Hey Fred, Thanks.. Would you believe this is my first foray into a forum? No FB, no Instagram, lived 30 years in NJ and never watched the Sopranos. Hell, just lived it.

I hope this will not be an echo chamber for like-thinking people. Bill, are you listening? Why did you end the Bonner-Denning letter? I mean your diaries were depressing there, but the dailies are worse here. What do you think about Jeff Tucker over at Gilder's Prophecy? He was all gloom & doom but now sounds hopeful - in a "V for Vendetta" sort of way. Hey, chime in dudes and dudettes.

Byron King and Joel Bowman outline where it's really at. The World cannot survive without energy, and we need nuclear so that we can reduce adding way more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This requires time and resources to research, plan and develop. The media, politicians, and the general public urgently need to inform themselves of the ongoing situation from reliably truthful sources.

Hi Byrpn. Excellent conversation with Joel. I will forward it to my millennial.

I've been reading and admiring your stuff for years (say hello to Amrheim for me). Please collect and publish your essays. There is just so much inferior stuff out there.

Exactly, EdMal, I am sending this to my son. I absolutely love your stuff Byron and you have been my favorite writer for many years. What a great conversation. How can so many of the morons we have in our govt. be so dense. To discuss the value of OIL is simply a logical, progressive chain of thought. We would go back to the 1800's without oil. Greed and power are the only thing that matters with the brain-dead politicians we have in govt. now. If I could I would forward this conversation to the DOE.
