Dan, do you think inflation is 3%? More like 30%. You should have said the “published” rate of inflation is 3%.

Not dismissing our “fast food” mentality, I have one reason why some investors want it now and are unwilling to map out a 10 year plan with 2x or 3x returns. There are 75 million Americans on Social Security. For arguen do, let’s say that 25 % of those folks have high net assets? That means that those folks between 66 and 80 don’t have the patience for a 10 year plan. They want it now. I am one of those folks and having witnessed a few shit storms, the validity of existential investing beats the risk of the going long alternative. John Ferris
