First of all, kudos to your team for reading this clap-trap, hodge podge, boondoggle of crap and reporting what we knew already. Bend over folks, the dems are always ready to stick it to the middle class of America. And as for the moderate from West Virginia, get a life. As Larry Kudlow says, save America, Kill The Bill. Who knows who coined the phrase "dems love the little people." What a CROCK!!!

$80 billion in new funding for the tax man. The $80 billion is more than six times the current annual IRS budget of $12.6 billion. The main targets will by necessity be the middle- and upper-middle class because that’s where the money is. The Joint Committee on Taxation, Congress’s official tax scorekeeper, says that from 78% to 90% of the money raised from under-reported income would likely come from those making less than $200,000 a year. Only 4% to 9% would come from those making more than $500,000. This will surely keep the economy on its back for a lot longer than any of the self-professed experts will expect. In other words, don't expect a quick recovery. For those who haven't figured it out yet; the State has a new Monster to slay and its you :-)

Thank you for the information. Just a heads up, I clicked the link to the energy report but it didn't go to the report. However, I dug around the energy monitor site and found it and read it. The most interesting thing to me is that the Economy-wide greenhouse gas emissions were already in a downtrend since 2006. So why the super expensive acceleration that will only lead to inflation and polarize a nation? But the best part is that a featured sponsor pop up on the page read, "How to Begin Your Journey to Yacht Ownership" sponsored by JP Morgan in the Elite Traveler magazine. I wish I could do a screen shot on this post. Yeah, that helps combat emissions and is good for the environment. Sigh. And sorry I'm so dense but where exactly does the funding come from?

Thanks to Joel for doing the arithmetic and revealing that a life extended is worth over $189 million. A real epidemiologist would probably slice this a little finer, and divide the three or five year "saving" and determine that each year was precisely worth $42.357 million.

Another nuance is that the numbers may actually be correct if Zimbabwe-style inflation is being predicted.

Can someone explain how carbon dioxide inflames asthma and causes asthema attacks? I guess no one cares to ask the senators that question.. just curious.. BTW there is no generation in the pipeline with any of the utilities to account for the additional electrical load for charging EV's. Somebody better tell the politicians they can build 10,000 charging stations but the generation and distribution infrastructure doesnt exist to supply power to those chargeing stations. Takes minimum of 5-7 years to build the generation that is reliable enough to supply the charging stations. The sun dont shine at night so guess we wont be driving after sun down..

One point you gentlemen are missing is that the bill is not saving lives but instead delaying death. That’s a lot of money to spend to keep someone alive for what? An extra month? An extra year? If this person was this close to death in the first place what kind of quality of life will they have this last month or year? Why, the Schumer-Manchin bill could be said to be torturing people just as well as saving lives. :-)

Tax Advocacy is going explode this decade. Unfortunately the little guy/gal can't afford Tax Advocacy. They'll have to just pay the bill. Take a guess at who the IRS will target. Yup, the little guy/gal are gonna get obliterated. The Deep State (Globalist Faction) is obviously butt hurt over all the pandemic, lockdown, and election criticisms. This is their time to go get them a pound of flesh from the Sheeple. Isn't it fun when the State turns on its citizens :-)

Bill, you are correct ! However the difference between prostitutes and politicians is that prostitutes usually know what their end game is !

Manchin showed himself as a prostitue by holding out to get his price and now he is back to a politician !

How hard is it to be a “journalist” these days? Copying and pasting your news story in from DNC press releases, adding your byline and emailing it to the editor?
