I'm a Canadian. Somewhat right of center. Your description of the Ottawa "peaceful protest" is full of distortions and outright false statements. Peaceful does not include 24/7 of horn blaring diesel engines running and street partying in areas that have a significant residents presence. They had ample time to leave without without penalty and were informed of that of repeatedly. 190 were ultimately arrested and and not all have been charged. About 200 bank accounts were frozen most of which have been unblocked. Very few injuries was a testament to both law enforcement and the protesters. Over three weeks of occupying, blocking traffic (EMS included) had to end. 90% of Canadian tuckers are vaccinated and trucking associationism condemned their actions. In the end this small minority cost Canadians millions of dollars and achieved none of their demands.
