Hi Paul, coming from Europe and not so familiar with every aspect of American life, I fully agree with the points you mentioned. Only regarding Trump I have not understood this phenomenon. Is he by chance in many things pointing to the real problems, or does he truly understand what he wants and why he wants it? And why is he as a person so rude, or is this just his way to get attention? Really puzzling to me this person. But in general he foresees the problems coming and he speaks up.
Trump is bombastic which he used when he was a TV personality. I personally am embarrassed by how he "acts" and wish he would tone it down. He should know better because his aunt, who was from Wales, helped start a huge revival of Jesus in Wales. I have heard from many people who know him personally, or who have met him, and they say he is amazing and makes each person feel very important to him and he is attentive. I cannot answer how he became the way he is, but it could have to do with a "persona" he cultivated when he was on TV?

For those that were blessed with growing up among truly loving parents (less than 20% of Americans?), they have most likely experienced the real deal, and thereby feel no need to "outclass" anyone else.

Nevertheless, I can speak from personal experience, that, for a small (?) minority, it is possible for one's love trajectory to change from being parasitic and/or depressed to being confident of being loved, wanted, and needed.
