Dan, do you think inflation is 3%? More like 30%. You should have said the “published” rate of inflation is 3%.

Dan

Not dismissing our “fast food” mentality, I have one reason why some investors want it now and are unwilling to map out a 10 year plan with 2x or 3x returns. There are 75 million Americans on Social Security. For arguen do, let’s say that 25 % of those folks have high net assets? That means that those folks between 66 and 80 don’t have the patience for a 10 year plan. They want it now. I am one of those folks and having witnessed a few shit storms, the validity of existential investing beats the risk of the going long alternative. John Ferris

Thanks Dan, always interesting. I know it's early but, could you or Bill say something about how you think the new govt. in Japan and their stated goals play out in their markets as well as world market effects.

Why would a savvy Japan hold any long dated US bonds today? The writing is on the wall and plain for all to see. This should apply to any country able to recognise the unsustainable US debt situation; default or default through inflation (same thing in reality).

The leveraged purchase of equities is frightening.

Obviously, none of us can predict the future: however, until or unless our debt is addressed in a significant way, I'm betting my that gold is going to be revalued to the dollar. Therefore, pending that happening why would I be invested in anything but gold related. I know, I know. You should never be invested in one area but being invested in anything dollar valued except gold in some form doesn't seem the best idea. Now, if they start reducing the debt (not likely) I can't see where holding any appreciable amount of cash and they announce that gold is immediately revalued to the dollar is very smart. Then I would sell my gold and invest in "good" stocks. Yeah, I know you smart youngsters can buy and sell the techs and cryptos and make money before the revaluation occurs. More power to you and hope you'll make a million. Just hope they don't announce the revaluation on Friday after the mkts close and you have to sell your techs and cryptos on Monday. You may have a problem selling at a profit.

Thank you Dan! We can’t compare America to any nation on earth, due to our unique culture and history. You can turn on the boob tube at any time of the day and see why America is failing. We let the most ignorant, the most corrupt and the most dangerous people in our history take over the democrat party. Let’s call them the party of mental illness. My term. So trying to compare Japan to America is moronic at least. They don’t have the demographic problem that we do. They only have pro Japanese to support them. We have many millions of anti-Americans who suck the life and soul out of our country. Yes Dan, it’s not going to end well, but not the way you think. It’s not going to end well for the left. America is on the move now, and we are number one ☝️ God bless America, and those who fight for her🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸and in the meantime, buy the dip in crypto 🤑

Lolol, yes my friend, life is about choices. God grants us that gift! Those who choose to listen to me years ago are so blessed. Those who followed Mr Bill here, are not so. Anyway, do as you please and best wishes 🙏

I pulled 1.3 out of XOP. It's not because it's a bad investment. I just think it is short term. Several of your "gold bug" colleagues believe that it's going to be a laggard for various reasons. The nuclear talk around here is exploding. Personally very close to home... I'm in to the raw uranium play.. Anecdotal, Is the real real. On Monday, I'm moving to some engineers rrcruited to the staff a nuclear power plant. For " Modern Design." Understanding of course that all are nuclear power plants for design. Ers 60s and built-in the 70s... Covered wagon and bone on a wax tablet technology. Commodities About time!

Back of the envelope math Dan….it took the US ~71,000 days to rack up its first trillion in debt….now it takes just 71 days!

Won’t be long until it takes 7 days, then perhaps 7 hours 🤣🤣

Been hearing about the new 5x leveraged funds coming out. Add that to 24/7 option trading coming soon also, ought to make things ‘interesting,’ for those who wish to dabble in such things.
