We know politicians, are corrupt (for ever), so stop blaming that group. You need to move

to the masses that have chosen to discard WISDOM, and stick THEIR hand out. Gimme, gimme,

this crap is at all levels from farm subsidies, through Cooperate management, student loans and

scholarships. The people get what they deserve. Therefore, point the finger at the MASSES.

Mr. Wood, You nailed it. Bill just can't--publicly at least--bring himself to blame a majority of Americans for being soft, irresponsible, greedy, and pacified (especially the way they are this century). He just can't do it. It's not in his DNA.

I have followed Bill before BPR, and when pressed some years back by readers to say what he would do about the ridiculous debt runup if he were POTUS, his reply was that he would try to slash the spending, then would be quickly removed from office by a terrified and angry Congress. So he knows how soft, greedy, and irresponsible most Americans are.

What I hope he would do is face reality, and indicate what he would do as POTUS to--gradually--reduce the debt so not to let unemployment rise dramatically among soft Americans (i.e., a super-realistic attempt to address this debt-for-jobs lunacy). Some examples: moving toward energy independence; slashing regulations; riding herd on govt. regulators; riding herd on the Fed; closing the borders; encouraging free (but fair) trade with other countries; riding herd on the Defense Dept to see if we can stay out of wars, while protecting the sea lanes for trade; and, providing funds only for essential military items, such as ensuring our ultimate peace-keepers; aka the U.S. nuclear submarine force--has what it needs to always be the best. And find a way to gradually find jobs for the millions of private sector defense workers (voters) as the military budget is reduced so to provide a truly well-oiled defensive fighting machine.

Hi Frank -

Agree with everything you wrote, with the caveat that not ALL Americans are the way you describe. There are millions of softies, but there are also millions like the majority of people here - Productive, Conscientious and hard as rock when necessary.

It's fixin' to become necessary, friends.

One thing hardly ever mentioned - Waste and Fraud. If we could "ride herd" on just those two grifts and get as close to ELIMINATING them as possible (particularly with the "entitlements" programs and DoD), I believe the results would be amazing and truly start to right our rapidly-sinking fiscal ship with a LOT less pain for those of us who are playing by the rules...

I did write "most" and "a majority of." But yes, good idea about eliminating waste and fraud. This would be very helpful without the risky need to reduce employment.

Ralph, don't blame the messenger for the message you don't like. The dumbing down of the masses has been going on for 75 years at a slow boil. The education system is rigged to influence the youth into one thought process that makes them not responsible for their own actions, and that everyone is equal in all aspects regardless of their abilities. That is not true and never has been and never will be true. The youth are educated to have their hand out to get ahead. Instead of educating themseleves and have a work ethic that self success is earned from hard work, not how long you have your hand out. If anyone is to blame, it's the government school system that teaches mediocrity is success and will be rewarded by government support. Don't read me wrong, there are people in our society that are challenged and have limited abilities. It's those that we need to support, the rest of the freeloaders need to be kicked to the curb with some tough love. I'm afraid we are too far down that freeloader road to go back at this point so we get what we get, dumb and dumber for presidential choices. More wars are on the horizon to keep the federal government spending we don't have under the rally of patriotism and the flag. Unless someone attacks the lower 48, Alaska or Hawaii. The US. Should mind our own business...But we wont...

Bill is correct in blaming the corrupt politicians and government regulators and collaborators since they are the people making the actual decisions that are degrading our society. Greedy "masses" do not receive government largess unless it is given to them by the political class. Bill's wrath is targeted on the correct perpetrators.

These truths that Bill puts out everyday and depressing. Until the people wise up and vote in representatives that care about the country we are doomed. Good honest people will not run because the media is owned by the 1% and they will do all they can to get their people in who will make them richer at our kids and grandkids expense. The American press is no better than Pravda in the old Soviet Union.

What representatives are willing to run or can afford to run that will buck the trend? Trump has his flaws but is the closest thing to someone who cares. Had a great chat with Elon last night and if he can control his spending (or rather if Congress can) there’s a 1 percent chance we can right this ship. Only chance out there.

OK, Gang, unlike Mr. Bonner, I'll cut to the chase:

1) We're suckers. The few of us who aren't don't statistically matter.

2) They know we're suckers who can't do anything about it.

3) All government, of whatever form, eventually goes bad. Some government is bad from the get-go, but even if at one time good, all government everywhere and every time eventually goes bad.

4) The bigger the governed entity, the more feckless the government.

End of story. As was once popular to say, "Have a nice day." Best always. PM

"One fundamental principle of a constitutional republic is the protection of minority rights against the potential tyranny of the majority. This design counters direct democracy, where majority rules could potentially ride roughshod over minority interests". -https://www.usconstitution.net/republic-vs-democracy/

I think this identifies the problem ... the constitution is being ignored and abused by 'the Elite' and the 'Deep State'.

It's easy to get sucked into the noise surrounding the election. Bill consistently pulls us up into the stratosphere, where he points at the BIG PICTURE and BIG TRENDS. You can't function effectively down on Earth in the micro-world, if you don't balance it with a view of the macro. So glad that Tom is Bill's defensive coordinator, and Dan "Mr. Chart," the analyst. I can never say enough about this team.

Mr. Bonner asks:

"When did it ever make sense to shut down the real economy and pass out trillions in printed-up credit money? "

It made sense between 2019 (fall) and now as a racket to implement :

Tight digital controls

Accelerate the introduction of CBDC´s and push back the use of cash as far as possible

The infrastructure for travel/moving restrictions (Vax-Pass et.al.)

The acceptance of genetic modifying therapies, falsely claimed to be Vaccines and

further the major shift in pharmaceutical production towards modMrna platforms.

Test and "improve" the compliance of average people to whatever weird policies socalled elites figured out.

Please fill in any gap I left....

Mind control of the majority of people, is the goal.

In OZ most of the people I meet seem aware that all is not well but will not say what they really think!

Not sure what you mean with OZ.

Generally I encounter the same behaviour. It's too uncomfortable to explore the own deficits.

It can't be stopped, absolute power (which they have) corrupts absolutely - we're living through the decay, and eventual death, of yet another Empire and there's nothing "we" can do about it The only major difference to all the others Empires is this one has the ability to destroy mankind, which, when push comes to shove, it probably will.

John, I believe you hit the proverbial nail on the head - "push comes to shove, they probably will" because they are so delusional and stuffed with hubris. What is that ol' Dirty Harry saying - "A man has to know his limitations." Unfortunately the elites, deep state, and our so-called representative have no clue. They just can't fathom they are NOT in control of the whole world.

Will try again - had some trouble posting. Some delay getting articles in Australia.

Many mention that neither the Presidential Candidates or VP Candidates have mentioned $35T in accumulated debt. Dangerously, it indicates total ignorance of a problem that must be dealt with one day. (Soon).

In perspective there is also little mention of China's debt and hemorrhaging property and share market as well as big deficits in most developed nations, and also undeveloped nations.

Casual observer would assume that all have or are ' printing money to oblivion'.

Third world countries have joined in. The World financial system is 'floating in s...t.

This is commented in your articles and massive PE ratios continue as do warnings.

Don't take this in a derogatory nature it is merely an observation. The masses are like sheep and most are to busy with the likes of facebook and all the other social distractions of so called entertainment and do not attempt to read meaningful information.

A few of you may have heard of a fellow by the name of Shel Silverstein - a poet. When i think of the general public today I think most politicians must have read his poem "The Perfect High" Look it up and read it ends like a political playbook. Find it here https://allpoetry.com/the-perfect-high.

The last verse goes like this - "Well, that is that," says Baba Fats, sitting back down on his stone,

Facing another thousand years of talking to God alone.

"It seems, Lord", says Fats, "it’s always the same, old men or bright–eyed youth,

It’s always easier to sell them some shit than it is to give them the truth."

Bill,

Are you right that Trump did not cut spending to off-set his across-the-board tax cuts. In fact, he increased spending mostly to support peace through strength. Art Laffer, the creator of the Laffer Curve and DJT´s top economic adviser showed that the optimum tax rate was significantly less than the rates he inherited upon entering the Oval Office. The result was a massive increase in IRS revenue. This ott to be obvious. The more of your own money one gets to keep the more economic activity you create and the more revenue the IRS receives. The individual pays less tax, BUT there are many more individuals paying taxes. Now, I know you are well aware of everything I´ve just said. Did you leave this out of the article simply because you have TRUMP derangement syndrom?

Anything that keeps more money in the people's hands and out of this corrupt government is a positive. They are going to print and spend in any case.
