Great article as ever but the index you mention is ‘Bold’ as in Bitcoin and Gold in a 20% : 80 % ratio rather than Bond - not a place you want to be at the moment!
Canada and NATO supply weapons to Ukraine....Ukraine supplies the dead! This could have been settled peacefully with No NATO and Neutrality for Ukraine. Alas the insane are running the asylum.
Hi Joel, Just a quick personal note as you're writing from Broxbourne as my parents house was in Cheshunt just a few miles down from you on the A10 Cambridge Road. Is that where you guys started out from ? I haven't read what the connection is. I remember the River Lea, the New River Navigation canal plus the Broxbourne Weir. Nice to remember old times. Thanks for your great writing in troubled times. BW Paul
One thing you can always count on, when empires near the end it's because they fought the wrong wars and made alliances with the wrong people. Ukraine is known to be one of the most corrupt Nations on the planet. The first democratic election resulted in a pro Russian candidate. The CIA backed the coup and the rest is history. Only in politics would men like Zelensky and Biden be given a place on the world stage.
Joel, Thanks for the variety of message. Frankly, I found today's session a little too peripatetic for me. The complexity of the macroeconomics bamboozle most of us. One of the values of the Bonner group is the effort to dig deep, attempt rationalization, and help us avoid the oversimplification that can make fools of us all. I remember dodge-ball as a kid and that seems to be the imperative today.
True reports about some strife in Europe but why scare off our American cousins with alarmist war on ‘the doorstep’ stories? It’s 1,500 miles between London and Kyiv so some common sense and perspective please. We should NOT create additional reasons for people to stay away from our beautiful part of the world!!
Joel, yes there always is a lot to be negative about, more so at the moment, but does cynicism really fire off so much serotonin in your brain? You and Bill would make interesting case studies for psychology.
I, only, a minute past tried to renew (update) my subscripiton, when clicking on one year there was NO movment to enter information. My card is Discover, which in the past your bank did not cover, however, DINERS CLUB, is accepted internationally, if these cards remain UN-FIXED I am happy to
