I keep asking the question: Do the elite geniuses now running our world know that they are sawing off the limb that they are sitting on?

I answer my own question in the negative. They believe, I think, that they are sitting on their own limb, one with private jets and private islands and massive Generac machines and seed vaults, and on and on. They are fools. They think they can engineer their own soft landing while engineering a fatal crash for most of the rest of us.

Their hubris makes them subject to what the Bible calls futile thinking. They believe they see better than the rest of us but they live in a cave. They see nothing for what it truly is. They sow the fruit of Godlessness. They will reap its’ whirlwind.

Indeed. The wicked, i.e., selfish, always sow the seeds of their own destruction. The originator of selfishness did that a long time ago, and the minute he separated himself from the source of life, even if he had not tempted anyone to join him, his death was inevitable. That, and much more, is in my little booklet, Discourse On Agape, which you can read for free on my new, rather plain looking, website, http://www.discourseonagape.org. You can also request a hard copy, also for free. There are a couple of additional little booklets as well, check it out.

Many thanks to Bill for sharing his perspective on the Kennedy brothers. I was very young when they were assassinated...and really did not appreciate the politics involved, particularly the shift in focus initiated by LBJ. Reading Bill's missive it, sadly, seems pretty straightforward...God help us!

Hopefully the next POTUS will declassify the records of the Kennedy assignations. The citizens of the USA can "Handle the Truth".

No offense to Bill, but it's Jimi Hendrix

Hola friends and compadres -

Fun Fact or Urban Legend?

Jimi H. was left-handed and got his first guitar at the age of 15, $5 having been loaned to him by his Aunt to buy it. His father had been having some financial troubles and he and the young Jimi were living in a boarding house. The guitar was the property of the son of the building's owner, but he was injured in a car crash and made paraplegic. Jimi's dad refused to loan him the money for the purchase, so his mother's sister graciously stepped in and changed the history of Rock and Roll.

Anyway, Jimi fell in love with the thing and carried it with him everywhere, practicing virtually nonstop. Unfortunately, his father thought that being left-handed was a sign of the devil, so he would swat Jimi about the face and head whenever he saw him playing lefty. Jimi's solution?

He turned the guitar upside down and taught himself to play it that way. Surely it took a while, but he finally reversed what was imprinted on his brain to such a degree that he arguably became one of the most impressive guitarists and music writers (guitar music) of the last century.

All of this is true - check out any picture of him playing his guitar. Yup. Upside down.

Now please excuse me while I kiss the sky...

Thank you for the story. I liked some of the music, but it was very noisy. "All along the Watchtower" had some nice moments at high school dances!

Jimi Hendrix was a member of The 27 Club. No surprise.

Actually, there is an American guitarist named Jim Hendricks. Played for The Mugwumps and wrote a few hit songs during the 60s. Was married for a time to Mama Cass. Great guitarist, but not in Jimi Hendrix's league!

Lincoln was an intelligent man. Like most with a keen awareness he tended to be depressive.

I am reading “Battle Cry of Freedom” by James McPherson, the best history book I have read. It only covers the Civil War but extensively.

Lincoln was no cynic. His understanding and accomplishments were amazing.

He told his cabinet, “I made a pack with The Lord, if the Rebels were driven from Maryland, I would release it.” Meaning The Proclamation of Emancipation.

A man might cry in his beer, but, with the Lord, he will recover and do positive things; because he believes in positive outcomes.

I am sitting watching kids practice baseball in the Florida sun, surrounded by positive things.

More Facts about Lincoln and Kennedy's tragic endings...

Both were elected to congress in '46: Lincoln was elected in 1846 from Illinois, and Kennedy was elected in 1946 from Massachusetts.

Both were elected to the presidency in '60: Lincoln was elected in 1860, and Kennedy was elected in 1960.

Both have seven letters in their last names ("Lincoln" and "Kennedy").

Both were concerned with civil rights:

Lincoln felt strongly that all slaves should be freed and issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which legally freed slaves within the Confederacy.

Kennedy was concerned with racial equality and was the first to propose what would be the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Both married in their 30s to women who were in their 20s:

Lincoln was married on November 4, 1842. Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809, making him 33 years old at the time of his wedding. Lincoln's bride, Mary Anne Todd, was born on December 13, 1818, making her 23 years old at the time of the wedding.

Kennedy was married on September 12, 1953. Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917, making him 36 years old at the time of his wedding. Kennedy's bride, Jacqueline Bouvier, was born on July 28, 1929, making her 24 years old at the time of the wedding.

Both were shot on a Friday: Lincoln was shot on Good Friday, April 14, 1865, and Kennedy was shot on Friday, November 22, 1963.

Both were shot in the head. (Lincoln and Kennedy).

Both of the presidents' successors were named Johnson: Lincoln was succeeded by Andrew Johnson, and Kennedy was succeeded by Lyndon B. Johnson.

Both were succeeded by Southerners: Andrew Johnson was from Tennessee, and Lyndon B. Johnson was from Texas.

Both successors were born in '08: Andrew Johnson was born December 29, 1808, and Lyndon B. Johnson was born August 27, 1908.

Both assassins, John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald, are known by their three names, although this is common for many notorious assassins who are covered by the press (see Mark David Chapman). This is routinely done by the press to avoid tarnishing the reputations of people with similar names (i.e., there are many John Booths, Lee Oswalds, and Mark Chapmans).

Each assassin's full name is composed of fifteen letters.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials:

On April 26, 1865, after refusing to surrender, John Wilkes Booth was assassinated by Sergeant Boston Corbett.

On November 24, 1963, on his way to the county jail, Lee Harvey Oswald was assassinated by night club owner Jack Ruby.

Is the Fed really gonna stop inflation? Then what will the US do about its debt? That option means they go into greater debt as the only choice which in turn causes greater inflation etc. These leaders must at least appear to be fighting inflation or lose their middle class votes.

Read “Confessions of an Economic Hitman” by John Perkins, 3rd edition, if you want to understand how empire works. I don’t share his politics, but the facts of the case are hard to argue. And really at a certain level politics is just a side show. The big boys get what the big boys want, regardless of who sits in the government.

Basically the result for the economy at this point is "die", but death comes more slowly and feels less painful for certain groups with inflation. That's why the market doesn't believe what the Fed says. It sees no real QT and a race to save whichever part of the 1% is feeling pain at any given time.
