If a house that cost $250,000 five years ago now costs $450,000, income from property taxes, so-called revenue, nearly doubled for the local tax jurisdiction without the accursed government doing anything, and yet, they often find ways to raise the tax rate incrementally for want of "revenue". (Ever see the local sheriff in a brand new car, and you're driving a clunker? How do you think that happens?) The real scam is that government never scales back or decides to do less. What we voters need to understand is that expecting the government to self-discipline as "normal" people do, is complete and utter folly. $38 trillion of acknowledged debt and counting. Best always..
