Gosh, don't think i can top that story. But, I do remember in my younger days. Being 19 and dating a former Braniff Airline stewardess. Ah, the pleasures of youth. It was all fun and expensive. Spent my whole weeks check on one outing. Then, life got serious. Found a great woman, got married and we will celebrate our 60th anniversary come March. Raised 3 great sons, two with whom I hang out now. Don't do much work, but the fellowship is great. Don't know what is coming down the tracks, but with women wanting to marry women, and men marry men, it is obvious we are off the tracks. There is a price to pay for this. These young folks are easily distracted. Even old folks are too, with the president saying we will need F-15s if we are to fight the government. Did not know one was planned, but i aint gonna miss it. Kinda miss those old bar room brawls now and again. Heard yesterday a guy in California had to pay $100 to charge his Tesla. Don't sound like fuel is going down. May have to wait till the price comes down before I can afford one of them electric cars. He said if 50,000 decided to charge at the same time, it will bring down the grid for California who is looking for rolling blackouts as early as this week. Seems we need a new direction. Remember that we have a book of instructions that has all the answers if we only use it. The Bible is the only instruction we need. Has it ALL. Just sayin'

Pretty much nailed it Don - no show of any of us matching Mr Bonner's great way with words, but 60 years married is a damned fine thing (45 in October for us, also with three sons) and your sense that "there's something rotten in the the State of Denmark" resonates as well. I see good old PG V having one of his/her rants about the subject as well. Maybe, as I suspect, the majority of readers who read and respond to Bill are in a similar age category to me, and have, despite promising themselves they'd never do it, become grumpy old men; or maybe this time it is different? I keep saying I hope I live long enough to see where all of this is going, then sometimes I think - maybe, not so much.

The first thing I thought was did Joe miss the whole Afghanistan, and Iraq experience. Not to mention Vietnam. They didn't need no stinkin' F15's.

You are a good storyteller. I laughed out loud. 🤣 Thank you for making laugh. Good medicine! Prov 17:22.

It is true that marriage and traditional family life have for a long time been right in the center of the crosshairs of those who want to control the lives of others on a massive scale. There are so many monikers for them that I have started using the more wordy but descriptive phrase - ‘those who want to control the live of others’. The hardest social unit to exercise control over is the strong, traditional family. It had to go. There is no question that it has been decimated worldwide. The question is whether it is in fact dead. Life, including nature, are full of episodes where the seeming dead have come back to life. It happens on a ceremonial scale worldwide every Spring. Perhaps marriage and family shall sprout new buds some day. But by the looks of things, it had better be soon. Time will tell.

I could have done without the Pilgram boy story.

Yep, why get married when the government will support your loneliness and poor decision making from birth to grave!

It has been in style since our sexual revolution to have as many sexual partners, and to hell with the STDs and the old fogies talking about how life used to be. Do as thou wilt....

It really became popular in some American cultures due to our government subsidizing the good people to stay single. Now it's so popular that 50% of American children are born out of wedlock. Don't worry, Uncle Joe will take care of you!

Yes folks, history is rhyming with our current world follies, and as nations collapse from poor leadership, embracing of immoral behavior and destruction of true religion and God, another world cleansing will soon be upon us.

So happy my wife and I were able to enjoy the Lion d’Or in Bayeux, and the pristine beauty, history and age of that town. Mont-Saint-Michel and the incredible story of it's magnificent creation and awe, the underground white limestone quarries located under Saint-Nicaise Hill on the outskirts of the city of Reims, enjoying the wonderful Veuve Clicquot and the best lunch we had in France, in a quaint barn house, and the incredibly emotional lowering of our American flags ceremony and taps at Normandy...the beauty we all enjoy from the hell our fathers endured.

Live, love and enjoy those who you choose to, treat all as you wish to be treated and worship the wondrous gift of life!

And now we have an insane Biden ruling America…from yesterday…“As I stand here tonight, equality and democracy are under assault,” Biden said. “We do ourselves no favors to pretend otherwise.” Listen carefully Joe, we don’t pretend anything, as we see how your assault on true Americans is panning out, and your loathing for “democracy” is so evident!

Thank You, Bill - to coin a phrase from the movie Arthur, "Chauffeurs rarely get to laugh. And laugh I did. To reconnoiter a bit - I married a lovely Catholic girl 36 years ago and the priest who married us was accosted by two gay men in Boston who asked him to marry them. The priest, in his heavy Boston accent replied "The Bible says Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve." Try saying that toy.

Is it possible young people look at the high divorce rate and decide it is quite meaningless?

I love those conversations at the weddings. You have a knack for it. Write short stories, fiction, maybe a novel, you've been writing the truth of economics for decades and it's obvious it doesn't work. Officialdom isn't listening and doesn't care. You even wrote books which senators and congressmen didn't read. You're a writer and the wedding stuff is actually better than the financial stuff.

To each their own, Georges-St. Pierre and the

Eiffel Tower, dinner under the moonlight, twilight glimmers of hope, the sea-crest descents upon nature, as the turtle wax laments the skies.

Waiting for things to get better, don’t hold your breath, you’ll end up looking like Dory.

Not going anywhere for a while, grab yourself a sneakers bar, more like Willie Wonka and the chocolate factory.

Follow your heart white wolf, the snow melts on the tip of your snout. 😂

I do like Bill's stories. I find them humorous and revealing. It shows that the US isn't the only country with concerns of tradition and history. In addition, I can relate to Bill's concern about hearing since I am also hard of hearing. His discussion with the woman guest is humorous.

Having lived in a number of countries and being a multicultural family we know all this. I subscribed to Mr Bonner's Wealth service. I will judge him and tell my students about him based on his success in improving my family's wealth position. I'm still waiting.

I somehow thought your service was supposed to help me prepare to be a better investor. Paid $395 to read verbose emails from France and somewhere down in South America? I see maybe four suggestions on the site regarding the turmoil about to ensue. Don't know how long ago they were written or if they are still in play? Maybe I am not looking in the right place? $395 is a lot of money to me that I could be using elsewhere. Not wealthy like you!
