I remember Trump saying he would go over the government with a fine-toothed comb looking for assets to create income or sell. I think Elon Musk might be given a role in that. What about refilling the strategic energy reserve as a sovereign wealth fund? Those higher 60% tariffs on China are to target electric vehicles made in Mexico and China. Lower taxes of any kind usually mean more jobs in the real economy and higher income to the federal government. I see a big difference between the candidates, even though one doesn't check all the boxes the other checks none. Bill, at times you write like you are suffering from cognitive dissonance like a Democrat. Or are you wanting to say nothing by beating both sides of the bush so as not to offend?

Thank you for saving me the time writing a reply to Bill's clueless comments. While Bill is correct that Trump turns into a Democrat on occasion which will have deleterious effects on the economy, he does get some things right. Our only way out of this mess is to drastically reduce government. Will Trump do it? Vivek was the only one proposing this. Hopefully Trump will listen to him.

Mr. Gallien, But the U.S. debt-for-jobs train is so far from the station now that it will very difficult for any POTUS or Congress to drastically reduce government spending. The new standard is $1.9T (annual deficit), previously $1.6T, and they have been run up without a crisis. I think it has been purposely done so if Pres. Trump returns (polls look pretty good, now at least, in the 7-to-8 critical states), he can't reduce it very much without pushing up unemployment among soft Americans, pacified in the 21st Century with easy money/credit. So I believe a drastic reduction would cause an electoral backlash. I think the only realistic way is for a--gradual--reduction over a decade or so. But I'm not optimistic because I blame not only the Fed, but the folks, about this mess. A majority have now become so very soft and complacent. I do agree with Bill that when things start collapsing, the Fed will step in and juice the economy to save jobs, causing a huge spike in inflation. Then what?

I do believe that Pres. Trump will try to close the border, deport millions of third-world, govt.-loving peasants with their hand out (Pres. Obama's Jeh Johnson deported millions); oppose amnesty, reparations, and price controls; bring back energy independence; cut regulations on private business; protect gun rights; protect on-line speech; protect minors from transitioning surgeries without infringing upon states' rights; stop or reduce unnecessary spending on alternative energy projects; regularly criticize wokeness; and, veto any efforts by Congress if they try to infringe upon states' rights, etc.

And many of these areas can indirectly impact the economy. Harris-Walz puppet masters will do none of these things. (And I've read opinion pieces by Jason Furman, and he's just another flunky of the Globalist Elite.)

I agree with what you're saying, but we might be past the time where "gradualism" will work. We need to do something bold and big. Problem is, as I believe you alluded to, that the country is not there philosophically and fundamentally. But that's what leadership is about - to get them there. Will Trump bring to the table all the right ideas or just some of them? We're heading towards the iceberg and just slowing the ship down is not going to avoid the collision. We need to take a new direction as you mention, and it needs to be done now. If Trump won't do it, maybe it would be better for Harris to get in resulting in sinking the ship; but at least the American public will know it is the Democrat progressive fascist nihilist ideas that brought the country down and that a free-market approach is the only thing that will save us.

Distance lends perspective and form this side of tgevpond you have a Hobsons Choice /Catch 22. Of course with our recent UK election, I'm talking from experience as well as distance unfortunately.

Right conclusion; wrong justification. It's not lower taxes; it's less regulatory impediments that frustrate wealth-making. The more wealth that's created, the more fresh revenue exists for the government to tax

There may not be 'a dime's worth of difference' between the two candidates when it comes to spending, but there's a whole lot more to governing than just the monetary policies. Cackles would be a disaster on so many levels while Trump at least has a brain that works and we stand a chance of surviving.

By suggesting a toss up between the two candidates, Bonner is ignoring open borders and climate change radical policies that are set to destroy the US before the things like a sovereign wealth fund or tariffs do that job. It is a question of whichare the most devastating policies

Wes T - absolutely SPOT-ON. There is no right answer - and the thought there is a "lesser of two evils" is idiotic. Neither are going to do anything to make America what it truly can and should be. The Government and its huge corporate sponsors are EVIL. They and as a result the U.S. is hated by the World - even our "so-call" brothers in the EU and NATO. Trump / Harris - both empty suits. The U.S. solution - sanctions and/or wars for the World. Print more US$ - tell the 60% or more of the citizens of the U.S. living paycheck to paycheck a free bone is coming your way. Really. What is coming is chaos, chaos, and more chaos. Bonner understands and he is prepared. Are you?

Wes, I’d say you & I are sufficiently prepared. I am not scampering off rat-like in a panic to bolt-hole out of CA. lol, I like my tyranny warm.

Arizona doesn’t have a snowballs chance in Hell Michigan in winter of putting a tourniquet on any Colorado R. bridge choke points.

The Fed’s already have (EO) Executive Orders and long standing operational sustainability plans. Operation Cable Splicer and Garden Plot are the 2 sub programs which will be implemented once the Rex 84 program is initiated for its proper purpose

California is a powerhouse in agricultural production, leading the nation in various crops that are in HIGH demand across ALL other states. California state’s unique climate, innovative farming techniques, and extensive irrigation systems contribute to its ability to produce a wide array of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and dairy products that are essential for both domestic consumption and export.

Did I mention exports? Domestic consumption?

▫️ California is the largest producer of milk and cream in the United States. Dairy products from California are widely distributed across the country.

▫️ California produces over 80% of the world’s almonds and 100% of the United States’ supply.

▫️California accounts for approximately 90% of the nation’s strawberries, making them a staple fruit found in grocery stores nationwide.

▫️ More than 70% of lettuce grown in the U.S. is produced in California, making it a critical vegetable for salads and other dishes.

▫️While Florida dominates fresh tomato production, California produces about 95% of tomatoes used for processing (such as canned tomatoes), which are essential ingredients for many food products.

▫️ California also leads national production for several other crops including avocados (90-95% of U.S. supply), walnuts (99%), pistachios (99%), and various types of berries.

When things go bad and the spit hits the fan; we can go out and walk around the periphery of the riot zones and pick up off the ground guns and ammo discarded by the fleeing… did I mention Rex 84 program, Operation Cable Splicer and Garden Plot [which was superseded by USNORTHCOM Concept Plan] CONPLAN 2502 following the September 11, 2001 attacks.

I feel the same way. I had a great weekend and this was such a sobering bummer. It seems so long ago (1996???) when we had a Dem president (Clinton) who pragmatically worked with a Repub controlled Congress to balance the budget and actually (I think) cut some debt. Seems impossible now.

Sorry, Bob, but the so-called balanced budget during the Clinton years was based purely on accounting gimmicks and nothing more. The national debt went up every single year of Clinton's presidency. You can check the U.S. Treasury's own website if you don't believe me.

You might feel better after reading the article linked below by David Stockman. It has quite a few generalizations and rough estimates but in the end he says a Trump presidency could reduce the deficit by 13 trillion over 10 years.

“Needless to say, $13 trillion of savings over the next decade would decisively stifle the current race to fiscal doom.”

The Son of Fred, The American Savior speaks from above. Just like the prophets who wrote the Bible, Lord Trump’s words are given to Him by God. His speech must be tailored for comprehension of the masses in the 21st Century as opposed to 6,000 years ago.

Instead referring to people or an individual as a “fool”, “foolish”, “stiff-necked”, “hard-headed”, “dull”, “idolators”, “unbelievers”, and just the same way Paul, Saul of Taurus called Elymas “child of the devil” and Jesus rebuked Peter and called him “Satan”, the Son of Fred calls Harris, “Comrad Kamala” and Gavin “Newscum”, in 21st Century context.

True in a lot of respects, but it’s missing the “Secret” passage that leads to the realm of existence, where the forces change the fabrics of time. The forces have been identified before in biblical scripture. They emit from a realm the size of a mustard seed. The Powers of the Talismans have been united once again. The last time this occurred was during the Pyramid of Giza. The portal is open and the crow’s shadow follows the night.

The state Americans have created by allowing government to grow and take over every aspect of daily life might only be solved by picking up and moving elsewhere. At the very least moving away from any large population centers. The simple life possibly a Island or some small unincorporated town in a coal region. I've been eyeing the former coal towns of middle Pennsylvania, where one can buy half of main street for $200k.

Where is John Gault so to speak.

This is just a musing, the wife would rather shoot rioters and looters than move our of the nest she's built over near 40 years.

The idea the elites haven't cooked up a plan is kind of funny, of course they have. Everything old again is new again, no better system than Feudalism. Everyone works their daily bread so the king does not have to work, and can spend his time taxing to build a castle and army. Every so often when the mouths become to plentiful to house or feed, the Lords meet and propose war games or join forces for a holy quest. The banners are unfurled and the patriots march to battle, this time around the wars won't be fought to advance Democracy but the opposite similar to our current state of affairs. Consider the state of USA a dress rehearsal for neo-feudalism where you'll own nothing and be happy or dead. They left the latter part off the plan.

As for me, I'm out of here on the next Shabuwah in 2026 before the last 7 years of trouble.

Alway ahead of the herds Dennis, as you are well read in the book and we know what is on the horizon. America no longer has a true conservative base that worships God, family and country. Our new republican members are democrats of a few decades ago, and the New democrats are socialists and communists at best. We see the damage the RINOs and democrats have inflicted on our once great country, and the horror of our incredibly rapid decline in these four past years. No coming back from it, and all those who worship at the alter of murdered babies will be the instigators of our collapse and their own destruction. Many of us are being guided by our faith, and must listen to his voice, for the day is close, and those who listen will never suffer🙏
