Bill seems to be calling a spade a spade. As much as it would nice to hear a rosy picture, the Fed and our Politicians have buried us. Its refreshing to hear somebody speak from the down and dirty facts.

All I've got to say is "You guys are great". Love reading the commentary from all four of you. So much to see and learn. So much valuable advice.

Actually inflation has been around for a long time. Having to buy cereal and other staple items for the past 40 years, it is obvious that the boxes shrink and the bottles get smaller. Maybe somewhat less drastic than the recent Biden led episode, but it has been there all along. If someone took a look at potato chips and see what they cost per pound, t-bone steak looks cheap by comparison. Just check it out and see if you see what I see. Not saying that is good or bad, but business people figure all ways possible to stay in business. And, their stock holders expect to see profits. Not a great revelation, but something to compare to. Just sayin'

Problem now is folks live too long, eventually they figure out their candy bars keep shrinking.

Except for soft drinks at fast food places! A "medium" soft drink at Arby's is 22 oz. When I was young a Coke bottle was just 6 and 1/2 oz!

Thanks so much for keeping us aware of the need to stay focused on resisting the urge to make the move back in to the market during these enticing TDCB - "tempting dead cat bounces. We are truly grateful.

Enjoy the comments nearly as much as I enjoy what Bill has to say. It'd be a bit sad if we all thought the same way, but not much fear of that happening here by the looks of it.

Love it. Thank you gentlemen. Always creative. Sometimes morbid. Always worth the read.

Gary Larsen cartooned a fellow stepping up out of his bomb shelter to a hellish scene of apolcalyptic devastation, and calling down, "Thank God, Martha, we survived!"

It is probably beyond the scope of this forum, but one has to ponder how one (or one's children) will use preserved capital to lift those around them when things cycle back to sanity and respect for virtue.

My Czech family preserved the title to their home when the Communists took over, and brought it out 40 years later. That established their claim, and the home was returned to them - happily intact.

I know of people who still have the titles to lands and homes from which their predecessors were driven at gunpoint 150 years ago. Are we prepared?

Love it, wise men speak about funerals rather than treasures. U turn back to square one, run the economic cycle again and wait to see where the wheels fall off! 😂

Good on ya Bill, nice you noticed Oz and the chicks following their mother hen .. of course it's all because our "Rules Based System" is under threat .. although I'm not sure who's rules we are following ? everybody seems to have their own set of rules these days and they are usually in conflict with everyone else .. and often we quietly change our inner rules to better reflect what we want others to see and believe but real change is very hard especially for our human species most of whom now believe that 'Nothing is a Miracle' or the diminishing few who see everything as a miracle .. like suddenly reading "Cash first then Gold" as the $USD climbs and Gold drops .. yes revision to the mean is well and truly in progress and soon we'll find out what VALUE really means!

Bill lived the good times, it's a lot easier to see what has been lost, this is not going to end well for most people. Wisdom comes to those who pay attention to the signs along the road of life.

However I can't fathom Bill is still religious, I'm sure he stopped voting long ago, and figure he's not supporting of the military. Rome created Christianity out of a slight of hand, by as Jerome witnessed: "You urge me to make a new work from the old, and that I might sit as a kind of judge over the versions of Scripture dispersed throughout the whole world, and that I might resolve which among such vary, and which of these they may be which truly agree with the Greek"

No two Greek manuscripts were in agreement. Hmm... 'then we'll make up a good story and kill anyone outside of the clergy who tries to own a copy or translate into English.'
