If a house that cost $250,000 five years ago now costs $450,000, income from property taxes, so-called revenue, nearly doubled for the local tax jurisdiction without the accursed government doing anything, and yet, they often find ways to raise the tax rate incrementally for want of "revenue". (Ever see the local sheriff in a brand new car, and you're driving a clunker? How do you think that happens?) The real scam is that government never scales back or decides to do less. What we voters need to understand is that expecting the government to self-discipline as "normal" people do, is complete and utter folly. $38 trillion of acknowledged debt and counting. Best always.. “Women and girls ages 15-44 are driving the trend, and have increasingly expressed the desire to move from the US to another country — 40% said so in the most recent poll.”…and likely, most all are leftists; so this is GREAT news!! Now, if only all of the AWFL’s (Affluent White Female Leftists) would join them.

Thanks for brightening my day, Mr. Bonner!

Mr. Sluggo, And the ironic thing is that this group receives so many affirmative-action-like advantages over white males, yet they are still not happy. And, of course, how many will actually leave?

Yes Bill, “One in five Americans say they want to leave the US permanently, according to Gallup, ” and those people are the most likely causes of many of America’s problems. I say we invest in making their dreams come true and that would solve so many problems for those of us who love America and are willing to sacrifice and fight for the American Dream 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

No surprise in regards to the misquote. 40% of women 15-40 want to leave. Its not really that hard to do. I wonder how many, if any, have actually left. I'm sure there's some countries in the middle east that would welcome them with open arms.

My bet would be that the Chinese AI models are trained very differently from the US models. Perhaps the open source code of the Chinese models comes into play here, but I can’t imagine anything like a ChatGPT or a Gemini being available to Chinese citizens. There is much I don’t know here, but the very idea of “Chinese AI” seems incongruent beyond its application within the CCP and its control nodes. The Chinese would have no interest in a popular AI beyond its use as a propaganda, surveillance and control tool.

One could concentrate on who gonna "win" the AI race as it seems the big boys are doing, kinda like the space race. In the mean time some of those players have had to resort to bond offers to continue their spending, META and ORCL for example. Well that makes it appear they don't have sufficient profits to dump into development and construction and this happening while the Chinese offer cheaper, faster, better AIs. Furthermore energy supply I've read simply cannot be provided in a timely manner for the profits to pay for the explosion of energy requirements. Sounds a lot like climate change scam with wind and solar. Nothing like a great scam that all the big names fall for, what fun, and who's gonna bail the ultimate fat cats out?

I do not take AI seriously; I try to accept my humanity. I do not let it into my mind; I think of it as an evil influence.

I heard two guys talking about it; it is an interesting growing phenomenon. I read the book on its development two years late but owned Nvidia during the Covid crash when it was very low; it was a momentum investment. I tried to rekindle enthusiasm for market trading. I am just full of what if stories.

What is the purpose, the ultimate purpose of intelligence? One man said it was survival. Pretty low level considering the Doomsday clock.

Does a machine ever have consciousness?

Like man against machine in chess, we are on the way to being human noise. The machine will win; it will replicate and enhance itself. Will the will to survive dominate; the initial human programmers are intrinsically suspect, like the leaders of a One World Order. Intelligence gets full of hubris.

Will the machine, which lacks emotion and greed, think clearer.

Will it recognize an intelligence as creator of the universe and worship or like the Fallen angels challenge the ultimate intelligence.

Man will stick it inside a mountain. Will it annihilate humanity because it controls all systems.

Interesting times.

Reading this slant from BPR, one senses Bill fancies China as being altruistic.

In October U.S. REE stocks got slammed...

U.S. media reporting all sorts of progress in the REE supply.

Seems it's all BS...

In April 2025 Xi sent the world this message (from Ai):

-

On December 1, 2025, new Chinese export controls will take effect, requiring foreign companies to obtain licenses to export products containing at least 0.1% of certain rare earth materials sourced from China.

This move is part of China's strategy to tighten its grip on critical supply chains and limit access to these materials for military applications.

Alex Karo, Peter Theil, Larry Ellison and Elon Musk would make great villains in a Twilight Zone remake of "The Brain Center at Whipple's". While the three tech bros sit in their office celebrating the success of their robots and AI controlled surveillance state a robot enters the room and tells them they are no longer needed.

14-44 year old women want to move from the USA do you say?

This might be the best possible scenario. A month later when they come begging back those who remained behind will learn just how good they have it. This includes those desiring a stay in any European nation. Those who choose non Western nations will be shocked to learn they are not victims or second class citizens. These will learn temper tantrums are not wise, nor do they provide the result intended. Police are not so accommodating, nor are the locals towards irrational exchanges.

The idea these immature irrational people believe America's rule of law system is racist or homophobic, etc. It might be wise to require all voters to live outside of America in any nation of their choice penniless where they can work their way back to USA. I've always enjoyed traveling, knowing I had access to my funds and an American passport for the return.

Our most recent trip to Turkey, would slap sense into these folks. The grumpy Turkish fellow in customs claimed our Visa's were invalid. Directing us to another window $65 or $130 total was demanded in USD or Euros, Turkish Lira were not accepted. The official Visa's were simply a pen mark applied to invalid Visa. In America there would be recourse in Turkey not so much.

We were not the only Americans treated so, a fellow America did not have sufficient USD the ATM's had none to give. I traded him USD for Turkish Lira needless to say he was very grateful. It seems Turkey had a large devaluation of their currency a few days before. It was 28,000 Lira for $1000 USD when we arrived. I decided using credit cards was best and changed the lira back to Euro's as we were heading towards Greece.

This is all humorus Canada is a welfare state (land titles in BC are now in contention) the US is a welfare state those dependent are unlikey to move anytime soon. While those who see their fortunes slowly errode will know in advance of others, the biggest recipients in the wholesale theft are the ones they hoped would stop it.

Its been said ignorance is bliss.

I always find it comical when someone drags out the "unconstitutional" word and starts flinging it around. The US government gave up worrying about what is or is not constitutional well over a hundred years ago, so worrying about it in 2025 is pointless.

Yes, I understand what you’re saying! He’s ordering the bombing of boats that he has never proven are carrying drugs, and we are not at war with the country where the boats come from! The UK, and a few other countries are not sharing information with us anymore because they don’t want to find themselves embroiled in a lawsuit if it ever comes to that! Jack Devine, the former head of the CIA, insists that Trump can do whatever he wants to do, and that the CIA has never been involved in any drug deals! So yes, morals are clearly not mandatory! He and Judge Nap had a rather terse disagreement about the legality and constitutionality!
