PGV.... seems to me, whatever that is worth, you consistently fall prey to the narrow menu Bill gently warns against. You are choosing from the narrow menu of either Putin good-Ukraine bad or Putin bad-Ukraine good. You have clearly chosen sides- Putin bad, but you give no evidence that you have even considered Bills main point... it is a defective menu and the truth is not on it. Both sides of the menu are equally false (covid is weaponized coronavirus vs naturally occurring, either Putin is bad or Ukraine/NATO is bad, “if we could just pass the Republican agenda” vs “if we could just pass the Democrat agenda”... A slightly broader view demands that we consider the possibility that all of these narrow menus are a distraction from understanding the core issue being obscured by such passionate debates. As I read Bill, I think he believes the core issue is that the money is going. And when the money goes, “everything goes”. I fear he is correct

Ah yes, the challenges of raising cattle. I know it well having done it for the past 60+ years. Unless the bulls were in very close proximity to each other or there were physical signs of a lightning strike where each bull was found, I respectively suggest the bulls be examined for alternative causes of their demise (gunshot wound, toxic plants, clostridial disease, etc.). Good luck and Best Regards.

I'm looking forward to updates from the ranch in Argentina. I enjoyed those very much last year. It's such a different world, like going back in a time machine to the old west.

Have a hard time reconciling the analogy of Canadian truckers and Putin invasion. Were any public officials or people in Canada intentionally murdered?

Perhaps a closer review of the Emergency Act would be beneficial such that it would put it in context as to its legality and subsequent approval by a majority vote in Parliament.

In any case the 'freedom convoy' is now the subject of lawsuits that would bankrupt most of the participants.

It would also be useful to understand the manifesto of the protest which was to dissolve Parliament and have the country run by a protest committee plus the Senate and Governor general...thereby stealing the votes from the Canadian voting public.

In other words Bill, the start of an autocratic committee. Sounds good?

A well written clarification on the use of the Emergency Act by our lawfully elected government. Pity the so called "freedom convoy" illegally protesting the "tyrannical actions" of the Provincial and Federal governments on the Covid restrictions to ensure the health and safety of the country at large that infringed on the "rights" and "freedoms" of a vocal few.

In the light of recent world event, the actions of the brave Ukrainian leadership and people to resist the Russian hoards at all cost in the defence of their country, their rights and their freedoms against overwhelming odds highlights just how otherly petty and inane the participants of "freedom convoy" are.

Friday February 25th I spent 9 hours at a hospital undergoing tests. 80% of the time was just waiting, done in a room that had a TV tuned to Fox News. (I don't watch TV news generally.) This was in the first couple of days of the Ukraine invasion, and throughout the day news on that invasion was the only news presented. I think there was once a brief, maybe five minute, segment on national USA weather. All the rest was on Ukraine. My conclusion: All the varied news that could and would have been presented on a normal day, in the absence of a Ukraine invasion, must pretty much be useless drivel, not worth mentioning if 'real' news is suddenly available.

Bill

With respect - on this one you should have thought before writing this nonsense

What was The West supposed to do?

Just wring their hands and lament at the UN ?

( drop these silly Hillary remarks- the woman is history)

Yes sanctions are a fairly blunt sword - and as a non- yank I hate how the US has used it in the past - but , short of risking a nuclear war, doing simply nothing was hardly an option in these outrageous circumstances .

Putin is punching way above his weight ( the GDP of Texas is 25% bigger than Russia ) an incredibly large country but a relatively economic minnow ( as they would say at your French abode ):

Il pete plus haut que son cul

Bon voyage

Christian

I too will not and cannot post my resume: sworn to secrecy for life. The Russian businessman part is probably "fake news". You don't advertise those kinds of things, whether you are in Russia or not. Putin will be taken care of, one way or another. Just saying. Florida Jimmy.

Too bad you don't play golf, Bill. I would love to spend about four hours with you driving my "Titleist v-8" into the woods, the water, and the sand bunkers.

Keep it up! First let me say that I've enjoyed reading your analysis of daily happenings, thank you. I read the energy, money, and trust. Was really tracking with your reasoning and getting into the logic and then you showed me a picture of a dead cow, a bull to be exact as was evidenced by the photos from different angles. You really know how to brighten ones day; the world is going to hell in a hand basket, inflation, war, but here's a cow that was so unlucky as to be hit by lightning. At least the lucky cuss didn't see it coming. Would that we could be so fortunate. Have safe travels.

Thank you PG V for a little sanity in all the insanity. I always look forward to your comments.

I have heard talk about ousting Russia from the UN. More insanity. I don't know if they could even do that and still have a United Nations. Could the UN, who mostly condemns Russia, do that? Could the UN send a Peacekeeping Force to Ukraine? Just saying! Florida Jimmy.

I am in complete agreement with you. i am 83 years young. I am a Jesus Freak. I've been through WWII as a six-year-old lad. I served in the US Navy and worked for the DoD most of my life. You said you were retirement age. I have retired three times. It's boring! Work keeps me young; that and being around young people. I am long in Gold. I played the stock market when I was young and don't care a thing about what it does. I really like Bill's writing. I like your "spot on" comments. I've been all over the World and always happy to get back to USA. I've smoked cigars since I was 13 and every time I go to a doctor, he or she says, "You don't smoke do you, because I can tell by listening to a person's lungs how many packs of cigarettes a person smokes a day". They find it hard to believe when I tell them I smoke a box of fifty cigars a week. Things turn around. They used to have special areas in a restaurant for non-smokers. Now you can't smoke anywhere but your own home. I think you are the one that said 20 or 30 years ago they were worried about a new Ice Age. Now they're worried about Global Warming. Shit happens whether you want it to or not you just got to roll with the punches and make the best of today. Just Saying. Florida Jimmy.
