The basic human instinct to trust people in positions of influence and responsibility is fatal in degenerating societies. By the time people finally realize, yeah, this is deliberate and we need to end this right now, it's too late. With Jacobins in the White House and Neocons in the State Department we have the perfect storm. Unfortunately for us, this one's a Shit Storm :-)

As a youngster growing up in a small Western Illinois town, like a magnet I attracted ticks. Cigarettes were common back then (my Father was addicted to Chesterfield). Placing the lit end of the cigarette on the top of the tick caused it to immediately recoil, lifting its head from the scalp. Tick fever avoided; lung cancer not.

The amusing thing about all of this, is the catastrophe that is crushing the middle and lower classes is totally avoidable if only their brains were working. By voting Libertarian, they would end the Fed, stop rampant theft through counterfeiting, restore the bill of rights and get rid of inflation for good. They would gradually get richer while the cost of living went down.

Right now Democracy doesn't work because you are depending on the thinking abilities of the voters. Half of all voters intellect, are below average.

I grew up with the scourge of ticks in east Texas,. Moved to Central Texas and was aghast to find "seed" ticks here that were were very tiny and spread out on you when you brushed into cedar (mountain juniper) bushes. In the past decades I seldom see ticks, even on the dogs. My guess is the fire ants have decimated them same as they do to quail or anything newborn that doesn't get up quick. I have had so many of their painful bites that I loathe the fire ant. However, there may be some blessing to an invasive species if my guess is correct. Maybe not all blessings are worth the cost though.

Yes Bill, those pesky little blood suckers have been infecting humans with assorted germs and disease for ever, but another lab leak, this time from our side of the world, started the dreaded Lyme directly from Plum Island NY. One wonders how such an ugly disease could come from such a lovely Island. I know our friend PVG knows about Paperclip, and the dangers that probably leaked from that beautiful secluded location. Don’t worry though, our most intelligent government shut down Plum a couple of years ago, and moved the entire project ( mostly work on live stock viruses now) to Kansas, to keep America’s food supply safe 😳…only in America….

Didn't the U.S. Dollar die in 1971 when they took it off the Gold Standard. And the currency's markets are just another derivatives play, where we give value to faceless currencies with no backing.

What I am forced to spend money on is up, everything else is down.

I remind myself its far better for the economy to pay exorbitant prices for fuel than to have none at all.

It is always interesting to read phrases from the Bible sprinkled into these articles. There must be a familiarity from back when with the Christian faith. Curious.
