losing its power as the world’s reserve currency.

YAWN…yeah, I don’t do cancel culture either. You’re annoying with your ALL CAPS tirades about gloom and doom.

And enough with the labeling and petty comments. It’s a public message board. Grow up.
